GGuest UserA perfect experience, 10/10! The room was incredibly spacious, and the bathroom was top-notch with a huge bathtub that instantly melted away travel fatigue. The custom mattress was super comfortable. The room's amenities and attention to detail rivaled those of a high-end hotel, and every corner was spotless. The unlimited shuttle service to and from the ancient town was incredibly convenient. The freshly cooked rice noodles for breakfast were delicious, and they even delivered fresh milk before bed. The guesthouse faces a beautiful rural landscape, and waking up to the sound of the wind and views of the fields created an amazing atmosphere – every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. I couldn't find a single fault with the service, facilities, or environment. This is definitely my first choice for accommodation in Shaxi, and I'll absolutely stay here again next time!

Room & Facilities
The house is very clean and well maintained — everything feels new and well cared for. My room was cozy and comfortable, and the bed was especially nice, which helped me rest well. One thing I really appreciated was that the room even had a washing machine, which is a big plus for longer trips.
The garden is also lovely and adds to the calm, relaxed atmosphere of the place.
Breakfast & Thoughtful Touches
Breakfast was prepared by the owner, and the 米线 (mixian) was honestly the best I had during my entire Yunnan trip — comforting, well-balanced, and made with care. Before bedtime, the owner even brought us a warm glass of milk 🥛, which was such a thoughtful and heart-warming gesture.
Location & Morning Mist at 玉津桥
One important thing to note for travelers who plan to catch the morning mist or sunrise at 玉津桥: the homestay does not provide early-morning transfer services, only after 9:00am. The homestay is about 1.5km from 玉津桥, so it’s important to arrange your own transport in advance (for example, 小黄车).
I learned this a bit late — at around 7:30am — and almost missed the sunrise timing. Walking there in the early morning was very cold and takes about 30minutes for 1.5km. Luckily, I after walked for a while I met a very kind local let’s call him “小白车师傅” who had just dropped his child at school near the homestay. He generously gave me a free ride to the bridge. Thanks to him, I managed to make it in time.
Minor Miscommunication
At check-in, I was told there would be unlimited transfers to Shaxi Ancient Town, so I assumed that an early drop-off closer to the town (and then walking to the bridge) might be possible. However, in the morning, the owner needed to stay back to prepare breakfast and couldn’t leave. This was a small miscommunication, and it would be helpful if early-morning transport limitations were clarified more clearly in advance.
Overall Impression
Other than this minor issue, my stay at 沙溪归尘 was truly pleasant. The cleanliness, comfort, homemade breakfast, and thoughtful details made it a very warm and memorable experience. I would still happily recommend this homestay and would consider staying again — just with early transport planned ahead next time.

We discovered a charming new homestay in Shaxi, conveniently located within walking distance of Shaxi Ancient Town, the filming location for the drama series ”Meet Yourself 去有风的地方.” During our visit, we noticed many tourists capturing photos at the various shooting locations, adding a lively atmosphere to the area. Unlike Dali Ancient Town, Shaxi feels less commercialized, which enhances its authentic charm.
One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying a marvelous mushroom hotpot at Tea Horse Road; it was definitely worth every penny. The flavors were exquisite, and the experience was truly memorable.
Our room was clean and well-equipped with modern bathroom amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, one minor discomfort was that the toilet did not have a door, which might be a consideration for some guests.
The owner of the homestay was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They brewed a delightful welcome tea for us and provided hot milk, which was a lovely touch. Additionally, they assisted us in arranging transportation from Shaxi to Lijiang, making our travel plans much easier. Overall, our experience at the homestay was enjoyable, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and authentic stay in Shaxi.

GGuest Userthis stay was the highlight among the others in my Yunnan trip. the couple running this place is incredibly hospitable and kind despite the language barrier and communicating via translation apps. from my first interaction with the wife, I could sense the care she has for guests. she promptly noted my dietary requirement for Halal breakfast when checking in and provided very delicious, generous, and homely dishes on both mornings. at the same time, she made sure to sincerely apologize for some temporary construction noise in the building next to theirs (and informing me that it stops before evening) as well as offering me to take one of their electric bikes to explore the town. the husband was equally kind as a host: he provided me information about the new year's celebrations in town, arranged the electric bike for me to explore Shaxi when I asked and also made a tasty serving of coffee at breakfast. another highlight was witnessing the infectiously fun energy their little sons bring to the place during breakfast and although I only got the see them resting in their cage, there are also two cute cats living with them. overall, I had an absolutely pleasant stay here with top-notch facilities (heated toilet seat!), beautiful decor, and superb hosts!

GGuest UserMy stay at Banxi Mingyue Garden Resort B&B far exceeded my expectations! First, let's talk about cleanliness. The room was spotless, the bedding was crisp, white, soft, and had a subtle, fresh scent, making for a very comfortable stay. The environment was incredible; the B&B has its own small garden where you can smell the flowers at night and even see the stars – so peaceful and romantic. The service was also exceptionally thoughtful. The front desk staff were gentle and patient, proactively upgrading us to a room with a better view and even providing welcome fruits and a complimentary sweet soup in the evening. As for facilities, the underfloor heating throughout the entire property was incredibly comfortable, the white goose down duvet was light yet warm, and the toiletries were a branded set – attention to detail was perfect. The 'Sunshine King Room' had excellent natural light, and waking up to the sun was truly therapeutic. This trip became even more memorable because of this B&B. I will definitely come back again and recommend it to my friends!

✅【Environment】It's a typical Bai-style courtyard house that's been renovated. The wooden structure preserves the charm of the old house while also offering modern comfort. The marguerites in the courtyard are in full bloom, making for fantastic photos. The tables and chairs in the common area are thoughtfully arranged, perfect for soaking up the sun and relaxing.
✅【Facilities】The room is clean and tidy. The lounge chair on the terrace is a brilliant touch, offering excellent natural light and views. Toiletries are comprehensive, making for a very comfortable stay.
✅【Service & Food】The owner and staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. The breakfast rice noodles are super generous in portion, with plenty of fried eggs, peanuts, and side dishes. The broth is fresh and fragrant – eating this will keep you energized all day long.
✅【Location】It's not far from the core area of the ancient town, within walking distance, yet it avoids the hustle and bustle. It's quiet and convenient.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Shaxi!

SsdfgvvvAs a frequent traveler, Changle Li Guesthouse felt wonderfully warm, natural, and poetic. The classical decor and comprehensive facilities created a perfect ambiance. I drifted off to sleep under a canopy of stars and woke up to the soothing chirping of insects. The breakfast was uniquely delightful, and the service was exceptionally thoughtful. Behind the guesthouse, Kuidou Teahouse is a protected cultural heritage site, where one can burn incense, savor tea, and even practice calligraphy. I'll definitely be staying for a month next time!

GGuest UserYou gotta love the owners. They are very kind and helpful. They reply to chats immediately and they booked a ride for me to Lijiang. That alone is a savior for me because I don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese and during the ride my goggle map and Amap are showing the wrong hotel in Lijiang, it could have been a disaster without their help and I don't know why the owner of the hotel in Lijiang was already waiting near the road for me, so I really appreciate them for that, service beyond. The place is also a gem! I went there in January so it was cold and the room was well equipped. Mattress heater, room heater, humidifier, warm toilet seat, warm water, seriously it was a gem and I have to include how it retained the remnants of its past design so beautiful. I also fell in love with Shaxi and I plan to return to Shaxi in the near future. I regret not staying longer in this place. It is highly recommended and perfect for solo travelers and lost people because this place is warm.

GGuest UserFor this staycation, I went to The Linden Centre and even got to stay in the room featured in the movie 'Have a Nice Day'. It was incredibly relaxing.
The hotel is located within the Shibao Mountain Scenic Area, opposite Shilong Village. It's rustic and quiet, with minimal light pollution, so at night you can look up and see a sky full of stars. During the day, you can participate in various hotel activities, so there's never a dull moment. It's also very convenient to ask the hotel to arrange a car if you want to visit the nearby Jianchuan Ancient Town.
The rooms have underfloor heating, so there's no air conditioning noise, and they even provide power banks. You can order food from the restaurant and have it delivered to your room, and everything tastes great. I particularly recommend the passion fruit fish and the yellow braised chicken – delicious!
The service was just right – attentive without being intrusive. One thing I really appreciated is that most of the staff at the front desk are women, such as Dongmei, Xiao Meng, Hailey, and another short-haired woman whose name I didn't catch. Their attentiveness made me feel very secure and well cared for.
I was wonderfully looked after this holiday and I'm already looking forward to visiting again in the rainy season to forage for mushrooms!

Upon arrival, the owners warmly greeted us at the gate. The family acted like old friends, inviting us for tea and sharing local stories and activities. [They even invited us to a local wedding banquet that evening]. This feeling of being with family and friends is something standard hotels can never provide.
🏡 Unique and tasteful decor
The decor was very distinctive and tasteful. The rooms featured antique items and handmade decorations, with thoughtful details everywhere. My room had a view of the countryside, which I absolutely loved. It was also incredibly quiet at night, and I slept very well.
🌾 Immersed in idyllic rural scenery
The guesthouse's location was truly exceptional! Every window offered a picturesque rural landscape. Occasionally, a small dog would run across the paddy fields, or a farmer would pass by—it was incredibly peaceful. There was no urban hustle and bustle here, only the sounds of nature breathing; it truly realized the ”life I longed for.” 💝 Delightful Details The owner recommended a fantastic route for us to see the morning mist, and we even borrowed their electric scooter. They charged it overnight and tidied it up early the next morning – their thoughtfulness was evident. We also received a small gift before leaving, which was incredibly touching!
Highly recommend this warm, scenic, and relaxing place. It was an unforgettable and heartwarming experience. Highly recommended!
