Idea Hotel Plus Savona ★★★★

"Warning – choose another hotel! The hotel stated that the rooms had AC, but when we went to adjust the temperature, we were met with a broken control panel with removed buttons (see picture). This is not only inconvenient, but also potentially dangerous. When I pointed this out to the reception immediately after check-in, I was told that “a previous guest must have broken it” and that as a guest you can never adjust the AC yourself – it is only done from the reception. Should you have to call the reception 24/7 to raise or lower the temperature in the heat? I asked them to lower the temperature, but they never did. In addition to this: • The glass shower door was broken and could not be closed completely. • Several wall sockets were broken and loose, which felt dangerous to touch (risk of electric shock or fire). • The lifts felt unstable and shook, do not seem to have been maintained for a long time. • The room was not properly cleaned."

"Our 3rd visit to this hotel and we had another fabulous stay. Our seafront room with balcony was fantastic. There was a bottle of ice cold fizz waiting for us which we enjoyed sitting on the balcony taking in the view. As ever all the staff were amazing and very friendly. Particular mention to Angela the lifeguard, she is a power house! Food excellent. We love Laigueglia"

"I drove there by myself. I asked Ctrip to call me in advance to ask if I needed to make a reservation for a parking space. They said no. When I got there, they said there were no parking spaces without a reservation. I could only park in a public parking lot. The hotel sign was not obvious. I still had to look for it for a long time even though the navigation showed that I had arrived. The front desk was quite enthusiastic, but their English was not very good."
