5-Star Hotels in Jiangmen

One of my German clients stayed at Wanda Realm Heshan and insisted that I help forward his five-star review to the hotel. Here is his review: ”Die Übernachtung im Wanda Realm Heshan war fantastisch! Das Hotel ist modern, sauber und mit liebevollen Details eingerichtet. Das Personal war extrem freundlich, hilfsbereit und sprach hervorragend Englisch – meine Fragen wurden immer umgehend beantwortet. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig mit internationalen und lokalen Speisen, alles frisch und lecker. Das Zimmer war geräumig, das Bett sehr bequem und die Aussicht toll. Eine tolle Wahl für Geschäftsreisen oder Urlaub – ich empfehle es wärmstens weiter!”

Despite experiencing some night noise during my stay, the hotel staff were highly responsive and took my concerns seriously. They were proactive in discussing and offering a reasonable solution, demonstrating an excellent service attitude. The compensation package was quite generous, and the issue was ultimately resolved to my satisfaction. The hotel building itself has a unique charm, and the ancient town setting is beautiful. Overall, the experience was still decent.

This is my second time visiting Chikan Ancient Town. My last visit was a bit rushed and I didn't get to fully enjoy it. This time, I came specifically for the International Friends Circus Parade and the dance drama 'The Grandmaster' during the National Day holiday. Although this hotel was the most expensive option, the service was truly excellent. The price also included two-day admission tickets and performance tickets, plus a Dāng Dāng tram ticket. The hotel is located in a bustling area yet is pleasantly quiet and peaceful. It has a restaurant and a swimming pool, and a shuttle bus service takes you to and from a dedicated parking lot just outside the scenic area, on demand. I heard from the shuttle driver that this hotel belongs to the same company as the San Francisco Hotel, and both are very good. The Meitang Hotel is larger and filled with Nanyang-style design. The hotel amenities are all excellent and new, feeling both vintage and high-quality. The price increase for the two days after National Day wasn't too much, and the experience was genuinely good. I give it five stars. The only minor point is that the swimming pool is a bit small, and it closes at 7 PM. I imagine most tourists would prefer to explore the town during the day and swim in the evening.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, perched on the tip of the island with river views on both sides. It's incredibly pleasant for a run below. The room facilities are good, as expected from a well-established five-star hotel. The dining options are excellent too, with a wide variety of dishes, great value for money, and delicious food. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

The room was quite spacious and clean, and the surrounding environment was lovely. Breakfast was also excellent! The Chinese restaurant downstairs served really good food, with many locals dining there. Since we were there for the Mid-Autumn Festival, the hotel even prepared mooncakes, which was a thoughtful touch. The lady from the Guest Relations Department also specially delivered a gift – thumbs up! A fantastic resort! Highly recommended!

I've been here four times in recent years, and I used to really like it. It was a great place to relax and bring the kids. This year, I was a bit disappointed. First, the facilities are quite old and look rundown. Many of the arcade games on the second floor didn't work and ate my coins. The billiards table on the balcony was also unavailable, and there was only one anyway. Second, there were far fewer children's play facilities. They used to have a bubble machine, but it wasn't there this time. The outdoor swimming pool closed at 6 PM, and the water quality wasn't good. My child and I both broke out in small rashes the next day. Finally, the service attitude was poor. The lifeguards were unfriendly and kept scolding people. There was also someone in the gym, not wearing a uniform, who was bossing people around (likely just working out himself), telling us not to touch this or that. While the front desk and other staff were friendly, given the price and the condition of the facilities, it really isn't worth it.

This time, I chose to stay at Jinxu Hotel inside Chikan Ancient Town, hoping for an immersive experience of the ancient town. However, the overall experience was quite disappointing, with many things to complain about regarding both the hotel service and the scenic area itself. To be fair, the hotel's location is indeed a strong point—being right inside the scenic area makes getting around the ancient town very convenient. Unfortunately, the room amenities and services fail to keep up. The room telephone went unanswered despite multiple attempts, making it very difficult to reach the hotel staff in a timely manner when issues arose. The toiletries provided in the room were of extremely poor quality, especially the comb, which broke the moment I tried to use it. When we contacted the staff to request a replacement, we were told we would have to wait a long time. In the end, we checked out without ever receiving the replacement comb. The issue was never resolved, making for a terrible experience with the toiletries. As for Chikan Ancient Town itself, the architecture features distinct Republic-era arcade-style buildings, but the family-friendly experience leaves much to be desired. Most of the town's performances are geared towards adults, with almost no shows suitable for children to watch or participate in. If you are traveling with kids, it's hard to find activities appropriate for them. Furthermore, many exhibition halls and attraction points in the ancient town were either tightly shut and closed to the public or completely empty inside. In the electricity-themed exhibition area, many interactive devices were broken and out of order. The actual content available for exploration was far less than expected, and in many places, visitors can only do a quick, superficial walkthrough, which greatly detracts from the overall visitor experience. Overall, while the ancient town has a great architectural atmosphere, the hotel's hardware, service responsiveness, and the scenic area's attractions all have obvious shortcomings. Families traveling with children should think twice before booking.

Environment: This place is truly stunning. The lobby is grand and impressive, and the entire resort grounds give off a very relaxing and comfortable vibe. It's a great spot for a vacation—soaking in the hot springs, letting the kids play in the water, feeding the cute little animals, and enjoying the water park are all amazing experiences. Service: The front desk service was exceptional and very attentive. They clearly explained every detail and schedule, which kept us completely informed and prevented any confusion—that was fantastic. The staff who delivered items to our room were also very polite and thoughtful. Facilities: This place has evolved quite a bit since my last visit, with many new recreational facilities added, such as rafting, a water park, an animal petting area, and the 'Wild Man' Cafe! Cleanliness: My room was very cozy and meticulously cleaned. As soon as the kids arrived, they headed straight out to the balcony's private tub to soak in the hot springs.
