Facilities: Everything else is good. The faucet of the basin is recommended to be improved. There is a knob for hot and cold water. The hot water is only available when the cold water is turned on to the maximum. And the faucet seems to have no foaming machine. The water is boiled and rushed to the basin. The water splashed around, which is very unscientific.

I spent two nights at Quanji Hotel in Xiangyang, and I left with a mix of impressions some solid wins, one or two quirks, and a sense that this place knows what travelers like me actually want after a long day of sightseeing or meetings.
First impressions
- Exterior and lobby: Modern, clean, and uncluttered. The lobby feels calm, not trying too hard to impress you, which is nice after a long train ride. The check-in process was smooth, with staff who spoke enough English to help, but not so much that you felt talked down to.
- Location: Pretty convenient depending on what you’re here for. It isn’t in the center of Xiangyang’s busiest streets, but you’re within a comfortable walk or short ride to key spots, plus there are eateries nearby that aren’t overhyped tourist traps.
Room and comfort
- The room itself was a solid 4-star vibe: tidy, well-lit, and surprisingly quiet for a hotel in what feels like a busy area. The bed was comfortable—firm enough to support a good night’s sleep but soft enough that you don’t feel like you’re lying on a board.
- Amenities: Decent desk space if you’re traveling for work, reliable Wi-Fi, and a reasonable layout. The bathroom was clean with good water pressure and a practical layout. A few small things felt a touch “budget-first” like standard toiletries and a shower curtain rather than a glass enclosure—but nothing deal-breaking.
- Cleanliness: Overall good. Housekeeping did a thorough job during my stay, and I didn’t notice any telltale corners being overlooked. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable dropping your gear and not worrying about dirt or mess.
Service
- Front desk and staff: Friendly and helpful. They stood by for recommendations on dining and local spots without turning the conversation into a sales pitch. When I asked for directions or a printout of an itinerary, they were efficient and patient.
- Housekeeping: Prompt and discreet. No intrusions at odd hours, which I appreciated.

The whole hotel smells of lavender. The lady at the front desk is very friendly. The breakfast was rich and fresh. I especially like the beautiful lady working at the front desk. She was so warm and generous that it was hard to say goodbye. The first impression is that it is clean and beautiful, and the room is very quiet and warm to live in, and the service is very good. The room attendants are also very nice, and the breakfast aunt is also very enthusiastic. I will stay here again in the future. It is highly recommended and very cost-effective!

GGuest UserThis hotel meets my expectations because my job is related to hotels. Based on my understanding of five-star hotels, this hotel can actually do better. It just needs to be improved a bit.
I drove here on National Day this time, and I was most afraid of not having a parking space, but I don’t have to worry about it at SDIC Jiayue. There are plenty of parking spaces, both underground and above ground. I give this a 10 points. This hotel has high integrity and is owned by itself. Unlike the floors and parking spaces of other hotels where I stayed the next day, they were shared with other hotels. (Mainly, SDIC Jiayue was fully booked, so there were no seats available the next day).
Secondly, the location of this hotel is a little far away from the ancient city and Tangcheng, because I thought that I didn’t care about these problems because I didn’t drive. There are few places to eat and drink for late night snacks nearby, but you can order takeout. If you check into the hotel early in the evening, the hotel has a QR code for ordering food that you can scan and order. Off-topic (the chef in our five-star hotel is available 24 hours a day and can cook as long as the guests need it. This can be improved, although basically no one eats late-night snacks in the hotel). In addition, the operation of turning on the TV program is too complicated. If you are old and don't know how to operate it, you should just watch TV and change channels as soon as you turn it on. By the way, I would like to criticize the front desk. When guests check in, it’s a bit awkward for two staff members to chat in front of me, right? I care about this very much and feel disrespected. In fact, I am very unhappy about this matter. I hope your leaders will see this.
Finally, let’s talk about how early in the morning it is:
For such a high-quality hotel, breakfast in the morning felt a bit chaotic. Not enough staff, guests left, not cleaned in time, etc. This cannot be blamed on the hotel, because there were too many people during the National Day holiday, and everyone was comparing notes. All the hotel’s middle-level leaders came back to work to provide services. I chatted with a hotel leader for a long time. In the end, I gave the hotel a 10-point satisfaction rating. I will come to SDIC Jiayue next time because the state-owned enterprise is guaranteed. I hope the hotel will improve a bit and become the No.1 hotel in Xiangyang city in the future. This is also my expectation for you, come on.

AAnonymous UserThis was by far the best hotel I stayed at during the National Day holiday! The soundproofing was really good. In the morning, I thought the delivery guy was a bit noisy, but it turned out to be a wedding next door, so it really blocks out sound well. Right behind the hotel is a large shopping mall with a Yonghui supermarket, making it super convenient for dining and shopping. They even provide kids' slippers, toothbrushes, and the hairdryer is a Philips! It was very easy to get here from Overseas Chinese Town, and the price was excellent for the National Day period. As for downsides, 1. there's no charging pile. I had to go to the Atour next door to charge, but it wasn't a far walk. 2. This one is a real bug: if two people are doing any two of these activities simultaneously – using the toilet, showering, washing up, or taking a bath – you'll definitely be seeing each other naked.
