AAlimar NathanWe had a pleasant stay at Hotel Marta. The location is excellent — right in the middle of Zurich and close to everything, making it very easy to explore the city. The service was great, especially the lady who assisted us during check-in; she was very nice and friendly, which made us feel welcome.
The room itself was clean and simple, though it didn’t have air conditioning. We had to slightly open the window for ventilation, which was manageable. We requested a higher floor, but I think because we also requested two single beds, we were assigned a lower floor instead. Not a big issue, but something to note.
Breakfast was very minimal in terms of options. If you have the choice, it might be better to skip the breakfast and try some of the many nearby cafes instead.
Overall, Hotel Marta is a good, no-fuss option if you want to stay in a central and convenient location in Zurich with friendly service.

GGuest UserChinese comments! Girls must take the initiative to ask them to give you the lower bunk! It will correspond to whether your locker is on the top or the bottom. I am so short, and I was speechless when he gave me an upper bunk with such a heavy suitcase. Later, he couldn't stand it anymore and moved me to the bottom. There were many lower bunk positions at that time. It felt like it was intentional. The hygiene seemed okay on the surface, but I always felt itchy when I slept at night! And you have to climb stairs to check in. It will be a bit inconvenient for people with suitcases, but the advantage is that it is a 2-minute walk from public transportation and very close to major attractions. By the way, there is no place to hang clothes, no dryer or anything, and no washing machine. There is no separate small hanger for you.

AAngelinchinaThis hostel is clean and conveniently located, close to the main touristic attractions and the main train station. Shared bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The room is comfortable.
However - the hostel is just next door to a bar, so it’s very noisy until the bar closes (on a Friday night is 2AM). checkout time is at 10AM, which is not only unusual but very inconvenient.
I won’t be staying in this hotel when I return to Zurich
