2 nights in 1 room Location: Easy to find, just a 10-minute walk from JR Matsusaka Station. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, a MaxValue supermarket across the street, and many restaurants downstairs, including Sushiro, Gyu-Kaku, and Sukiya. The famous Matsusaka beef conveyor belt restaurant, Ichisho, is within walking distance. Service: Attentive, prompt, and proactive; always responsive and very polite. Room: Larger than typical Japanese business hotels, well-laid out, elegantly decorated, comfortable bedding, clean and hygienic. Strong water pressure in the shower, but the hot and cold water switches are separate, making adjustment difficult and inconsistent. The room has excellent soundproofing, and the onsen (hot spring) bath is a plus. Breakfast: A wide selection of Japanese and Western options, replenished quickly. However, the restaurant is smaller than other Route Inns, and it was very crowded on Sundays, affecting the dining experience.

Breakfast was as delicious as rumors, and I was full with Matsuzaka beef and fluffy omelets. I think it's okay to have a picture book in the corridor for family guests with children. The facilities are old because of the history, but I enjoyed the atmosphere of an old-fashioned inn.
