GGuest UserGorgeous old family estate turned Hotel/Guest House. Spacious and comfortable room. Perfect location to come back to after driving around exploring the Scottish Boarders. Breakfast service was lacking in its service. Young and inexperienced staff spent too much time standing around doing nothing instead of ensuring the buffet was stocked, used dishes cleared off tables, or even tables set for guests.

GGuest UserA walking holiday turned to a nightmare when my wife was taken acutely ill and ending up in hospital, first in Melrose and later in Edinburgh. I needed a place to stay and happened on the G and A.On relating my tale to Dawn she ordered me to sit down, brought me a cup of tea and biscuits, said of course there was a room and to stay as long as needed. It was such a relief to have matters settled so easily and with such sympathy. I kept them updated on my wife's progress and eventual discharge from hospital.Both she and Graham made a really difficult time that much easier.Both of us will always be so grateful for all they did, way beyond the call of duty and at a time that due to Covid cannot have been easy for themselves
