"I want to thank Wayside Hotel for allowing me to cancel my reservation due to the wildfires that are creating the dense smoke. We are traveling with little ones and have been advised not to go into the smoke filled area. The hotel was most understanding and even called me to let me know how I could go about cancelling my reservation. Wow. How kind and understanding of them. "After we left on Monday June 22, following a two night stay on Tuesday June 23, there was a charge of 500.00 pending on my CC phones the property as I had already paid for the room. Accused us of smoking in the room which we absolutely did not. My friends son is a heart transplant recipient two years out, is on oxygen at night for sleep apnea who in their right mind would smoke 🤦‍♀️ His mom does smoke however, always outside with door closed and putting butts put in a cup with water. Ridiculous, room charge was expensive. Have never had an experience like this ever, will definitely not be staying here AGAIN."
