"The property is located very near to the tourist center and just inside the ancient town. The property owner is very responsive and helpful. When our rides from Dali wrongly dropped us at the north gate, he promptly came over and helped bring our luggage all the way to the south side. He even helped us book a ride to Lijiang. Overall, I'm impressed with the stay and services provided by this Inn."

"The city is too noisy, which makes a place like this even more necessary—a sanctuary for the soul to breathe. My first impression of this guesthouse was its 'serenity.' The plants in the courtyard swayed gently in the breeze, and the light and shadow dappled across the stone steps, as if completely cut off from the outside world's hustle and bustle. Stepping into the room, the warmth of the natural wood, the softness of the sofa, and the cozy glow of the lights instantly enveloped me. What I loved most was the large glass window. During the day, you could watch the clouds drift by, and in the evening, enjoy the gentle twilight. Sipping a cup of tea, sitting by the window or on the balcony, gazing at the distant mountain silhouettes and the nearby eaves, your heart slowly finds peace. Every detail here speaks of comfort and thoughtfulness—a spotless vanity, neatly arranged slippers, a soft bed… It's not just a place to sleep; it’s more like a haven where your mind and body can find peace. If you're yearning for a slower pace of life, this place would be your ideal choice."

"I had a very pleasant stay at 沙溪归尘 and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Shaxi who is looking for a clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully run homestay. Room & Facilities The house is very clean and well maintained — everything feels new and well cared for. My room was cozy and comfortable, and the bed was especially nice, which helped me rest well. One thing I really appreciated was that the room even had a washing machine, which is a big plus for longer trips. The garden is also lovely and adds to the calm, relaxed atmosphere of the place. Breakfast & Thoughtful Touches Breakfast was prepared by the owner, and the 米线 (mixian) was honestly the best I had during my entire Yunnan trip — comforting, well-balanced, and made with care. Before bedtime, the owner even brought us a warm glass of milk 🥛, which was such a thoughtful and heart-warming gesture. Location & Morning Mist at 玉津桥 One important thing to note for travelers who plan to catch the morning mist or sunrise at 玉津桥: the homestay does not provide early-morning transfer services, only after 9:00am. The homestay is about 1.5km from 玉津桥, so it’s important to arrange your own transport in advance (for example, 小黄车). I learned this a bit late — at around 7:30am — and almost missed the sunrise timing. Walking there in the early morning was very cold and takes about 30minutes for 1.5km. Luckily, I after walked for a while I met a very kind local let’s call him “小白车师傅” who had just dropped his child at school near the homestay. He generously gave me a free ride to the bridge. Thanks to him, I managed to make it in time. Minor Miscommunication At check-in, I was told there would be unlimited transfers to Shaxi Ancient Town, so I assumed that an early drop-off closer to the town (and then walking to the bridge) might be possible. However, in the morning, the owner needed to stay back to prepare breakfast and couldn’t leave. This was a small miscommunication, and it would be helpful if early-morning transport limitations were clarified more clearly in advance. Overall Impression Other than this minor issue, my stay at 沙溪归尘 was truly pleasant. The cleanliness, comfort, homemade breakfast, and thoughtful details made it a very warm and memorable experience. I would still happily recommend this homestay and would consider staying again — just with early transport planned ahead next time."

"This courtyard is incredibly cozy, and the common areas are equally comfortable. During the day, I loved sitting in the courtyard, watching the fish, and enjoying the breeze – it was so relaxing. On our first day, my wife had gastroenteritis and needed an IV in Jianchuan. The front desk attendant waited up for us until 2 AM, worried about our return. She even arranged for her husband to stay awake, ready to pick us up at any time. They were absolutely wonderful! We're so grateful! A well-deserved five-star rating! I hope we get a chance to visit again!"

"This was my second visit to Shaxi, and I didn't hesitate to choose Chuxiu Yunxin again. Even after a long time, my fondness for this place has only grown. The guesthouse is located right by the ancient town, offering a tranquil escape amidst the hustle and bustle. It beautifully blends traditional Bai ethnic residences with minimalist wood designs. The courtyard tea room and rattan chairs all exude a relaxed vibe. The morning mist and evening breeze are a balm for all urban fatigue. It's just a few minutes' walk to the core area of the ancient town or Yujin Bridge. After exploring the town, you can retreat to the courtyard to unwind – it's the perfect balance of activity and relaxation. The room details are still excellent, with smart home controls throughout, and the bedding is soft and skin-friendly. Everything is kept very clean, ensuring a sweet night's sleep. The owner is also incredibly friendly; they even remembered my preferences from my last visit! They thoughtfully helped plan my itinerary, recommended local off-the-beaten-path routes, provided transportation, and assisted with luggage storage. Our chats over tea were very comfortable. Full marks, highly recommend. I'll definitely be back."

"The small courtyard hidden in the sand stream mountains, the scenery is really amazing! The terrace faces the continuous green mountains, and the scenery is gentle and healing at dusk. The yard is very exquisitely maintained, with rockery and old pottery plants full of atmosphere. The rooms are clean and refreshing and well equipped. Away from the hustle and bustle, quiet and comfortable, slowly feel the fireworks and mountains of Shaxi, the proprietress is very good, drive to pick us up and help us with our luggage. It’s too suitable to relax on vacation, and I will come to her house next time."
