Hotels in Cuihu District, Kunming

For its price this hotel is not bad at all. The bed is particularly very comfy and the premises are clean. One thing am very unhappy about is its claim that some rooms are non-smoking. I booked thinking that if explicitly requested, and I did request, to have a non-smoking room, we’ll be assigned to such rooms. But the rooms assigned to us reeked of smoking so I requested for a change only to be told by those at the counter that the hotel actually permits smoking in all its rooms, so it may be pointless to change because the same problem could arise. When I showed them that Trip.com indicates some rooms are non-smoking, they said that perhaps there’s a mistake because the hotel all along allows smoking in all its rooms. I don’t know whether it is a false claim on the part of the hotel, or on Trip.com but better not mislead. I would have not booked if I knew it’s a smoking hotel. As it’s already late and we’re all very tired and it’s cold outside, we just endured two nights of smoke scents barely masked by sprayed freshener🥴

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's location is perfect, making it super convenient for both shopping and getting around. The surrounding area is wonderfully peaceful and elegant, with no noise whatsoever. The butler service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, anticipating every need. All the facilities were comprehensive, clean, and worked perfectly. I'll definitely be back!

Choosing the Grand Park Hotel for my Kunming trip was definitely the right decision. The day after I arrived, I accidentally twisted my ankle. Luckily, the hotel offered wheelchair rental and quickly provided medical advice. The warm and attentive front desk staff, as well as the thoughtful housekeeping aunties, were incredibly helpful when I couldn't leave my room. The hotel's location is excellent; it's just a 150-meter walk to Green Lake and about a 10-minute walk to Panjiwan Metro Station. The non-smoking floors were a big plus for staying with kids. My children were thrilled when they discovered a connecting door in the middle of our room and, after asking to have it opened, found that it linked to another room.

The breakfast offers a good variety, and the rice noodles are delicious. Staying on the 21st floor was very quiet, and the front desk staff, Xiao Zhang, provided excellent service!

The location is incredibly convenient. The bus stop is right outside the door, and there's a shared e-bike station not far from the hotel (about 50 meters to the left after exiting). There are great local eateries within walking distance, like Wenshan Hexianju for chicken noodle soup and Chenxi Douhua Mixian. Plus, the fantastic Azhou Kitchen, by Cuihu Lake, is also an easy walk. My only complaints are that the hairdryer in the room is quite old and underpowered, and the air conditioning isn't very effective – it seemed to only blow warm air, so I ended up turning it off. The trash can opening is too small, making it hard to throw things away. Also, on the 10th floor, the hot water doesn't stay hot for very long if you take a longer shower. Otherwise, the service was good, and they provided plenty of complimentary bottled water.

Wonderful place to stay, I love the vibe and energy of the hostel itself. I did not stay enough to enjoy to lovely activities and community but I absolutely reccommend this place. I stayed in 8 women room and I appreciated the cleanliness of the bed, bedsheet, locker etc. That is very important as it is the only space just for you. Bathroom was ok, I did not know it is mixed but I did not have any problem - and it was also clean. I like the option of the restaurant and free tea at the reception. Location is also great! Kunming is lovely and artsy town🫶

A very nice hotel near all the hotspots. Located on a lively street, but almost all vehicles are electric (long live progress!), so it's pleasantly quiet. The hotel itself is very nice. Rooms, staff, laundry facilities... everything is in excellent order. The breakfast is also very extensive, with a small Western selection. No English-speaking staff, but the translation app works perfectly. Very satisfied. It takes a little getting used to having the reception on the 13th floor, but with this view, I understand why. The hotel's location is fantastic, right across from Cuihu Park. The staff's service is also incredibly thoughtful and attentive; a butler even contacted us to coordinate before we checked in. On the day we arrived, they gave us a welcome gift, which included lovely roses and a small succulent pot. There was also a variety of fruit in the room, and in the evening, staff brought us tremella soup. The seagull-shaped cookies were delicious too! Everything was perfect, and I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right above a pedestrian street and a mere 3-5 minute walk from the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and the breakfast spread is generous. The staff provides exceptional service; when our room was too warm, they promptly brought an air purifier to cool it down, which was a very thoughtful touch. Highly recommended!

The cleanliness is top-notch, with the entire room spotless and the bedding feeling fresh and comfortable. The environment is quiet and tidy, making for a truly relaxing stay. The service was warm and attentive, from check-in to check-out everything went smoothly. They even gave us a complimentary upgrade, which was a lovely surprise! The facilities are complete and practical, easy and comfortable to use. I'm extremely satisfied with this stay!
