GGuest UserVisited Chikan during the May Day holiday and chose this hotel at the Guangdong Overseas Chinese International Tourist Resort. It's not far from the scenic area, offers great value for money, and the service and hygiene are excellent. Plus, the underground parking has EV charging spots, which is super convenient for electric car owners! Highly recommend!

GGuest UserIt was a little confusing where the front desk was at first, as I wasn’t able to locate the hotel name anywhere in the building. I guess there was some sort of agreement made with the front desk on the 15th floor (under a different hotel name), as they were able to check me in. Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfy, and location was great - right next to a giant mall with many restaurants and arcades inside. Though I ran into a sketchy looking man in the elevator who didn’t seem to have a fob? And they just followed me off when it was my floor. It was concerning and I didn’t see any security guards in the building during my stay.

JJessie_QiuThe hot spring area is definitely a highlight! 👍 The water quality is crystal clear and feels very clean. The pools here are also quite large, and there's even a hot spring swimming pool. It's so pleasant and comfortable to swim in the warm hot spring pool when the weather is cold. The staff also frequently offer guests ginger tea. We also enjoyed camping at the Scarecrow Camp, where we had tea by the stove and made mud-baked chicken, which tasted really good. The only downside is that the room decor is a bit dated.

Mr. Wang at the front desk, in particular, had a genuine smile, was enthusiastic, knew the procedures well, and was very efficient, completing my check-in in just two or three minutes. Thumbs up for him! 👍👍👍 However, an incident occurred that negatively impacted my stay. Here's what happened: Knowing that it would be crowded during the Qingming Festival, I called the hotel's main reception around 6 PM on the 4th and was transferred to the Western restaurant to book a buffet for the evening of the 5th. The lady who answered was very friendly. She asked for my phone number and surname in detail and even kindly reminded me that it might be busy tomorrow and that it would be best to come early. But on Qingming night, when I went for dinner, the server on duty couldn't find my reservation. This was the first time I'd encountered such a situation, and I was a bit caught off guard. Luckily, it wasn't too crowded that night, and there were empty tables, so my family was able to dine without an issue. Regarding this, I feel that the server's mistake was quite significant. 👎👎👎 3. The room was spacious and had been renovated, making it stylish, refined, and tidy. The bathroom was large enough, especially the shower and toilet areas, which were roomy and didn't feel cramped. 4. The hotel's back garden is beautiful, with lush green trees, blooming flowers, and small bridges over streams. Strolling through it after breakfast and dinner, under the morning sun or the starlight, was a delightful experience.
