Hotels in Cuihu District, Kunming

The hotel's location is super convenient, close to shopping and dining. The room was clean and had no strange smells, but the best part was the incredibly thoughtful service. The staff at the front desk, both the guys and girls, were not only good-looking but also spoke so kindly. My experience was a perfect ten, highly recommend it! 👍🏻👍🏻 Next time I'm in Kunming, I'll definitely stay here again. ＞ᴗoಣ

This was my first stay at an Atour hotel, and it was a very comfortable experience. The staff at the front desk were all enthusiastic and polite. They even gave us small gifts during both check-in and check-out, which made us feel incredibly welcome. The room itself was spotless, the bedding was conducive to a good night's sleep, and the breakfast spread was quite generous. Any small requests we had were promptly fulfilled by the front desk. The hotel's location is excellent, right outside Nanping Old Walking Street and not far from the main attractions around Cuihu Lake. Overall, I'd give it a big thumbs up!

Pros: The hotel has a rich history and has hosted many famous people. The decor is luxurious and beautifully designed. The location is excellent, right by Cuihu Lake. Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded us to a higher floor room (though they didn't mention why proactively). They also provided a sweet soup before bed. Upon check-out, Mr. Wang gave us a farewell gift (yogurt and candy). Cons: For a luxury five-star hotel, the service falls short. The complimentary snack jar in the room had packaging left by the previous guest, which hadn't been cleaned. During breakfast peak hours, it was crowded, but no one was there to help guests find a table. As for facilities, those who prefer showering have to do so in the bathtub, which isn't ideal for elderly guests or children.

Hotel is older than we had expected, the lobby is really old school. Room is upgraded a bit. Elevator is very slow and often need to wait quite a bit of time. This hotel also seemed to many package tour tourists. Food delivery has to be placed in lobby and there is no robot to take it to the room, you have to go to lobby to take your food delivery. The problem , there might not be a central location to collect your food. If there are more than 2 deliveries, one might get confused easily. Location is prob the main attractive feature as it is close to good restaurants and cafes and the Green Lake. Walkable to many places. I say overall the experience is average

I really love Cuihu Lake, so I always try to stay near it when I'm in town. Last month, I stayed at the Grand Park Hotel, but the room felt too small and the breakfast was just okay, so this time I decided to try the Grand Hyatt. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would choose to stay here again on my next visit. Here's why: First, the breakfast was delicious and perfectly suited my taste. The rice noodle and Ersi (a local noodle dish) station was extensive, with a wide variety of condiments, and the flavor was just as good as what you'd find at a dedicated rice noodle shop. They also offered fruit and vegetable juices like kale juice, a great selection of toppings for vegetable salads, tasty homemade yogurt, freshly made French toast, and a high-quality assortment of breads and pastries. The American coffee was decent, and the milk was rich. Overall, I really appreciate this kind of refined breakfast – not an overwhelming number of options that lack appeal, nor a crowded and noisy environment. Second, the service was excellent. Any issues were resolved promptly, and the staff were very friendly. Third, the location is fantastic; you can visit Cuihu Lake whenever you like. Regarding the online comments about the rooms not being new, I think this hotel offers great value for money. Plus, fully smart rooms aren't always more convenient; there's a certain charm to a slightly older place.

The hotel's location is a real gem, just a 5-minute walk to Cuihu Lake where you can see the seagulls and easily explore Yunnan University. Plus, there are tons of great restaurants nearby. The 19th floor is a fantastic spot to check out; the breakfast spread is generous with lake views, and the afternoon tea is absolutely wonderful – sitting there amidst the beautiful scenery is incredibly relaxing. The smart rooms with automated lighting and curtains are very convenient, and the service is thoughtful, with complimentary flower cakes at check-in and a souvenir upon departure. However, rooms facing the street can be affected by noise from the intersection, and some room types could use improvement on cleanliness details. The accessibility ramp is short, steep, and lacks handrails, which isn't ideal for older guests. Overall, it offers good value for money and is perfect for tourists who enjoy exploring and dining out. If you're sensitive to noise, I recommend prioritizing a high-floor lake view room.

Facilities: Quite good. Although the room is small, it's well-equipped. They even put sand in the ashtray. Hygiene: Clean. Environment: The hotel's back door leads directly to Cuihu Lake. You can go for a stroll there right after breakfast. Service: The service is very enthusiastic. We received small gifts when checking in and checking out. I'll definitely prioritize staying here next time I visit Kunming.

The room is clean and sanitary, with complete facilities. Overall, it's just okay. There is tea and drinking water, but no coffee. There are no random gifts, which is understandable. It is very close to Cuihu Lake and has convenient transportation.

This hotel is absolutely stunning! The service, facilities, and cleanliness are all excellent, truly top-notch. The shower pressure was fantastic, making for a very comfortable experience. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring local specialties, and they patiently explained how to enjoy them. You absolutely must try the local specialty rice noodles, and the honey even comes with a honeycomb – simply amazing! The decor is exceptionally beautiful, elegant, and tasteful. The owner even upgraded our room and gave us a gift of tangerines, which we really appreciate! Our room offered beautiful night views. Plus, they're pet-friendly! I highly recommend everyone to come and experience it for yourselves!

The experience is AMAZING! Firstly, the hotel confirmed the time of arrival through the trip.com app and made sure someone was available to open the door because I reached at 3am. The room was impeccable clean and once again amazing. They know about all the hygiene expectations and they used disposable cups. And sanitized towels wrapped in plastic! Wow. And they have free barista coffee and night snacks. And the room is beautiful and very Instagrammable. However, be prepared for some noise during regular timing as it is in the middle of the street of shops. But I absolutely hear no sound after 9 plus. Loved it and would come back again.
