"The courtyard is absolutely beautiful! My sister recommended this place, and it truly is stunning. It's even more delightful in person, and the room was spotlessly clean with all the necessary disposables. My friend and I didn't bring much, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the toiletries were from well-known brands, making us feel very comfortable and at ease. In the mornings, some tourists would take photos by the courtyard entrance, but the owner would politely ask them to keep their voices down so as not to disturb our rest. We even locked ourselves out late at night, and the owner, being incredibly kind, came out to help us open the door. Honestly, it's just a fantastic place, I loved it and will definitely be back!"

"This guesthouse has a story to tell. There's a 530-year-old ancient tree right by the entrance, home to a family of squirrels. As soon as I entered the room, I found a pair of chestnut-dyed cloth squirrels placed on the bed. Lying on the third-floor bed, the old tree glowed with life under the setting sun. The indigo-dyed soft couch on the terrace made me fall in love with Yunnan's sunshine, and the abundant flowers and plants everywhere showed the owner's passion for life. The guesthouse manager and the young lady's tea and dishes were unforgettable; that elegant, down-to-earth charm makes me want to return to this place again and again."

"Senxi is truly the most detail-oriented guesthouse I've ever stayed at in Shaxi. The disposable amenities provided are also top-notch, with all the toiletries from Le Labo. I stayed for eight nights in the 'Xunyi' room on the second floor, which has its own private small balcony. The staff, all lovely women, provided excellent service. Laundry and cleaning were always timely, and my clothes came back soft every day after drying. The guesthouse's own restaurant is also fantastic. Breakfast offers a rotating selection of Chinese and Western dishes daily. Lunch and dinner can be reserved 12 hours in advance, and every dish I tried was fresh and delicious. Even though there was some noise during the day due to government roadwork right outside, it didn't affect my sleep at night. As someone who struggles with insomnia in the city, I got some truly good rest here. Its location on the edge of the ancient town was perfect for me, traveling alone with a lot of luggage. I hope to come back again."

"This guesthouse truly lives up to its name, 'Absolute Art,' and is undoubtedly a masterpiece created by cultural figures and artists. It beautifully blends rich local ethnic charm with a distinctive artistic aesthetic. From the public areas to the rooms, downstairs to upstairs, and from every wall, door, and window to each stair, table, chair, tree, flower, and blade of grass, everything is a vibrant, meticulously arranged picture. It's no wonder it's become a popular photo spot in Shaxi. However, since it's a renovation of an old house, the bathroom is a bit small, and some facilities are lacking. Also, during the peak Chinese New Year period, driving in and out and parking were a bit challenging, and unfortunately, we had to pay for parking. The hotel staff, though seemingly few, were all very enthusiastic. They guided our car from outside the village into town and helped us find a parking spot, gave detailed instructions on using the various room facilities, and assisted with luggage during pick-up and drop-off. Coupled with its excellent location in the heart of the ancient town, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and dining, this is definitely the top accommodation choice in Shaxi Ancient Town!"

"Location: Couldn't be better, right in the heart of the ancient town, tucked away in an alley next to the opera stage. It's incredibly quiet, yet you're in the bustling area within half a minute of stepping out. Cleanliness: Pretty clean. The ladies cleaning are all very proactive and efficient 😀. Ambiance: Right now, in early March, the plum blossoms are out. I heard that in May, the wisteria and silk floss trees in the courtyard will be absolutely stunning when they bloom, and the flowering season lasts about a month. Friends who are interested should definitely visit then. Service: Absolutely outstanding, it completely exceeded my expectations. The concierge, Paopao, was incredibly helpful. He assisted with luggage both at check-in and check-out and was basically at my beck and call, handling every single request 😁😁😁. He really understands guests' needs. For example, he gave me a bamboo basket for the market (which I initially found strange, but it totally proved its worth!), and he even took me and other guesthouse friends to catch fish with a net (he managed everything with his incredible connections!). Everything was arranged so thoughtfully and thoroughly – what a treasure! He's the pillar of this place! 🤭 Food: The breakfast presentation was beautiful, and it tasted delicious. The portions were just right, and the dining environment was superb. I've already recommended it to my friends!"
