I can't even remember the last time I visited the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Recently, I saw they had a free exhibition of Monet's Water Lilies, so I made a special trip to see this world-class masterpiece. I remember museums used to charge admission, but now it's completely free for everyone! I don't know if this is a permanent policy or a temporary measure, but it's fantastic news. Although it's conveniently located in Tsim Sha Tsui and the facilities are free, it wasn't crowded at all, and there were no long queues. Compared to foreign museums, which are always packed and require overcoming numerous obstacles to see a single painting, here it was relaxed and unhurried – highly recommended! We had a great time. The park is super clean, well-organized, and the atmosphere is magical, just as you'd expect from Disney. The staff is attentive, and everything runs smoothly, without the endless lines you see at other, larger parks. The castle and themed areas are beautiful for photos, and the food, although pricey, is good.
The only downside was that several attractions were closed the day we went, without much prior notice. You plan your day around them, and then you find them out of service, which is a bit disappointing, especially if you're with children excited about something specific. It's worth checking the app or website before you go to avoid any surprises.
Even so, I recommend it. It's smaller and more manageable than other Disney parks, ideal if you're with family and don't want to be exhausted from walking. With what was open, we had more than enough to enjoy the whole day.US$76
