I booked a deluxe king room, and the lovely lady at the front desk assigned us a room on the 29th floor. The view was expansive, bright, and open, and the room itself was clean and tidy, with everything well-prepared. The bathroom was spotless, and the bedding was very comfortable. The large sofa running along the window was a fantastic touch. After a tiring day of traveling, arriving at this grand hotel instantly revitalized me. It was simply amazing!

The hotel lobby and entrance are very impressive and elegant. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get to Xintiandi, Jing'an Temple, and The Bund. It's also right next to Shanghai Station but isn't noisy at all.

The breakfast offered a rich variety of dishes with authentic and unique flavors – definitely great value for money.

I booked this hotel specifically for easy parking when attending the exhibition, as parking there is usually a nightmare. To my surprise, there was nowhere to park, and I had to search for a long time before finding a spot in a hidden corner. After the exhibition, when I went to my car, many other vehicles had already left, indicating that not all of them belonged to hotel guests. Despite a tiring day, I was pleasantly surprised when the front desk agent, Rainy, upgraded my room. Although the room showed its age, you could still tell it was built during an economic boom, reflecting a level of luxury you don't often find in newer hotels, which seem to use less quality materials now. The breakfast was also a delightful surprise, with every dish being excellent. The concierge team was incredibly helpful; knowing we were exhibiting, they extended our parking until the evening. I'll definitely stay here again for my next exhibition!

Truly a memorable stay at Intercontinental Wonderland Hotel. The scenery is outstanding with the waterfalls and the waters right in front of you. The room is spacious, elegant and the room layout is just right. The Light Show at night is truly outstanding.
The staff are really friendly.

Stayed here again during the Spring Festival. The festive atmosphere was wonderful, and the hotel had various activities for guests. All the staff, from those around the hotel to the housekeeping team, greeted us with smiles, answered all our questions, and were always ready to assist, making us feel relaxed and comfortable. The hotel breakfast was also very rich, and the service was attentive and thorough. This time, I stayed on the 20th floor, and the central air conditioning was a bit too powerful – it was too hot, so I had to keep the window open. I felt that some of the hotel facilities were a bit dated. The hotel is very close to the subway station, making transportation convenient. The food street in the basement of the surrounding shopping mall was also excellent, really great. I'll definitely choose InterContinental Shanghai Pudong Tangchen again in the future.

🌸 A Romantic Season: It was my mom's 80th birthday, and after two full weeks of searching and comparing, I booked the Ruijin InterContinental, which received unanimous praise from my family! The dishes at Xinyuanlou were exquisite and delicious, with an added touch of surprise – we could overlook the cherry blossoms below from the private room's balcony. From our suite's window, we could see a row of cherry blossom trees; when the wind blew, the petals fell, creating a gentle and beautiful scene. The hotel service was professional, from the front desk to the concierge, and from the breakfast at Langlu to the room service in our room – everyone was friendly and patient.

Haha 🙂, to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, we Shanghai locals specially chose to stay at the InterContinental Shanghai Expo. As a world-renowned five-star hotel chain, its hardware and software are top-notch and luxurious. The buffet dinner was abundant, and the lovely lady at the front desk upgraded us to a river-view room, which was absolutely beautiful! The InterContinental Shanghai Expo has a high occupancy rate... definitely worth the money!

This was my second visit, and I stayed for two nights. I got to see a spectacular fireworks show! Perhaps because it was a holiday, the overall efficiency and attentiveness of the service weren't as good as my first time.

The butler's replies were a bit slow, there were no towels in the swimming pool lockers, and the mini-fridge wasn't restocked with drinks on the second day. The USB port near the camping light was also faulty.

However, I'm still giving a five-star review. Generally, every staff member, from the front desk and concierge to housekeeping and security, was very polite and enthusiastic, and clearly well-trained. I'm just sharing some honest feedback in the hope that things can get even better.

Breakfast was delicious. The staff was super-friendly, prompt and very accommodating. The plus point is that the hotel is connected to the mall. Will definitely recommend our stay in The Intercontinental to our friends and family.

The hotel is located at a good location, close to JBR and there a few restaurants and supermarkets located within walking distance! 
 
Most of the staff are very nice and helpful, other than the lady who checked us in! She talked us into upgrading our room to the resident side with a balcony but failed to mention without a bath tub! She didn’t tell us until we already paid for! Now we are stuck into waiting for the whole refund process! 


As for the room we stayed in… the junior suite! The view is still very nice, still can see part of the marina! However, the room is very very dark! It doesn’t have enough lights! 
I can barely do my makeup at night even with all the lights on in the room!  

The bed was too soft for us but apparently you can ask the housekeeping staff to remove some topper to make it more comfortable! However, I do suggest you to bring your own pillows if you want decent sleep! They are way too soft! 

The hotel itself have very limited restaurants! One is the main restaurant located at the lobby! Breakfast options are decent! Another one is located at the 1st floor, is an Italian restaurant called Papa’s the food are amazing and delicious! However it is not part of the restaurant group!

I really liked everything, especially in the evening. You don't have to go anywhere, you can just sit on the embankment. The view from the pool is amazing!

I recently stayed at intercontinental residence suit for four nights and overall, it was a delightful experience. The hotel is a bit far from major attractions and public transport, but if you rent a car (which you most probably would) it's not an issue.

The staff at were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, adding to the hassle-free experience.

The room was clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Amenities such as the flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, and complimentary Wi-Fi were much appreciated. However, the Wi-Fi was rather slow and there were no electrical outlets near the beds, so we had to ask the front desk for an extension cord, which they kindly provided.

One of the highlights was the hotel's on-site restaurant. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, catering to different tastes and dietary needs. The dinner menu was equally impressive, with high-quality dishes that showcased the chef's skill.

However, there were a few areas where the hotel could improve.The bathroom was very spacious, but the toilet was very close to the wall. The bathtub had a huge margins which made getting in and out very difficult and dangerous, since there was no handle to hold. The shower also was so close to the wall which considering the huge margin of the tub and the slope of the tub made taking a shower an unpleasant experience.

The hotel's common areas, including the lobby and pool, were well-maintained and inviting. The pool area, in particular, was a great place to relax, though it did get quite crowded at times.

In summary, intercontinental residence suit offers a solid 4-star experience with excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a convenient location. With a few minor improvements, it has the potential to be outstanding. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to the city.

Summary: Highly recommended for families with kids! This is the ultimate parent-child hotel in downtown Shenzhen! 

Facilities: It boasts a non-powered amusement park, a carousel, an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor water play area, an outdoor sand beach, and a mini-train! You can even get free fish food from the restaurant to feed the koi! Kids can easily spend two full days here without getting bored!

Room: The front desk saw we had two kids and upgraded us to a two-bedroom apartment. It's incredibly spacious, with three bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. There's even a washing machine (perfect for spin-drying swimsuits after water play or drying wet clothes)! Absolutely perfect!

Buffet: The package included two buffet meals: breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, you can pick your own fruit in a little basket and have the staff make fresh juice – that alone is unbeatable! Compared to other five-star hotels, there are so many made-to-order options for breakfast (even more than the pre-made ones), plus freshly steamed rice rolls, a Guangdong specialty! The dinner buffet selection isn't huge, but they have oysters, shrimp, crab, sashimi, lamb racks, and pan-fried beef, all of excellent quality! The desserts were especially festive, as it was Easter!

This hotel is located in the northwestern part of Shenzhen, at the northern end of Bao'an District, quite close to Dongguan Chang'an Station. It's near Shenzhen's new convention and exhibition center. On days without conferences, the surrounding area is incredibly quiet and comfortable, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway! The rooms are exceptionally clean, and the facilities are comprehensive and luxurious. It offers a truly lavish experience. I'll definitely be back next time! Highly recommended!

Overall, my stay was fantastic! The private beach was the absolute highlight – so much cleaner, quieter, and less crowded than the public ones. The sand was wonderfully fine, and it was well-maintained. Even though the waves were a bit strong recently, stirring up some sand, that's just nature and not the hotel's fault.

The pool was the biggest standout: huge! The deep and shallow areas were well-sectioned, so kids of all ages could find a pool they liked. The best part was the water quality – no strong chlorine smell, and you could tell it was constantly circulating and refreshed. My skin didn't feel itchy after swimming, which was really comfortable.

Every room faces the ocean, offering spectacular views. The rooms were a good size and well-equipped, making for a very comfortable stay.

As for dining: the breakfast and dinner buffets were decent overall. It would be perfect if there was a bit more variety.

In summary: the beach, pool, and ocean-view rooms were all excellent. It's a great spot for a family vacation, and I'd definitely consider coming back.
