JOYA Hotels in Chengdu

So happy with my one week stay in Dorsett Grand Chengdu!! Had a great service from 小余 Eva during check-in & she was so nice to upgrade me to a Suite!! Love the clean & spacious space… Furnitures & interior were well maintained. Housekeeping sisters are really nice people too, they always gave me things that I need quickly whenever I ask. I must also highlight about the security level at night in the hotel made me feel safe at all times, which are many male staffs looking after at ground floor… Every staffs had made this hotel a great place to stay, well done!! :D

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza Chengdu, and overall, it was a very satisfying experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm and professional service. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was promptly shown to my room. The room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and offered all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring Chengdu. The bathroom was clean and modern, with a great shower that had strong water pressure—a small detail that makes a big difference. One of the standout features of Crowne Plaza Chengdu is its excellent location. It’s situated right in the heart of the city, making it easy to access popular attractions, shopping centers, and restaurants. This convenience made my stay even more enjoyable, as I could easily walk or take a short ride to wherever I needed to go. The hotel's dining options were also impressive. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of both Western and Chinese dishes, ensuring that there was something for everyone. The quality of the food was high, and I particularly enjoyed the fresh pastries and local specialties. The facilities at Crowne Plaza Chengdu are top-notch. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the indoor pool was a great place to relax after a long day. I also appreciated the business center, which made it easy to catch up on work when needed. While the hotel is slightly older, it is well-maintained, and the charm of the classic design adds to the overall experience. In summary, Crowne Plaza Chengdu exceeded my expectations in terms of service, comfort, and convenience. It’s a great choice for both business and leisure travelers, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Chengdu.

Great location, the hotel and the rooms are quite old, but thats okay because the price is also lower. Room is okay. Bed is kinda hard. Staff tried their best to communicate in English.

Toilet shower better have door so when showering water won't wet the floor and washing basing can be bigger more better. Laundry no Aircon Abit hot .carpet for my room see a bit dirty. Besides that all is very perfect.

Hygiene: really good. Everything was clean, aircon was great, the suite had a washing/dryer machine which is awesome Management and service: staff are helpful and spoke English. Location: easily reachable distance to most attractions in town. I was cycling everywhere. Will come back

May be because we booked two rooms for 4 nights, we were given room upgrade on checking in. What a pleasant surprise! Our rooms on the 25 th floor ware spacious. One of our rooms had smell of tobacco smoke. When we complained with the front desk, it was quickly resolved with switching to another room which was fresh. Our booking included breakfast. We enjoy the buffet breakfast very much. The breakfast room was modern, bright, comfortably decorated with large picture windows. The staff are courteous and welcoming. The food variety was good, even with traditional local Chinese delicacies! The teas, juices and soy drinks are nice. On the whole, the staff of this hotel were friendly, patient, and helpful. Jack at the concierge should be specially mentioned. He helped us book Sichuan cultural show, and museum tickets patiently. When the internet booking was not smooth , he even called the ticket office direct to find out how he could help us. As for the hotel location, the hotel is just 5 min walk from the Tianfu piazza, and the Chengdu museum is right across the beautiful square. However, if you want to go to Taikoo lane to find nice restaurants, the walk is over 20 min! and better use a cab if you were hungry, as we were on our first night. We had to cross three zebra crossings, and then a long walk, finally gave up walking and settled in a locaL Sichuan restaurant ” TaoDe Pots ” before we could reach Taikoo place. But TaoDe Pot was a nice surprise too, if you can tolerate waiting outside for 20 min, though they provided seating and lemon drinks. We were surprised with the delicious food, good portion, warm service and friendly price!

Nice and comfortable hotel located 5 minutes away from WemshuYuan metro station (line1). We were given a free upgrade and the room is very nice. The front desk staff, Li Dan, at checkin was very polite, friendly and helpful. The room rate was reasonable. There was food mall and streets behind the hotel.

Great layover experience. Attentive and caring service from every staff at this hotel. Front desk staff Gali went out of the way to assist me in booking theatre ticket and patiently providing travel tips to me as a first time traveller to ChengDu. Carter Wang is also super helpful in offering me advice on where to dine/sight-see. THANK YOU all !! (End of July 2024)
