Indigo Hotels in Shanghai

I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to the Presidential Suite, which was incredibly spacious – perfect for a group of friends. The view was amazing, directly facing the 'Three Piece Suit' (Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Jin Mao Tower). I've stayed at this hotel many times before, and I always appreciate being able to see both the Bund and Lujiazui from here. Daisy at the front desk was also fantastic with her service and arrangements.

We loved it so much, we stayed here twice in half a month! We originally booked a Deluxe Balcony King Room, but the staff upgraded us to a Luxury Lake View King Room. Stepping out onto the balcony, you're greeted with a stunning view of Dishui Lake. The bedding was incredibly comfortable too. This trip was all about relaxation, so we pretty much just ate and slept – even better than at home, haha! And the breakfast – I'm used to most hotel breakfasts ending by 10:30 AM, but Indigo's goes until 12:30 PM, which is perfect for late risers like us. The staff even gave us complimentary breakfast for both days, which was a wonderful surprise! And here's a small detail: I hadn't mentioned it was my birthday, but the staff noticed it from my previous booking information and beautifully decorated the room with birthday wishes. The moment I opened the door, it felt so special – I even thought I'd walked into the wrong room for a second, haha! We'll definitely be coming back to this hotel again and again.

The location is great, very close to Shanghai Railway Station, and offers a quiet retreat in the bustling old town. The hotel has a modern, movie-themed design with spacious public areas and generous room sizes. The twin beds are 1.35 meters wide, making it one of the most spacious hotels for its price point, perfect for families. Despite a few minor hiccups during our stay, Chris and Joy resolved them quickly and efficiently, so overall, we were very satisfied with our experience.
