Guest UserWe moved from the Erhai Lake area to a hotel near Dali Old Town because we had to go to the high-speed rail station the next day. The hotel's location is excellent, right on Sanyue Street, which has many food stalls at night. You can cross the street to reach the Cangshan Gate of the Old Town, and it's a short walk to the bustling center. The restaurant was very kind and provided a take-out box for breakfast so I could pack some food. They also gave us an umbrella because it was raining. The front desk lady was very patient during check-in, explaining everything about the hotel and even upgraded our room. So far, Atour has never disappointed me.

CarriediHad a fantastic stay! The hotel's location is easy to find, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The room was clean and bright, with a cozy atmosphere, and the bedding was super comfortable. I really enjoyed the book bar in the common area — it had a great vibe. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options and tasted delicious. Overall, it was a relaxing and hassle-free experience. Definitely my top choice for travel, and I'll be back again!

I was heading to Shaxi the next day, so for easy bus access, I chose Atour, which is not far from the bus station. Bus route 5 takes you straight there. The front desk staff was very welcoming and gave me a complimentary room upgrade. The bedding was up to Atour's usual standard: very comfortable. The room was clean and tidy, and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast on weekends goes until 11 AM, which is a really nice touch. They offered Dali's specialty rice noodles (er si) and douhua (tofu pudding), where you could adjust the sweet and savory flavors yourself. There's a shopping mall downstairs, making dining very convenient. It's much better value for money than staying in the old town.

Guest UserThe breakfast offers a good variety, including local specialties like Ersi noodles, rice noodles, wontons, and other noodle dishes, and you can customize them with your preferred condiments. It gets quite busy during peak breakfast hours, but they're quick to clear tables. The room is very spacious, and since it's a new hotel, all the facilities are brand new. The bathroom has a great wet/dry separation. The front desk staff are really welcoming and helpful.

To be honest, having stayed at Atour hotels in so many cities, this one is probably the worst I've ever experienced. I can't help but write down my honest impressions.
1: During check-in, the front desk staff offered no welcome whatsoever, and the two staff members on duty openly discussed a guest's negative experiences (using some uncivil language) while processing room keys. I was genuinely shocked.
2: The room facilities, while the small size is somewhat subjective, were problematic. My child, who is under 10 years old, sat on the bed, and the bed frame creaked loudly. As you can imagine, at night, every time my child turned over, the bed creaked so loudly that it was impossible to sleep… (Seriously, speechless… Is this the quality control at Atour now?)
3: There were constant small flies in the bathroom…
In short, this Atour hotel, which has been open for less than a year, is either being bribed by the franchisee, or has the Atour brand's expansion stalled drastically…?
