I would like to compliment all the staff at Centara Karon Resort for making our stay so enjoyable.

A special thanks to Jenny at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful during check-in. She personally escorted us to our room and took the time to explain the hotel’s facilities and services in detail. The staff at the Kids’ Club were also wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring towards the children. Throughout our stay, every staff member greeted us warmly with genuine smiles, which made us feel very welcome.

I would also recommend downloading the hotel’s app before your stay. It is very convenient and provides easy access to hotel information and services.

The room design is modern and comfortable. One feature we particularly appreciated was the ceiling fan, which is quite rare in hotel rooms. Given the humid seaside climate, it made the room feel much more comfortable. The room also comes with a large smart TV, allowing guests to enjoy YouTube and Netflix during their stay.

The resort offers three different swimming pools to suit various guest preferences. As a family traveling with a child, we especially loved the family-friendly pool facilities. My son had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed every moment there.

The hotel’s location is another great advantage. Convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and Watsons, along with numerous restaurants, are all within walking distance. Beautiful Karon Beach is also easily accessible on foot.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend Centara Karon Resort to families, couples, and anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Karon.

A decent option, with a fantastic location. It's just a 2-minute walk to the beach, and the pool is open 24/7 with plenty of sun loungers. The grounds are cleaned early every morning, keeping everything spotless. There are tons of restaurants, markets, and massage parlors nearby. The rooms are very spacious, though they haven't seen a renovation in a while, and have huge balconies on all sides. Room cleaning isn't great, but that's a tiny drawback. The staff are very responsive at any time of day. For a beachfront property, the price-quality ratio is simply amazing!

We booked a luxury sea view room and a pool villa, which are single-story bungalows nestled in the hills just around the corner from Patong and Karon beaches. However, the location also presented some inconveniences. Firstly, getting from the lobby to the rooms required calling the hotel's 'Tuk-tuk,' which meant waiting. If you walked uphill, even with good stamina, it would take about 6-8 minutes. Secondly, because it's built into the hillside and integrates with nature, there were more crawling insects and mosquitoes. I got quite a few mosquito bites, and at night, there were sometimes strange animal sounds outside. Luckily, I knew this beforehand, so I wasn't too scared. Thirdly, the property is a bit old, and the facilities definitely need renovation and maintenance. The air conditioning was so loud it affected my sleep. On the second night, I simply turned off the AC and used the ceiling fan before bed, which was quiet and not too hot. The dining here was pretty good; breakfast was ample, and dinner tasted nice! You just have to get used to shooing away the fruit flies. There's a path from the public pool leading to Karon Beach, but the downside is I got bitten quite a bit along the way. In summary, if you're looking for a relaxing hotel stay and beach time, this place is decent! But for going to lively areas, you'll need to book a ride-sharing service.

It was a very pleasant time in this hotel. The staff is super friendly, the room was clean and there was everything we needed including mini-kitchen. The breakfast was good but I would add some hot porridge for children, there were only different kinds of muesli with the cold milk.

Let's start with the pros:
1.  Located in the Karon Beach area, the hotel has a relatively private beach. The beach is very clean and perfect for playing in the sand and water, suitable for both toddlers and older children.
2.  The hotel boasts several swimming pools of varying depths, making it ideal for families with kids.
3.  Overall, the hotel service is decent, with only a few exceptions.

However, there are also many cons:
1.  Aside from the one or two restaurants within the hotel, dining out in the central area requires a taxi ride starting from 200 Thai Baht, which means 100 RMB for a round trip. Walking takes over 15 minutes, and the steep slope leading to the hotel entrance is quite unsafe to walk on. Tuk-tuks don't feel very safe either.
2.  At 3500 THB per night for a twin room during Chinese New Year, the hotel feels quite run-down. While the hygiene is acceptable, the facilities are far behind what you'd find in high-end hotels or B&Bs in China. The toiletries are also very poor; you have to call to request toothpaste and toothbrushes. The bathtub was also very dirty.
3.  The breakfast isn't suited to Chinese tastes, and there are a lot of Indian tourists.
4.  The female duty manager at the front desk, Nicky, had a terrible attitude. She kept frowning every time I asked a question, as if I owed her money. She should be fired!
5.  They gave us the worst room, right on the edge (see pic P20). I don't know if it was discrimination or just a coincidence. I had specifically requested a room with a better view at the front desk, and clearly this room type is available in every building, yet they still gave me the worst one. It was during my complaint that Nicky started frowning impatiently.

This villa is really great, and most importantly, it's very new – excellent value for money! The private pool, although small, is super clean. This price exceeded our expectations. Plus, the villa complex offers a-la-carte breakfast, afternoon tea, and cocktail drinks daily. There's a 7-Eleven right at the entrance, which is very convenient, and the beach isn't far either.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right above Central World shopping mall. To get there, take the BTS to Chit Lom station, walk along the skywalk directly into the mall, then take the mall escalator up to the 7th-floor food court. From there, find the supermarket on the same floor, and then locate the supermarket's exit to the parking lot. Outside this exit, you'll see an elevator specifically for transferring to the hotel. Take this elevator up to the 23rd floor, and you'll arrive at the hotel lobby!  During your stay, you'll receive a welcome drink voucher for the Red Sky bar on the top floor, and each room also gets a daily 500 Thai Baht dining credit that can be used at several of the hotel's restaurants. The room itself is spacious, comfortable, and has excellent soundproofing. It was also cleaned spotlessly every day. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Bangkok!

This is my 2nd stay, I like the hotel service. Just the hotel slightly old and only have one 7-11 nearby, this 7-11 branch have no much choices. Walking distance to platinum mall, Big C, central world and erawan shrine. Can walk to Siam paragon too just slightly far. The nearest BTS station is chit lom. Due to weather too hot as usual, I mostly take grab to going out. 

Breakfast just normal, for me I can skip it.

Hotel room can watch YouTube and Netflix. Overall the hotel is ok, I will come back again because of their service and actually location still not that bad.

First time choosing a hotel near Chatuchak! The breakfast was great, the service was excellent, and the buffet was fantastic. There's a department store and massage shops nearby, and the MRT is just a 5-10 minute walk away. It's about a 30-minute drive to the city center.

Very clean, and the service was excellent. Initially, I was given a room with a view of a rooftop, which felt quite desolate and a bit creepy. I called the front desk and they kindly switched me to a pool view room. I think there was a deposit, maybe 500 THB/night? I can't quite recall. The pool lights seemed to have an issue; even after I reported it, the staff who came to fix it couldn't get them to work properly. However, being a chain resort hotel, the quality is definitely reliable. It's also very close to the city center but not crowded at all, and there's a 7-Eleven just 200m away. I had a really pleasant stay and felt very safe here.

What impressed me was how the staff remembered my dog's name. They were polite, spoke well, and provided excellent service. I've been there twice: the first time with my 13-year-old dog, and the second with my 11-month-old puppy. However, there are two issues. First, the building that allows pets also accommodates guests without pets. The problem is, as soon as I brought my pet into the building, other guests immediately showed fear of my dog, even though we all had to stay in the same building. I wish they would separate these buildings. I felt uncomfortable for other guests and it was awkward to walk my dog, even though I paid full price for my room and an additional pet fee. It's hard to know how to act when you're in the same building as people who are afraid of dogs. Perhaps they should ask guests beforehand if they are comfortable staying in a pet-friendly building; that would be better 😂. The other issue is that the room floors are very slippery for dogs. If a place allows pets, the flooring should really be better. I completely forgot that my dog could barely walk after our first stay. This time, as soon as we left the hotel, I took my dog straight to the vet because she was limping and holding up one leg. It turned out to be inflamed tendons from slipping. Overall, it was good, but I probably won't go back because the vet bills for my dog weren't worth it 😂. People who aren't pet owners might not understand, but everything else was perfect: the food, the service, and the cleanliness.

We chose a two-bedroom suite for our family trip to Pattaya. It was great, as the two rooms were connected and had three large beds, easily accommodating 5-6 people. Centara is a well-known company in Thailand, and the hotel's location is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants right outside. Terminal 21 shopping mall is also only about a kilometer away. Aside from the slightly dated facilities, everything else was perfect. Even though there were many Indian guests, it didn't bother us at all.

GREAT stay again @ my preffered hotel at Pattaya. 
Closed by Central Pattaya, Soi 6 , Beach-Road, Soi Bhuakao, even Walking Street within 20min walking distance. ENJOY it & PATTAYA 🤗
