KKenzieLee5This was our second time staying at Breakers. We had no major complaints about our stay although the TV remote would not let us enter in the numbers listed on the guide. You had to arrow through them each one by one manually. I feel for the price that the rooms could definitely use some love. There were floor tile pieces that were lose and wobbly so when you walked on them they moved. Also, the lower section of wood on the center nightstand between the two beds was falling off and crooked with the particle board showing. Both the front desk women we spoke to in the main hotel lobby by the pool were friendly and helpful with the shuttle bus info. We always enjoy the variety of breakfast options and the views of the lake from our room and the club when eating. We also love the pool and hot tub but the hot tub does show need of some tile repair.
GGuest UserThis motel has a beautiful location right on the lake shore with a nice beach. Our room had a beautiful view of the water from two sides of the room. And we were able to park right next to our room so it was easy to run outside and get things from the car. The wood paneling in the room was really beautiful and the bed was nice and comfy. On the minus side, the space in the room was very limited both in the room itself and in the bathroom. This is an older motel and I'm assuming the lack of space is a reflection of when it was built. The shower is certainly a vintage one. There does seem to be a more modern section of the motel and I would assume that some of the negatives would not appear in the newer section but then you'd lose the beautiful view and being able to park right next to your room. One other negative is the driveway into the motel. It's very steep and it's hard to see what traffic is coming from the left as you exit.
GGuest UserPool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was disappointing. Bed was very firm-messed my sleep and back up since it was so hard. Room was very clean.
SScotThe check-in woman could have been friendlier (she wasn't unfriendly, just not friendly). The best thing about the motel is that it is almost immediately after you turn right on US 2. The motel itself was clean, a bit worn perhaps, with a tiny (by 21st century standards) TV. Check out was easy, just drop your keys in a box. Would I stay here again? Sure, if I'm simply looking for a no-frills experience--a place to sleep and then move on.
