Intercontinental Hotel & Resorts accommodation in Shanghai

Haha 🙂, to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, we Shanghai locals specially chose to stay at the InterContinental Shanghai Expo. As a world-renowned five-star hotel chain, its hardware and software are top-notch and luxurious. The buffet dinner was abundant, and the lovely lady at the front desk upgraded us to a river-view room, which was absolutely beautiful! The InterContinental Shanghai Expo has a high occupancy rate... definitely worth the money!

Stayed here again during the Spring Festival. The festive atmosphere was wonderful, and the hotel had various activities for guests. All the staff, from those around the hotel to the housekeeping team, greeted us with smiles, answered all our questions, and were always ready to assist, making us feel relaxed and comfortable. The hotel breakfast was also very rich, and the service was attentive and thorough. This time, I stayed on the 20th floor, and the central air conditioning was a bit too powerful – it was too hot, so I had to keep the window open. I felt that some of the hotel facilities were a bit dated. The hotel is very close to the subway station, making transportation convenient. The food street in the basement of the surrounding shopping mall was also excellent, really great. I'll definitely choose InterContinental Shanghai Pudong Tangchen again in the future.

I specifically chose this hotel near Hongqiao because I had to catch the high-speed train the next day, and the location was absolutely perfect! It's right inside the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), and the whole place felt incredibly spacious and comfortable. Upon check-in, not only did they upgrade my room, but I also received a complimentary fruit platter, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. The room was spotlessly clean. It was incredibly convenient as a stopover for a transfer, perfectly meeting my need for a brief rest. However, there genuinely aren't many commercial facilities around the hotel, and choices are limited. But I had only planned to rest in the hotel for the day anyway, so it didn't really affect me. Overall, for anyone needing to transfer through Hongqiao, this hotel is a reliable choice. It's spacious, clean, and convenient – a pretty good experience all around!

I booked a deluxe king room, and the lovely lady at the front desk assigned us a room on the 29th floor. The view was expansive, bright, and open, and the room itself was clean and tidy, with everything well-prepared. The bathroom was spotless, and the bedding was very comfortable. The large sofa running along the window was a fantastic touch. After a tiring day of traveling, arriving at this grand hotel instantly revitalized me. It was simply amazing! The hotel lobby and entrance are very impressive and elegant. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get to Xintiandi, Jing'an Temple, and The Bund. It's also right next to Shanghai Station but isn't noisy at all. The breakfast offered a rich variety of dishes with authentic and unique flavors – definitely great value for money.

This was my second visit, and I stayed for two nights. I got to see a spectacular fireworks show! Perhaps because it was a holiday, the overall efficiency and attentiveness of the service weren't as good as my first time. The butler's replies were a bit slow, there were no towels in the swimming pool lockers, and the mini-fridge wasn't restocked with drinks on the second day. The USB port near the camping light was also faulty. However, I'm still giving a five-star review. Generally, every staff member, from the front desk and concierge to housekeeping and security, was very polite and enthusiastic, and clearly well-trained. I'm just sharing some honest feedback in the hope that things can get even better.

Truly a memorable stay at Intercontinental Wonderland Hotel. The scenery is outstanding with the waterfalls and the waters right in front of you. The room is spacious, elegant and the room layout is just right. The Light Show at night is truly outstanding. The staff are really friendly. Skyler, Teresa, and Esenia from Reception are very accommodating. Mandy and Peter Pan’s sincere smiles warm our hearts as they serve. Special commendation to 马东艳 Dongyan Ma for being kind and helpful when we sought her assistance. It’s truly worthwhile coming to this noteworthy hotel. It’s outstanding from beginning to end!

🌸 A Romantic Season: It was my mom's 80th birthday, and after two full weeks of searching and comparing, I booked the Ruijin InterContinental, which received unanimous praise from my family! The dishes at Xinyuanlou were exquisite and delicious, with an added touch of surprise – we could overlook the cherry blossoms below from the private room's balcony. From our suite's window, we could see a row of cherry blossom trees; when the wind blew, the petals fell, creating a gentle and beautiful scene. The hotel service was professional, from the front desk to the concierge, and from the breakfast at Langlu to the room service in our room – everyone was friendly and patient.
