Best Western Princes Marine Hotel
"This hotel is the best one in my daughter's opinion, because it is the only one with a bathtub. We were arranged on the north side and we could not see the sea, but it was very quiet. There were very few Chinese people here, just the two of us. For breakfast, you can order meat according to your needs, as well as coffee and black tea. Just tell the waiter and she will serve it to you in a while. The room is large, clean and bright, and the waiter is also very enthusiastic."
The Stirling Arms Pub & Rooms
"The food in this pub is very good restaurant quality at premium pub prices. There’s a very carried menu with even the top class burgers being home made aged pattys. Jerome, the French chef knows his onions. We also had a Tarte Tatin… the best one we’ve had since a Michelin star chef made me one at South Lodge! They also have Harvey’s beer… always a winner!"
Charles Hope Brighton & Hove
"Total satisfaction."
Bow Street Runner
"I love this place. A traditional pub, filled with locals and visitors, some who stay in the beautiful B&B accommodation upstairs. Friendly beyond belief. Full of characters who can tell stories of their lives and the glories of Hove and Brighton. No food, but great traditional pub snacks - crisps, nuts and pork scratchings to die for. Probably the cheapest wine by the bottle anywhere for thirty miles - at least as far I am aware."
The Claremont
"I needed an inexpensive room for one night prior to some cricket at the County Ground and I would be arriving late in the evening then checking out first thing - the quality of the hotel was therefore not hugely important when I was looking to book. However, it’s a real shame I haven’t been able to spend more time here, as the room was very comfortable, extremely clean and the whole place managed with real warmth and attention to detail by the team. Paying less than £100 for a well-designed room with lots of little extras - and to have an excellent breakfast included in the price too - seemed very good value for a property so close to the seafront. I will be back with some regularity for the cricket and, whenever I return, I will make sure I stay here. Thank you for doing everything so well - and for the Fruit Salads and Blackjacks by the bed!"

The Art House Hove
"We stayed for 2 nights in the lovely garden room, very peaceful with a nice view. Room was spacious with fabulous comfy bed, beautiful bathroom with bath, shower, quality toiletries and bath robes. A real bonus having the small kitchen which was well equipped for preparing a simple breakfast before heading out to explore Hove and the surrounding area. Excellent location for restaurants, shops and pubs, easy bus ride into Brighton. Five minute walk to the lovely promenade and beach area. Managed to park our car right outside and was £18 for 48 hours. However the highlight of our stay was the amazing hospitality of Liz and Dexter who were always on hand to provide tips and recommendations. They are such a lovely couple and we can’t wait to return."
