"I usually like to save the best for last when writing, but for reviews, I'll cut straight to the chase.
We booked an Executive Suite primarily for the Executive Lounge access, but the lounge experience was so disappointing that we checked out after just one night. The room itself, however, was great.
Executive Lounge Happy Hour:
We arrived at six, and it was already packed. There was barely any food left. Since it was the Winter Solstice on Saturday, they had dumplings. No desserts, and the cold selection just had sandwiches and sushi. Some dishes were empty. We found a spot, and just as we were finishing up, another guest placed a dirty plate next to us. The whole lounge was so noisy; we left after less than half an hour. Compared to executive lounges at other hotels, this one was truly subpar. The last three pictures show some of the dishes from the executive lounge.
Facilities: The Executive Suite on the 19th floor was very spacious at 98 square meters, with two bathrooms. The living room had a sofa and a round table, and the bedroom was also large. The bathroom was equipped with mouthwash, and the living room had a capsule coffee machine, all very good. The view outside was also excellent.
Ambiance: The lobby was spacious and featured some old photos of Wuhan.
Service: The service was very good. The front desk staff specifically put the explanation of the executive floor benefits into an envelope for us.
Breakfast: The Executive Lounge doesn't offer breakfast, so we had to go to the restaurant on the second floor. However, the breakfast selection was quite extensive. The freshly made Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) was delicious. There were plenty of choices for desserts, fruits, drinks, and main courses, and enough seating at the tables.
However, the hotel was very slow to refund the deposit. We checked out on Saturday morning around 10 AM, but didn't receive the deposit until Sunday morning around 9 AM.
Overall, it's still a pretty good hotel; I'm just quite disappointed with the Executive Lounge. If I book again, I'll just opt for a standard room."
