GGuest UserMy stay at Futiandahua Rain Hot Spring Hotel was absolutely fantastic! First off, the location is superb, right inside the ancient city. It's super close to where they do the iron flower show, which, by the way, is an absolute must-see. I'm getting on in years, but watching that show brought tears to my eyes; I was so moved by the performers' dedication and the incredible spectacle they put on.
It's clear the hotel owner pays incredible attention to detail. My two girlfriends and I stayed in a triple room, and from the moment we walked into the lobby, we were gushing over the hotel's ambiance, the staff, and the room's decor. Every little detail was thoughtfully done. Even when we were heading out to explore the ancient city, the front desk proactively offered us a pack of tissues to take with us.
The room itself was a standalone unit, so it was incredibly quiet. They delivered coffee and afternoon tea daily, and the fruit plate in the room was fresh. There was also a cooler in the lobby with bottled water available for guests. The whole room was smart-enabled with XiaoDu (a smart assistant), and the shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area. Oh, one small thing: the trash can in the bathroom was a bit too small; I hope they can improve that.
The private hot spring was amazing. After a full day of sightseeing, coming back to soak in the hot spring and chat was just pure bliss.

LLongshengeA hidden house in the mountains, quiet in the bustle. The B&B is near Pu'an Temple, nearly one kilometer away from the drop-off point. After getting off the bus, I contacted the housekeeper, who immediately sent a car to pick us up at the B&B. Although the water conservancy facilities are being improved nearby, it is not noisy at all and very quiet. The room also has separate tea making tools, and the breakfast is relatively healthy and rich, which is worth recommending! !
GGuest UserThe boss is very good, stayed for about 20 days. The first time I lived in the room downstairs, I changed to the room upstairs when I lived. Especially warm, the boss is very good. My brother's feet were broken, but when I returned to Beijing, I was broken. Thanks to the boss's reminder, I must go to the hospital to check it. During the stay, the temples in the core scenic area of Wutai Mountain were almost all worshipped. When returning to the room, the boss will make up the water. It is very convenient to go to the core scenic area from the homestay. If there are Tibetans staying, it will be particularly lively.

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe room was cozy, and I loved the tatami-style decor. It was clean and hygienic. There was a beautiful welcome fruit. Breakfast was special oat noodles, which the kids loved. The inn also has a very cute little dog, who was very friendly. I took a walk in the nearby wild forest this morning; it was very peaceful. Mount Wutai itself is strangely bustling with people and cars, yet it never felt noisy. The inn is relatively secluded, but it's also conveniently located within walking distance of attractions. In the evening, there's a night market with a wide variety of affordable and quality goods, making for a great find.
LLydia.xuanThe owner was incredibly welcoming, and the hotel was spotlessly clean with a really cozy decor. They even have free parking, which was a huge plus. My family and I had a fantastic time here. The hotel also offers complimentary pick-up and drop-off services, which was very convenient. When we checked out, the owner even gave us some small gifts for our journey, which was such a thoughtful touch! I was in a hurry and forgot to take photos of the hotel itself, so I've just included some beautiful pictures of Mount Wutai instead.
GGuest UserI often come to Mount Wutai, and after seeing the recommendation from Ctrip, I booked a newly opened homestay: it is located in the most prosperous Yangbaiyu Service Area in the scenic area. The homestay is right there after you park your car nearby. The lighting on the first floor is a little blocked, but the second floor is bright and spacious, with antique decoration and exquisite details, much like the lay Buddhist building in a certain temple.
The room is decorated with solid wood, the linens are comfortable, it is a brand new room but has no smell, it has floor heating and is equipped with independent air conditioning, so you can control the temperature yourself. The boss, Xiao Dong, seems very down-to-earth. He recommends some routes, makes travel guides, and also provides tour guide services. However, since I come here so often, it is useless. The store offered tributes, and the boss personally took us to the Wuye Temple to burn incense. It was very good service, five stars for encouragement!
DDaisenhaisaierdetangmuFacilities: Average. I can't understand how this place made it onto a luxury hotel list, let alone ranking first. To give you an idea, the hardware quality is somewhere between a '某季' and a '某庭' (likely referring to budget/mid-range hotel chains). Plus, the soundproofing is poor, and the shower door has such a big gap that the entire bathroom floor gets soaked after a shower. The breakfast was okay, I guess, but considering it was mid-April, not a holiday, not Buddha's Birthday, not the 1st or 15th of the ***** month – basically a very ordinary day with some attractions closed – it's practically the off-season. For over 400 yuan, the breakfast standard is truly unacceptable.
Hygiene: Very good.
Environment: Great location. Lots of restaurants nearby and very convenient to take the free bus to attractions like Shuxiang Temple and Dai Luoding.
Service: I'll just mention the good part: a young man helped with my luggage after check-in. I'd rather not complain about anything else, so the hotel doesn't penalize its staff. Overall, the experience was terrible and the value for money is extremely low.
GGuest UserThe hotel makes a perfect 3-night stay for us. Perfect in every sense. The lady proprietor so efficiently and willingly planned the entire stay for us upon our arrival, booked (and paid on our behalf) the whole-day bus tour of all the 5 mountain sights, drove us to the starting bus depot, and even arrange our remaining private car routes to Pingyao, Taiyuan, Datong and Beijing. I absolutely recommend this place to stay, especially if you are foreigner and not familiar with Wutaishan, and all the logistics, you can be sure you will get all the help you need from this hotel, and your stay will be an enjoyable one.
KKutenglaoshuIt was my first time to go to Mount Wutai. I was a little confused after reading the guide. There were many problems with every hotel. I finally chose this one, thinking that it was at least relatively close.
The whole family was very satisfied with the result. The room was super spacious and there were many original crystal ornaments. The view was probably the best. The Big White Pagoda was under construction and the Small White Pagoda could be seen.
It is very convenient to park on Dailuoding and Dicos, and it is also very quiet at night.
The car entered Wutai Mountain but failed to make a reservation. We entered successfully under the guidance of the boss.
All in all, I am very satisfied and have recommended it to my friends. I will continue to stay at his house next time.
GGuest UserI went there over a month ago and am only now leaving a review. The owner was so kind! When I was leaving, I realized I'd forgotten my wallet at the hotel, and they'd kept it safe for me. When I went back to get it, they didn't charge me a penny and even gave me a bucket of vinegar! It was truly amazing! Most importantly, may the God of Wealth, all the gods, and Buddha bless me and let me get my money back! They really saved me. I'm so grateful!
