From booking to check-out, every detail makes people feel intimate and comfortable. Environment: The B&B is located at the foot of the mountain. You can see the pastoral scenery when you open the window. You are awakened by the sun and birdsong in the morning, and you can enjoy the beautiful starry sky at night. It's like living in a painting! Room: The room we stayed in was clean and tidy. The design style combines the Bai tradition with modern simplicity. The original wood furniture and ethnic decoration are particularly tasteful. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the shower water pressure is also sufficient. It is very comfortable to live. Service: The boss and the boss lady are super enthusiastic! Not only did they help with the luggage, but they also recommended us niche attractions and food that only locals know, and even prepared a travel map. Drinking tea and chatting in the yard at night, it feels as warm as going home. Features: The terrace outside the restaurant is a great place to take pictures and check in. A very exquisite treasure homestay. When you first enter the courtyard, the flowers everywhere make you feel happy. You can feel the care of the proprietress in every corner of the house, and every window view is a painting. The homestay is about 10 minutes' drive from the ancient town, and the proprietress needs to pick you up in and out. If you want to go anywhere around, the proprietress can also send you, which is very suitable for people who come to Shaxi to rest. In other aspects, it can be said to be customized service. For example, the type of breakfast, milk before bed, etc. I remember that there was a power outage on the two days we went there. In order to make coffee for me, the proprietress directly ground it by hand, which was so touching. It took more than half a month to comment after I came back. I miss every day in Shaxi so much. Next time I will bring my children to play together, especially recommended for people who like quietness.

They offer a daily shuttle service, which is very convenient and saves you from taking taxis and waiting for public transport. Design: The courtyard retains the architectural features of the Bai ethnic group, with a timber structure. It's very comfortable to stay in; the heating keeps it warm, and the design is fantastic! There are a few cats in the courtyard, and a clear koi pond. Sitting there, sunbathing and petting the cats is very pleasant! Environment: My room had a direct view of the courtyard, and the sunlight shone directly into the room, creating beautiful natural light. Other rooms offer views of vast rice paddies. Next time, I'll book a room with a rural view; it must be beautiful in summer with rapeseed flowers and rice paddies! Cleanliness: The toiletries are L'Occitane, the hairdryer is Dyson, and the sound system is Marshall. It's even more comfortable than home! The cleanliness is excellent; everything is kept very spotless. Service: The service was superb! Even before I arrived, the butler contacted me to give me directions. There was welcome fruit, a pre-booking goodnight dessert, and information about breakfast and afternoon tea for the next day. It was so convenient for a lazy person like me! The rice noodles for breakfast were delicious! The yogurt was also great 😘 Afternoon Tea Set: Includes fruit, coffee, desserts, and bread. Dining in their café offers a fantastic view. This afternoon tea set, included in the room rate, is definitely the most worthwhile item; everyone should experience it! Facilities: Everything is new, Dyson and Marshall all contribute to a great experience.

We arrived quite late, so we missed out on some services, but the staff were incredibly welcoming, and the complimentary gifts they gave us were super practical and high-quality products. Let me talk about the guesthouse's environment and design. This place clearly put a lot of thought into it, and it really impressed me. Every single detail, from a painting to a cup or a decorative item, felt thoughtfully chosen, and the aesthetic was absolutely on point. This is definitely not your average guesthouse! Furthermore, the shampoo and shower gel provided are the same high-end brands you'd find in five-star hotels like St. Regis and InterContinental. The toilets, pillows, and duvet, all the daily essentials, were incredibly well-selected! You can tell a lot of care went into choosing them. For breakfast, I chose the Western option, and both the ingredients and the presentation were incredibly fresh and well-balanced nutritionally. The latte art was beautiful too! 🤩 Plus, the guesthouse is located right at the entrance of the ancient town, which is an excellent spot! I initially chose this place because of its location, but after staying, I feel I made the perfect choice. My friends who stayed with me loved it too, and I recommended it to many people the very next morning. If I get the chance again, I'll definitely stay for a few more nights to fully soak it all in!

Location: Couldn't be better, right in the heart of the ancient town, tucked away in an alley next to the opera stage. It's incredibly quiet, yet you're in the bustling area within half a minute of stepping out. Cleanliness: Pretty clean. The ladies cleaning are all very proactive and efficient 😀. Ambiance: Right now, in early March, the plum blossoms are out. I heard that in May, the wisteria and silk floss trees in the courtyard will be absolutely stunning when they bloom, and the flowering season lasts about a month. Friends who are interested should definitely visit then. Service: Absolutely outstanding, it completely exceeded my expectations. The concierge, Paopao, was incredibly helpful. He assisted with luggage both at check-in and check-out and was basically at my beck and call, handling every single request 😁😁😁. He really understands guests' needs. For example, he gave me a bamboo basket for the market (which I initially found strange, but it totally proved its worth!), and he even took me and other guesthouse friends to catch fish with a net (he managed everything with his incredible connections!). Everything was arranged so thoughtfully and thoroughly – what a treasure! He's the pillar of this place! 🤭 Food: The breakfast presentation was beautiful, and it tasted delicious. The portions were just right, and the dining environment was superb. I've already recommended it to my friends!

A very satisfying stay! I booked this place because I loved its style. The guesthouse has two courtyards with flowers, grass, trees, and a super cute chubby cat named Tuantuan! 🐱❤️ The entire hotel was new and clean. The staff were incredibly welcoming, helping with my luggage as soon as I got out of the car. They were also very helpful and responsive to any questions I asked on WeChat. They even provided welcome fruit, afternoon tea, and a sweet evening soup. This was my first time in Shaxi, and the many small details of the hotel touched me and increased my positive impression of Shaxi. 😘 The hotel also offers a free traditional Chinese armchair craft experience, which was really fun! The hotel is located in the ancient town, and if you want to visit the surrounding villages, the staff will help arrange transportation and recommend less crowded, photogenic spots. I went to a coffee shop recommended by the hotel, and it was absolutely gorgeous! I also saw a stunning sunset! 🌄

We stayed at Fanshu for 6 nights during our visit to Shaxi. The location is excellent, very close to the ancient town, Hualong Village, and Bailong Village. Parking is convenient, and the surrounding environment is incredibly peaceful. The accommodation itself is fantastic; the rooms are spacious and bright with complete amenities, and the bedding and rooms are all very clean. The owner is a local, and this is also their home, with the family living right behind the guesthouse. Any issues are resolved immediately. Breakfast is included and consists of homemade rice noodles, 'er si' (a type of rice cake noodle), or regular noodles – they are absolutely delicious! We were traveling with a one-year-old, and the owner was incredibly nice and helped us out so much, often offering assistance proactively. We were so touched! They run the guesthouse like they're running their own home, treating every guest with such kindness. Such a wonderful guesthouse shouldn't be overlooked. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

The hotel's design is meticulously crafted, with rammed earth walls and wooden lattice windows juxtaposed with modern minimalism. Linen curtains, natural wood furniture, and floor-to-ceiling windows blend seamlessly, offering panoramic views of rolling rooftops and layered mountains. On sunny days, the drifting clouds across the mountain ridges create a scene reminiscent of a close-up of the famous Chinese painting, ”A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains.” The hotel's luxurious furnishings, exclusive boutique toiletries, and attentive butler service ensured a restful sleep: waking up felt like breathing had slowed, as if everything had paused. Right outside the hotel lies a five-acre field, where rice paddies bloom in spring and wheat ears in autumn. A stroll through the hotel's backyard offers the same breathtaking views of wheat fields on windy days. Ride the complimentary bicycles provided by the guesthouse, wander freely, watch the morning mist, browse bookstores, explore the ancient town, and enjoy coffee. Shaxi never rushes you; it simply allows your soul to gently return to its place.

A treasure homestay in Shaxi Ancient Town, in a nearby village. The owner will pick you up to the ancient town. It has a Japanese dry landscape garden. The room supplies are very good, clean and tidy, and the bedding is particularly comfortable. You can see that the owner is taking care of the inn very carefully. The moss can be grown so well. There is also a viewing platform on the second floor where you can sit and drink afternoon tea and have breakfast. The scenery is very good. The breakfast is delicious meat sauce rice noodles cooked by the local auntie. The cake made by the boss's wife is also great. Recommended!

The public areas are beautiful, and the afternoon tea and breakfast were both delicious. Parking is also convenient. It's located on the riverbank just outside the ancient city, making it relatively quiet. The rooms, however, are just average, with a lack of attention to detail. Of the two rooms I booked, one had poor privacy, so I had to keep the curtains drawn all day. Also, the prices vary across different platforms; I found it to be over 200 RMB cheaper per room on Douyin, so I'd recommend comparing prices before booking.
