A perfect holiday experience, this Dali B&B made me linger!
Content:
The most surprising thing about this trip to Dali was staying in this B&B! From booking to check-out, every detail makes people feel intimate and comfortable.
Environment: The B&B is located at the foot of the mountain. You can see the pastoral scenery when you open the window. You are awakened by the sun and birdsong in the morning, and you can enjoy the beautiful starry sky at night. It's like living in a painting!
Room: The room we stayed in was clean and tidy. The design style combines the Bai tradition with modern simplicity. The original wood furniture and ethnic decoration are particularly tasteful. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the shower water pressure is also sufficient. It is very comfortable to live.
Service: The boss and the boss lady are super enthusiastic! Not only did they help with the luggage, but they also recommended us niche attractions and food that only locals know, and even prepared a travel map. Drinking tea and chatting in the yard at night, it feels as warm as going home.
Features: The terrace outside the restaurant is a great place to take pictures and check in. It is so beautiful at sunrise and sunset! The B&B is very close to Shaxi Ancient Town, and it is super convenient to check in at celebrity photo spots.
If you come to Dali, you must stay here! Super cost-effective, full of atmosphere, I will come again next time!

Guest UserI stayed here for four or five days straight, and it was truly wonderful! The shower had a huge overhead rainfall showerhead with great water pressure, and the room's soundproofing was excellent. Every morning, the landlady would prepare a lovely breakfast. The entire building probably only has six or seven rooms. There were too many people taking photos in the scenic area, so I ended up taking all my pictures downstairs at the guesthouse – they turned out great! The owner can offer pick-up and drop-off to Shaxi Ancient Town (it's very close), or you can use the guesthouse's electric scooter for free. The hotel's location is convenient for getting anywhere, and there's also free parking for cars, which was a lifesaver since we drove all the way from Dali Airport!

A very exquisite treasure homestay. When you first enter the courtyard, the flowers everywhere make you feel happy. You can feel the care of the proprietress in every corner of the house, and every window view is a painting.
The homestay is about 10 minutes' drive from the ancient town, and the proprietress needs to pick you up in and out. If you want to go anywhere around, the proprietress can also send you, which is very suitable for people who come to Shaxi to rest.
In other aspects, it can be said to be customized service. For example, the type of breakfast, milk before bed, etc. I remember that there was a power outage on the two days we went there. In order to make coffee for me, the proprietress directly ground it by hand, which was so touching.
It took more than half a month to comment after I came back. I miss every day in Shaxi so much. Next time I will bring my children to play together, especially recommended for people who like quietness.

Great location! Convenient transportation
I'm a girl who traveled to Shaxi for a week in early September. He Mu was my second accommodation, and I extended my stay until I left. Because I stayed inside the ancient town on my first day, it was inconvenient to move around with my suitcase. He Mu is conveniently located and offers shuttle service. Early September is the rice harvest season, avoiding the awkward period of rice fertilization in June, so the scenery outside the window was exceptionally pleasant. I heard that wheat is planted after the rice harvest in November.
I must commend the hotel facilities! The most delightful thing was the incredibly comfortable bedding. The pure cotton four-piece set was soft and skin-friendly, and the goose down comforter was lightweight. As someone with sensitive sleep, I loved it! Perhaps because it's in the countryside, the nights are very quiet, with only the faint chirping of birds and insects. Even with two cups of coffee a day, I was able to sleep until I naturally woke up – thank goodness!
Since I went during the off-season, the hotel upgraded me to the second floor for free, and I had to make sure to take my daily bath ritual, which I think contributed to my good night's sleep. The hotel toothbrushes were good, and disposable toilet seats and face towels were provided. What's even better is that the moisturizer is also great. I'm totally sold!

Location: The guesthouse is located in Hualong Village, about 1.5 kilometers from Shaxi Ancient Town. It's neither too noisy nor too far from the hustle and bustle. Special praise goes to the guesthouse manager for their service; you can contact them to make reservations for trips to the ancient town. They offer a daily shuttle service, which is very convenient and saves you from taking taxis and waiting for public transport.
Design: The courtyard retains the architectural features of the Bai ethnic group, with a timber structure. It's very comfortable to stay in; the heating keeps it warm, and the design is fantastic! There are a few cats in the courtyard, and a clear koi pond. Sitting there, sunbathing and petting the cats is very pleasant!
Environment: My room had a direct view of the courtyard, and the sunlight shone directly into the room, creating beautiful natural light. Other rooms offer views of vast rice paddies. Next time, I'll book a room with a rural view; it must be beautiful in summer with rapeseed flowers and rice paddies!
Cleanliness: The toiletries are L'Occitane, the hairdryer is Dyson, and the sound system is Marshall. It's even more comfortable than home! The cleanliness is excellent; everything is kept very spotless.
Service: The service was superb! Even before I arrived, the butler contacted me to give me directions. There was welcome fruit, a pre-booking goodnight dessert, and information about breakfast and afternoon tea for the next day. It was so convenient for a lazy person like me! The rice noodles for breakfast were delicious! The yogurt was also great 😘
Afternoon Tea Set: Includes fruit, coffee, desserts, and bread. Dining in their café offers a fantastic view. This afternoon tea set, included in the room rate, is definitely the most worthwhile item; everyone should experience it!
Facilities: Everything is new, Dyson and Marshall all contribute to a great experience.

Location: Couldn't be better, right in the heart of the ancient town, tucked away in an alley next to the opera stage. It's incredibly quiet, yet you're in the bustling area within half a minute of stepping out.
Cleanliness: Pretty clean. The ladies cleaning are all very proactive and efficient 😀.
Ambiance: Right now, in early March, the plum blossoms are out. I heard that in May, the wisteria and silk floss trees in the courtyard will be absolutely stunning when they bloom, and the flowering season lasts about a month. Friends who are interested should definitely visit then.
Service: Absolutely outstanding, it completely exceeded my expectations. The concierge, Paopao, was incredibly helpful. He assisted with luggage both at check-in and check-out and was basically at my beck and call, handling every single request 😁😁😁. He really understands guests' needs. For example, he gave me a bamboo basket for the market (which I initially found strange, but it totally proved its worth!), and he even took me and other guesthouse friends to catch fish with a net (he managed everything with his incredible connections!). Everything was arranged so thoughtfully and thoroughly – what a treasure! He's the pillar of this place! 🤭
Food: The breakfast presentation was beautiful, and it tasted delicious. The portions were just right, and the dining environment was superb.
I've already recommended it to my friends!

As a frequent traveler, Changle Li Guesthouse felt wonderfully warm, natural, and poetic. The classical decor and comprehensive facilities created a perfect ambiance. I drifted off to sleep under a canopy of stars and woke up to the soothing chirping of insects. The breakfast was uniquely delightful, and the service was exceptionally thoughtful. Behind the guesthouse, Kuidou Teahouse is a protected cultural heritage site, where one can burn incense, savor tea, and even practice calligraphy. I'll definitely be staying for a month next time!

A treasure homestay in Shaxi Ancient Town, in a nearby village. The owner will pick you up to the ancient town. It has a Japanese dry landscape garden. The room supplies are very good, clean and tidy, and the bedding is particularly comfortable. You can see that the owner is taking care of the inn very carefully. The moss can be grown so well. There is also a viewing platform on the second floor where you can sit and drink afternoon tea and have breakfast. The scenery is very good. The breakfast is delicious meat sauce rice noodles cooked by the local auntie. The cake made by the boss's wife is also great. Recommended!

Guest UserFor this staycation, I went to The Linden Centre and even got to stay in the room featured in the movie 'Have a Nice Day'. It was incredibly relaxing.
The hotel is located within the Shibao Mountain Scenic Area, opposite Shilong Village. It's rustic and quiet, with minimal light pollution, so at night you can look up and see a sky full of stars. During the day, you can participate in various hotel activities, so there's never a dull moment. It's also very convenient to ask the hotel to arrange a car if you want to visit the nearby Jianchuan Ancient Town.
The rooms have underfloor heating, so there's no air conditioning noise, and they even provide power banks. You can order food from the restaurant and have it delivered to your room, and everything tastes great. I particularly recommend the passion fruit fish and the yellow braised chicken – delicious!
The service was just right – attentive without being intrusive. One thing I really appreciated is that most of the staff at the front desk are women, such as Dongmei, Xiao Meng, Hailey, and another short-haired woman whose name I didn't catch. Their attentiveness made me feel very secure and well cared for.
I was wonderfully looked after this holiday and I'm already looking forward to visiting again in the rainy season to forage for mushrooms!

This is a small, cozy homy hotel located right next to the old town. It is literally at the entrance to the pedestrian streets, but not right in the center, so it is very quiet at night. The room on the second floor has a wonderful view of the river and a private balcony.
Everything is very clean and comfortable. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the blanket is nice and warm.
A special thank you for the hospitality of the owners – thank you so much!
I really loved the cute little garden inside and the welcome tea in the tea room. I only tried the Western breakfast, but I thought it was very tasty!
