GGuest UserI came to Wuhan for Chinese New Year and stayed at the Qingshan New Century Hotel because my friend lives nearby. It seems like a new hotel, and all the facilities are excellent. The breakfast was also very rich, and the staff were all incredibly friendly. My only complaint is the open-plan bathroom, which I really didn't like, but that's a design issue. The hotel service was fantastic, and they even offered a shuttle service to Wuhan Station, which was a pleasant surprise.

HHutouhunaoThe room is very big, and it's very quiet at night. When you get up in the morning, you can go for a run around the courtyard. The manager Jason also gave me fruits. The environment is also very nice, and the breakfast is rich.

GGuest UserFirst, the pros: The natural scenery at this hotel is absolutely breathtaking, making even the West Lake State Guest House seem modest in comparison. The boardwalks throughout the hotel are also beautifully maintained. If you're looking for peace and quiet, there's no need to visit the East Lake Scenic Area nearby – this place *is* the scenic area.
While staying at the hotel, you can also visit Mao Zedong's former residence. There's a restaurant next to the residence with an impeccable dining environment, which I unfortunately only discovered upon checking out.
The hotel's east gate has a bus terminal where you can catch a bus to the museum, Yellow Crane Tower, and Tanhualin. It’s a great way to enjoy the city views while traveling. There are also many restaurants nearby.
Now for the cons: The facilities are a bit dated. The outlets in the room are very loose; I could only charge my devices in the bathroom. Also, there are so many mirrors that it constantly created visual illusions.
There's no elevator access to the rooms for breakfast, so I had to climb stairs every time.
Despite these points, I still highly recommend this hotel and hope for improvements.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers great value for money. It's conveniently located near the Hubei Science and Technology Museum and Grandjoy City, with easy access to transportation. The rooms are spacious, and the overall environment is pleasant. The breakfast is quite delicious. The housekeeping staff, front desk, and restaurant employees all provide excellent and prompt service. My children really enjoyed their stay here. They even provided complimentary tickets for the Optics Valley Maglev train.

GGuest UserVery near Hongshan station, but exit D has no escalator; use exit E across the road. Room was of good size and clean. But our room was on a low level, with no view and facing the tennis court. Cars like to honk there, people noise and honking all day until about 10pm. A ‘5 star’ rating hotel with no customer service, door person just stood there not rendering help with luggage even it was 2 girls struggling with their luggage. Checking was slow, noisy, people cutting queue, the person who tried to check us in, did not know how to handle foreign passport so we had to wait twice to be served. Did not get into the room until after 3pm. Luggage storage was messy, didn’t not have a system, the old man asked for a China mobile number? In the end he just scribbled down our names on a piece of random paper, I had to take a photo of it just to be sure. From personal experience, this hotel is not foreign tourist friendly, there was a lot of workshops and conferences going on when we were there. There is nothing in the surrounding precinct. The only thing close is Hongshan Square station. Average breakfast and the pool and the gymnasium were located across the road from the hotel.

GGuest UserThe bedding in the room was perfectly firm and incredibly comfortable for sleeping. The bathroom's wet and dry separation design was well-thought-out, and all the facilities were comprehensive. Karina's service attitude was excellent; she responded and resolved any requests promptly. We were extremely satisfied!

GGuest UserThis hotel is truly fantastic! Even though I arrived early, well before check-in time, the front desk allowed me to check in right away. The front desk staff provided excellent and swift service, and they also informed me about some of the hotel's additional services. The room was comfortable and clean, with all the facilities and amenities well-equipped. The airport transfer service was also great; perhaps because it's Chinese New Year's Eve, the boss himself drove us to the airport in a Mercedes-Benz!

Very Good
JJC101NI recently stayed at this hotel between 29 April to 2 May 2025.
Check-In Experience
Upon arrival, there was a noticeable queue at the lobby. The solo staff member did not promptly call for assistance, leading to guest dissatisfaction when a second line was eventually opened.
Room Condition
The initial room had a musky sandalwood-like odor, possibly from previous guests using spa amenities or smoking. I was offered two alternative rooms and chose the first one, but the smell persisted, likely due to the central air conditioning. The manager on duty provided fruits and snacks as a gesture of goodwill.
Air Conditioning
Both my friend and I found the air conditioning insufficiently cool, waking up sweaty during the night.
Elevator System & Security
The hotel employs a two-lift system: one from the ground floor to the 23rd-floor lobby, and another from there to the guest rooms. This setup raises security concerns. For instance, I encountered a man lingering in the lift without a key card, which was unsettling.
Food Delivery Process
The food delivery process is inconvenient. Deliveries are left on a table at a remote corner of the ground floor, requiring guests to navigate the two-lift system to retrieve their orders.
Laundry Service
On a positive note, the hotel offers a reliable laundry service with same-day pickup if requested before 5:30 PM, which is convenient for travelers packing light.
Overall Impression
While the hotel has commendable services, improvements in staff communication, room air quality, security measures, and food delivery logistics would enhance the guest experience.

ZZeijiushidalianrenThe hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable. It's situated right on Yanjiang Avenue, directly across from a huge riverside park. You can step downstairs and immediately enjoy views of the Yangtze River, cherry blossoms, and the night cruise boats – no need to go anywhere else. Right next to the hotel are the Soong Ching Ling Former Residence and the Wuhan Municipal Government building. Behind it is the Wuhan Women's Federation, and the famous Bagong House is a short walk away. It's quite luxurious and grand.
The hotel's swimming pool and amenities are all excellent and fully equipped.
However, I generally wouldn't recommend the hotel breakfast. There isn't much to choose from; it's probably the worst breakfast I've had at a five-star hotel.
If you have the option, definitely stay in an executive suite. You can enjoy river views right from your bed, and the toiletries are all brand-name products.
For food delivery, you'll need to go downstairs to pick it up yourself. The hotel can deliver it to your room, but it's slow.
