Sporthotel Kirchler
"During our alpine holidays, me and my friend stayed in 6 hotels and we both agreed hotel Kirchler was our favourite. Rooms are really spacious (bedroom, WC, restaurant, etc) and in every room family Kirchler took a great deal to details. Breakfast and dinner buffet always has a rich variety of choices; for one dinner event they also had a live-music. The staff is always friendly and a great mix between attentive and not-disturbing-guests. Only this year I have realized they have a spacious sauna area which is very clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated centrally at the town and the bus stop is just 20m away. A perfect location also."
Kinder- & Gletscherhotel Hintertuxerhof
"I spent a week with my family and it was a fantastic time. Everything is great; hotel, location, things to do if you are a kid or an adult and the staff is super friendly. I could not mention one thing to be changed; there are plenty of things to do in the hotel premises or nearby, in summer, winter, rainy or sunny day. It is definelty a place designed for families and a place to return."
Valara - Alpine Art Hotel
"Great location, just in the front of the Gletscher station. Super food. Renovated restaurant, bar and spa. Rooms partly renewed, but the older ones in great tyrolean style are bigger. Most rooms with the balconies with the Gletscher or valley view. Skiroom the the ground floor with boots heating and shelves dedicated for each room."
Das Alois 4 Sterne Superior
"I'm picky when it comes to ski hotels, but I struck gold here. Spacious rooms, excellent food, a cosy bar and superb spa combined to create a very relaxing stay. The staff are superb, and clearly the family owners are very hands on in maintaining the quality. The pools (because one pool is just not enough!) are big enough to actually get a decent swim in, and the outdoor one is every bit as magical as the photos suggest. My favourite element was the spa. Its the best I have come across, and I spent hours in there every day. It is very well thought out and spacious. My ski holiday turned into more of a spa trip with a bit of skiing attached. The ski lift is a five minute walk away, and you can ski back to within about 100 metres of the hotel. The ski hire shop is just across the road. The village is small and quite pretty, and very quiet, which is fine by me. For a banging night-life, stay in Mayrhofen! Thankyou to all the staff, we would love to return."
Thermal-Badhotel Kirchler
"Our family enjoyed Bad Kirchler’s Ferienhof zur Sonne, in September, with half pension. The food was delicious & the pool & sauna were a perfect way to relax & warm-up after our trip to the Hintertux Glacier & Nature Ice Palace extended boat tour. We stayed one night & booked directly through Ferienhof zur Sonne, for the best price, Ferienhof zur Sonne’s furniture is from back in the day, but we slept well & enjoyed being surrounded by mountains. Worth visiting in Summer, for families visiting the snowy Hintertux glacier, in hot weather. Enjoy!"
Hotel Pinzger Tux
"Excellent! The restaurant staff were very friendly. The service was good, the rooms were lovely, clean, and spacious with a great balcony. The central location is also perfect!"
Aktiv- & Wellnesshotel Bergfried
"Met and exceeded our expectations, beautiful location and scenery, beautiful accommodation with all one could need for a relaxing stay. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating even got a surprise cake for my birthday. ............"
Hotel Pension Sonnleiten
"Great family-run hotel, very nice and clean, great food, exceptional hosts' attitude. We missed only fridge in the room, but in 3 stars hotel-pension it is not compulsory. Sourrounding is very hilly, so I would not recommend it to older or disabled people, who cannot enjoy hills (but it is not the fault of the hotel). Also for biking I recommend e-bikes. Nice children playgrounds, lot of cablecars... We enjoyed our stay and we would deffinitely love to came back."
Hotel Alpenhof
"A truly special experience. From the lovely staff, the warm welcoming ambiance , the impeccable cleanliness, the amazing spa to the absolutely incredible meals. The ski lockers and proximity to the shuttle bus helped to make our family ski holiday stress free. We will be back next year."

Hotel-Garni Jakober - B&B Und Appartements
"On the 23rd of April 2025 I stayed at the Jakober hotel in Tux with my family and I had a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel was not exactly central or close to the ski slopes in reality It was a 10 minute drive but the Hotel had very nice wiews, the hotel Is also close to a nice Trail that goes along a clean and stunning river with lots of nice places to take photos. At First I had the impression that the hotel was understaffed but then I realised that the Woman running the hotel was very polite and professional so She made made out experience even Better. The hotel also had a Ski room service which wasn't the best but It was nice and next to It there was a ping pong table and a spa which are wonderful services and I am glad that the hotel offered them. The room on the other hand wasn't as nice Because It was really old style so It was like a Little apartment with two big and comfy bedrooms with bathrooms whilst also having a kitchen; everything was clean and well-kept. In the end we had a really good experience so I would suggest this Hotel to anyone visiting the Hintertux glacier."
Gasthof Pension Madseiterhof
Hotel Alpenjuwel 4 Sterne Superior
"I booked a shortski with my daughter at a travel agency. I was pleasantly surprised about the hotel, I did not expect ending up in such a lovely place; very nice wellness, the food in the restaurant is great, staff super-friendly, underground garage."
Aparthotel Dorfplatzl B&B
"Super warm welcome in a mega well-kept and very tastefully furnished apartment hotel in a colossal natural setting, which has a lot to offer physically active holidaymakers in winter and summer. From one of the two mega stylish saunas, in: a) the well-stocked hotel bar and straight to pizzas that are second to none in the in-house restaurant, or b) prefer to go to the in-house supermarket and then cook your own meals in your own well-equipped kitchen in the apartment, here you are "spoiled for choice" and wake up in very comfortable beds the next day, fit for new action ... of course also with the option of a sumptuous breakfast buffet with fresh delicacies from the region in the restaurant ... or completely relaxed and comfortable with messy hair in your pajamas with the first coffee of the day in your hand on your own balcony with a view of the nearby 3,000m ... Everything depends on your own taste: mega"
Adler Inn Tyrol Mountain Resort Superior
"A Disappointing Experience – Not a True 4-Star Hotel We highly recommend doing thorough research before booking this hotel. Unfortunately, our stay did not live up to the expectations set by the website or the hotel's advertised 4-star status. 1) Location: The hotel is located on a busy road, with heavy traffic from large buses and ski-related car congestion heading towards the main ski lift. Many of the rooms face this road, meaning you can expect traffic noise. This is especially concerning if you have children, as the front of the hotel opens directly onto a busy country road. The image on the hotel’s website, showing a peaceful scene, is misleading—it was taken from the back of the hotel, not the front, which actually reveals a parking lot and a bustling road. Furthermore, the ski lifts are not easily accessible from the hotel. The drive to the lift takes around 10-20 minutes, depending on traffic, or you can rely on the hotel shuttle. It is not within walking distance, so don’t expect a quick walk to the slopes. On the plus side, if you enjoy walking or cross-country skiing, the location is ideal, as there’s a trail behind the hotel. 2) Food: As frequent visitors to Austrian hotels, we have come to expect high-quality food, especially when staying at a 4-star property. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. The food quality was disappointing: Cooked items were often overdone, such as ribs that were severely burnt. Salad ingredients appeared stale, and there was a noticeable recycling of old food. While the dinner service seemed to have gourmet aspirations, it was more akin to a basic cafeteria, with poorly prepared dishes, outdated ice cream, and subpar meat. On some nights, certain family members opted to skip dinner altogether. The food quality here is far from what you would expect from a 4-star establishment. In fact, we joked about nominating the restaurant for a "Gordon Ramsay intervention"—it truly needs a major overhaul. 3) Service: Service at the hotel was another letdown. The front desk staff was consistently unfriendly, especially when we needed help with simple requests, such as arranging transportation or organizing activities. This was particularly frustrating when traveling with kids, as daily plans often change and assistance is crucial. The hotel does seem to cater to regular guests, many of whom appear to have a close relationship with the owners and staff. This may create a more welcoming atmosphere for German-speaking guests or those from the region (Austria, Switzerland, Germany), but for international visitors, the service was lacking. Additionally, for those coming from tea-drinking countries (which is the majority of the world), be aware that the hotel restricts access to hot water and tea service during certain hours. This policy forces guests to buy drinks from the hotel, which, while a commercial strategy, feels quite inhospitable. In our experience, we have never encountered such penny"
Hotel Alpin Spa Tuxerhof
"I booked this hotel based on its proximity to the Rastkogelbahn and the room descriptions and facilities described on the hotel website. We flew into Innsbruck and arranged a private transfer which took about 90minutes. The location of the hotel was great, with a short walk to the gondola. The bus stop for the glacier was a few steps from the ski room and ran frequently. The hotel is also adjacent to the Hexen Kessl, a must visit for some superb Austrian après! We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. Whilst our luggage was taken to the room and ski lockers, we were offered a welcome drink in the bar. We were also able to enjoy the afternoon food offering. After we’d finished our drink and food we were given a guided tour of the hotel. Very useful, as this was a first time visit. Our room (Junior Suite Burgjuwel) was great. Spacious with a generous seating area and double aspect, plenty of storage space for our clothes and ski gear and a lovely big and bright bathroom. It was quite warm at night but we simply turned off the radiator and opened a window. Housekeeping was very efficient and we loved the duvet art! We were on the first floor but would ask for a higher floor next time as that would afford a better view of the mountains. The food selection and quality at breakfast was excellent. From cereals, fruit, cheese, meats, pastries and bakery items to a selection of hot dishes, including omelettes made to order. I loved juicing my own carrots in the machine provided. The food choice and quality was also excellent in the afternoon and evening. It was great to come back from skiing and be able to grab a snack, either savoury or sweet or both. The evening meal comprised six courses, starting with your choice of salad, starter, soup, main, dessert and cheese. The wellness facilities were simply amazing. We loved the rooftop pool and the event sauna in particular. We had a fabulous time at the Tuxerhof and will definitely return."
