Stay Hotel Guimarães Centro ★★★★
"It was a clean hotel, quiet neighbors, walkable area, close to a major supermarket, lots of cafes. Would stay here again ."
Eurostars Santa Luzia ★★★★
"We stayed at this hotel on Easter Sunday. The hotel is very beautiful and well-designed. The first standard double room we stayed in was very small. We requested a change to one on the same level but with a better view, and they were quite reasonable. Entry to the spa was not controlled, which led to overcrowding at the scheduled time. The restaurant area is the same as the breakfast area, and the food is mediocre. It's preferable to have dinner in the city center as we are 500m away. Breakfast was very good. Free parking was very limited."
B&B Hotel Guimarães ★★★
"The staff are really nice and the room is very clean and cozy. Definitely will stay in again if i visit there again!"
Hotel Toural ★★★★
"The hotel is somewhat hidden in the old town. Everything is easily accessible on foot from here. We were there for our son's acrobatic world championships and will definitely come back. The old town is beautiful with many good restaurants. The walk to the arena takes about 20 minutes, and the walk to the Flixbus stop about 15 minutes. Breakfast is served at your table, and nothing is lacking. Requests were handled with great care and friendliness. There were no language problems, neither in German nor English."
Torel Royal Court ★★★★
"I found a gem in Guimarães. This old house, once owned by a famous tennis player, is elegantly renovated. The front desk service was exceptional, and the bartender was very attentive. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection, not a long, unremarkable array of options. They even had fresh-cut mangoes, which was a delight. The only downside was the bar downstairs, which was incredibly noisy on Saturday nights, forcing me to sleep until 3 a.m."
Ibis Guimaraes Centro ★★★
"Great hotel only the room I picked was a little varulent I don't know if they are all takes it all out of it excellent"
Hotel Quinta da Tulha by VimaHotels ★★★
"Very good room Nice breakfast Nice location Room has air conditioning"
Hotel Mestre de Avis ★★
"The hotel was a great discovery and better than what we expected from the pictures. Very clean, nicely decorated, and the staff are multilingual and very helpful with restaurant suggestions and places to see. As someone else previously posted, don’t pay for the breakfast, you can do better outside the hotel."
Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes ★★★★★
"The hotel was more beautiful and had more to see than most museums or art galleries. It truly felt like staying in a medieval castle. The breakfast and dinner were excellent as well. Just looking at the furniture, the azulejo tiles everywhere, and the paintings makes the day fly by."

"Rather for the price"
Vale de São Torcato Hotel Rural
"Accommodation with a spectacular surroundings and inclusion message to all races and religions. Reception and Spa service very good, careful and careful to the needs of guests. The cleaning of the accommodation must improve as well as the restaurant service. Weak menu, careless and uninterested in the needs of the clients."
Casal de S.Romao do Meio
Quinta da Cancela
"We’ve stayed here for 2 nights with our campercar. From the moment we arrived we felt at home because of the warm welcome. Our stay started with a tour around the property by a passionated host who told us all about the history of the property and the winemaking process. We really enjoyed our days at the pool with a very good tasting glass of rosé! 😊 Arthur even offered us some blueberries he got from a friend! He was open for answering all of our questions about the wine etc. It was a really nice place to relax and come to peace! We would really recommend a stay at this unique place with Arthur and his family! We are already looking forward to our next stay here! Kind regards Arne and Kato from Belgium"
Hotel Das Taipas
"old hotel in badly need of renovation. Very uncomfortable and old mattress. Room with basics only. Old dirty carpet. Clean and functional bathroom though and good heating system. No restaurant, just basic breakfast. No parking either. Personnel ok."
HI Guimaraes - Pousada de Juventude
"The very old structure , of even marriage , the room was frozen heating did not count , but everything was very clean and the staff super gentle ..."
Santa Luzia Apartments by Guestify
"We stayed for a month and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment is fresh and light and well laid out for comfort and convenience. We especially appreciated that both bedrooms each had its own workspace, and that there was plenty of storage space for our things. The simple, tasteful furnishings gave the space a sanctuary feel—a perfect place to unwind after sightseeing and shopping, or for staying in all day when it’s pouring rain. The location is a special bonus—just off a busy street and steps away from bakeries/coffee shops, a fruits and vegetables shop, and restaurants. From the moment we checked in until the end of our stay, the staff were always easy to reach and very accommodating. Thank you Carlos and Rita!"
Hotel da Oliveira
The Grove Houses
"Absolutely stellar stay at the Grove Houses! We were in Guimaraẽs over a rainy weekend, and ended up mostly staying at the property, it was so cozy. We booked a room in the main house, built in 1900, which is brimming with charm--beautiful woodwork, chandeliers, high ceilings, a turn-of-the-last century library and living room to enjoy, and amazing views of the four-acre garden setting from every window. There's also an annex which used to be the gardener's cottage--beautifully restored with a modern, relaxed style and superb finishes. We took a tour and would love to stay there, too! Our bed was super comfortable, with plump pillows and crisp sheets. The breakfast buffet was ample and tasty, with eggs made to order and loads of fresh fruit and pastries, plus Sara's homemade granola! Despite the rain, we couldn't resist exploring the beautifully landscaped grounds. There's parking, and easy walkable access to the rest of Penha, with its lovely trails and cafés and grottos. Best of all is the delightful staff -- "granola" Sara and general manager Sara and Mario -- who couldn't have been kinder and more welcoming and fun. We can't wait to return!"
Quinta da Corredoura, Hotel Rural
"I hate to give a less than stellar review because it is a beautiful place, stylish and nice location. We stayed for 2 nights and because we don’t speak Portuguese I think we were not very welcome. We traveled in Europe for 6 weeks and this is the coldest reception we received. We felt like an inconvenience rather than a welcomed guest. This really tainted our experience and otherwise I think we would have enjoyed it. There were small things with our room as well- a wardrobe with no hangers, no hand soap at the sink, robes but missing the belts-weird but just small things. They did leave us a lovely cheese platter and bottle of wine which was wonderful."
Casa de Sezim
"This is a delightful, authentic, and magnificiently peaceful place to stay in Guimaraes. When you arrive you are greeted by the exceptionally warm and kind owner whose family has owned the property for generations. It is an incredibly beautiful and historic building and each corner you look in has a unique pieces. The hotel has a winery and there is no more beautiful place to enjoy trying the wine than sitting by the pool looking out on the vineyards. This is not an incredibly fancy hotel, rather it is a country experience that really gives you a taste of life in Portugal. The entire experience far exceeding our expectations (was truly outstanding !) and we just wish we had planned to spend more time there. It is spotlessly clean and we can't wait to come back to spend more time at this truly unique and wonderful home. It is an experience not to be missed. "
