Hotel Höhlenstein
"Excellent hotel to stay at. Friendly staff, well-maintained and clean. The food is also excellent. The dinner restaurant is a bit pricey for the amount of food you get. It could be a bit more."
Kinder- & Gletscherhotel Hintertuxerhof
"Amazing location at the base of the mountains. Food and hospitality was friendly and personal. Top notch"
Hotel-Garni Jakober - B&B Und Appartements
"On the 23rd of April 2025 I stayed at the Jakober hotel in Tux with my family and I had a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel was not exactly central or close to the ski slopes in reality It was a 10 minute drive but the Hotel had very nice wiews, the hotel Is also close to a nice Trail that goes along a clean and stunning river with lots of nice places to take photos. At First I had the impression that the hotel was understaffed but then I realised that the Woman running the hotel was very polite and professional so She made made out experience even Better. The hotel also had a Ski room service which wasn't the best but It was nice and next to It there was a ping pong table and a spa which are wonderful services and I am glad that the hotel offered them. The room on the other hand wasn't as nice Because It was really old style so It was like a Little apartment with two big and comfy bedrooms with bathrooms whilst also having a kitchen; everything was clean and well-kept. In the end we had a really good experience so I would suggest this Hotel to anyone visiting the Hintertux glacier."
Hotel Tirolerhof 4 Sterne Superior
"Great hotel with rooftop adults only area. Warm colours, cozy atmosphere, modern lifestyle but still authentic place. Good food, best quality and really nice family. Gym and spa is outstanding, a lot offers & program for free and for everybody. Will definitely come back."
Das Alois 4 Sterne Superior
"A very welcoming, family-run hotel where you immediately feel at home. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. It's especially lovely that the 94-year-old owner, Alois, and his daughter Julia personally greet guests in the restaurant each evening – this gives the hotel a very special personal touch and warmth. The facilities, the spa area, and the outdoor pool are all very nice. Another highlight for us was the ski guide, Erich, who ensures fantastic days on the slopes for the hotel guests and has a wealth of fascinating information to share about the region and the ski area. We hadn't experienced anything like this before, and it greatly enhanced our holiday. Personally, I would have preferred a few more vegetarian options instead of vegan dishes for dinner, but otherwise, the food, from breakfast to afternoon snack, was excellent all around. We'll be back! :-)"
Hotel Alpenhof
"We stayed at Alpenhof Hotel two weeks ago, and we’re still carrying with us the warmth of the welcome and service we received. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel at home from the first moment. The hotel organizes fantastic activities that truly made our stay memorable – the BBQ experience with view on the Alps after a beautiful e-bike tour was absolutely unmissable, and the sunset hiking tour was breathtaking. The dining experience was exceptional as well: from the generous, high-quality breakfast to the delicious dinners, every meal was a highlight. Add to this the wonderful spa, outdoor whirlpool, and you have the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. We can’t recommend Alpenhof Hotel highly enough – a truly special place that we look forward to returning to."
Auenhotel
Hotel Pinzger Tux
"We booked two junior suites on the top floor for six skiers. The hotel is centrally located on the main road in Tux, so the main ski areas are within easy walking distance. I had a single room in the suite. The room faced the main road. Unfortunately, the patio door and window didn't have soundproof glass. This was particularly noticeable in the early morning hours. Until then, you could still sleep reasonably well with the window open, but then the peace and quiet was over. The bathroom was stylishly furnished, but there wasn't enough storage space for three people, and there were no hooks for towels. A generous breakfast buffet was offered in the morning, and in the evening there was a choice of three dishes. The food was generally okay, but there's definitely room for improvement: canned corn as a side dish isn't exactly appealing. The staff were all very friendly."
Thermal-Badhotel Kirchler
"Nothing was too much trouble. I had agreed to share a room with a friend. Little did I know what an Austrian twin room was( google it if you don’t know) we had already had a nightmare journey getting to the resort due to plane cancellations and bad weather, only to find that I had to share a bed with my mate. The hotel staff were more than helpful and gave me a room of my own at no extra charge. The hard work to keep us all happy continued throughout the week. The food is delicious and plentiful including the hot soup and delicious cakes waiting for us when we get back in the late afternoon. The main hotel is rustic, warm and clean and the annex which is a few steps away is more modern. There is a spacious secure boot room and a swimming pool and sauna. The only complaint I have. Is that, all this put together with the wonderful skiing made the week pass by far too quickly."

Gasthof Pension Madseiterhof
Alpenbad Hotel Hohenhaus
"Fantastic hotel in a beautiful resort. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed good skiing, great dinners, comfortable rooms and a beautiful spa area with pool. The team at the front desk and in the restaurant and bar were all super helpful and looked after our group in every way. The games area on the lower floor was a perfect way to chill after dinner."
Hotel Pension Sonnleiten
"Cosy hotel run by wonderful family. Tasty food, beautiful hiking routes around. Easy access to the Hintertux glacier or the city of Mayrhofen. Don’t miss to visit the spa center in the nearby hotel for a reasonable price. "
Hotel Neuhintertux

Aktiv- & Wellnesshotel Bergfried
"Our stay here has almost spanned ten days (we leave in two days). We don’t see snow in Western Australia so our mouths were wide open at the abundance of snow and arriving on 6 December, it was beginning to feel a lot like Christmas 🎄 We were collected from the train station by France who was super friendly and give us some local advice. This family ran hotel is superb! Every inch of the hotel is so well thought out and in all honesty, if we were not skiing each day, the hotel alone would offer so much to do. We felt guilty leaving this beautiful place to hit the piste. The staff are all super helpful. No request is too much. So sorry for not remembering all of the names but just a few to mention here: Hannah, Anna, Alexis, Bianca, Johann, Isobela, Patrick, Jonathan, Doriana (sorry if misspelt) and the driver who give us our complimentary trip to the slopes each day! 😊 During our stay we have only had very minor feedback to give directly to the hotel. Nothing to spoil the stay but very minor detail that may put the icing on the cake for some staying guests. It does not reduce the five star review hence our feedback will be directly to hotel and not on here as it may not impact most and would be unfair given the efforts they go to, to make this place as close to perfection as possible. Our 11 and 12 year old said “this place feels like we have landed in heaven.” We have previously stayed in fabulous places so our standards are very high. The Bergfried hotel has met and exceeded our expectations. Some guests were on their eighth stay. That is testament to the standards of this hotel. There is so much we could say about this place but we loved the surprise element of discovering all this hotel had to offer and would hate to take that away from any future guests. Thank you for our wonderful and memorable stay so far. We are not looking forward to checking out 😢"
