5-Star Hotels in Xinzhou

When I was choosing accommodation in Wutai Mountain, this place immediately caught my eye. The service was truly exceptional. Whether it was the butler or other staff members, everyone was incredibly enthusiastic. Any questions or requests were always addressed and resolved promptly. The hotel environment is also very good. There are activities on the first floor that you can participate in, and the second floor even has a singing bowl space, which creates a very peaceful atmosphere. We stayed in the 'Red Rattan Cane' room type, which offered a very expansive view. A fruit platter was delivered to our room every day, but it would be even better if the fruit selection were more carefully chosen – on the second day, the strawberries in the platter had mold on them 😧. Breakfast was a semi-buffet. While the variety wasn't extensive, the taste felt very home-style, and the Wutai Mushroom and Pork Pancake was delicious! 🤤 During our three days in Wutai Mountain, we basically had all our meals at the hotel. The preserved egg and tofu was delicious and very unique. The meatball soup is perfect for those who prefer lighter flavors. Among the two hot pot options, I'd recommend the 'Special Warm Pot' more. In contrast, the 'Wutai Mushroom and Chicken Soup Hot Pot' mostly contained chicken bones, which was a bit disappointing 🤦‍♀️.

Staying at this guesthouse on this trip was such a pleasant surprise, I absolutely have to recommend it! The location is great – quiet yet convenient for getting around, and the surrounding area is really pleasant. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the cozy atmosphere. The decor is simple but stylish, with thoughtful touches everywhere, making it very photogenic. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the bathroom fresh and odorless with a full set of toiletries, making for a truly relaxing stay. The host was warm and attentive, sending detailed check-in instructions in advance, responding quickly to any questions, and patiently recommending local delicacies and sightseeing routes, which made us feel very welcome. The common areas were clean and elegant, and the whole place was quiet and peaceful, ensuring a great night's sleep. It offers excellent value for money, perfect for a trip with friends or a family getaway. It truly felt like a relaxing 'home away from home.' I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

This hotel offers a semi-luxury experience at the price of a three or four-star hotel – it's absolutely fantastic value for money! 1. The facilities are incredibly grand. They've built a whole city from scratch, and it's quite impressive. The red and green color scheme reflects Shanxi folk customs; it might seem a bit rustic at first glance, but it actually grows on you. 2. The room is huge, with a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom, and a courtyard. The courtyard has a glass roof and a bathtub, and the functional areas are well-designed with good attention to decorative details. 3. The service was much better than expected. While it's not the uniform, standardized service you'd find in a chain hotel, the staff's enthusiasm is evident, and they handle service details very well. 4. I'm really looking forward to their official opening once the public areas are fully completed.

This is my third stay at Qixiange Hotel. The first time I stayed there, I was amazed by the incredibly high ceilings in the rooms; it was truly magnificent. However, this time I was rather disappointed. My room had Wi-Fi in both adjacent rooms, but mine didn't, so I had to ”steal” the neighbor's Wi-Fi signal. Calling the staff didn't help. When filling the bathtub with hot water, the flow was extremely weak, taking half an hour to fill (and even then, it wasn't very hot). At the hotel restaurant on the first floor, a small bowl of rice cost 10 yuan, and they wouldn't refund any extra… It felt like the facilities and service didn't justify the 1680 yuan room rate during the National Day holiday peak season. These are minor details, but guests come from afar; isn't attracting guests through attention to detail in hotel operations and service?

When I visited Mount Wutai, I was torn between booking the Marriott or a guesthouse. My main concern was the Marriott's distance from the scenic area and potential inconvenience. However, I ultimately chose the Marriott for its reputation for excellent service. After checking in, all my worries disappeared! Every morning, there are three scheduled shuttle buses that go directly to the central scenic area. If you miss one, it's no problem at all; the hotel's electric car will take you to the Route 8 bus stop anytime. When you return, just call the hotel from the designated stop and they'll pick you up immediately. It was incredibly convenient and I was very satisfied. The food at the hotel restaurant was also delicious. All in all, it exceeded my expectations!
