Great
JJudgeJustinAfter surviving a passport control queue that felt long enough to qualify as a second flight, walking into 25Hours Hotel Zurich was pure bliss. Weâd booked a Large room for our first Valentineâs weekend together, and it was a brilliant call - spacious, beautifully presented, and hitting that elusive sweet spot between âindustrial-chicâ and âactually comfortable.â
The showstopper (quite literally) was the glass shower cubicle standing proudly in the centre of the room. Itâs a bold design choice that we loved, and for those who arenât quite ready to share that much with their partner, itâs easily screened off for a bit of privacy. The free mini-bar and designer coffee were lovely surprises that made us feel like VIPs, and the smart TVâs screen-sharing was a total win; mirroring Netflix from our phones was effortless, making our late-night movie plans a breeze.
The staff were truly excellent. We turned up an hour before the official check-in time, but instead of being sent away to wander the streets, the receptionist checked us in immediately with a genuine smile. Furthermore, after we indulged in slightly more red wine than was perhaps wise the night before, the team graciously allowed us a late check-out with zero fuss and no extra charge. That level of empathy is rare, in my experience.
If you want high-quality, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quirky accommodation in a prime Zurich location, look no further. It even smells fantastic - Iâm convinced thereâs a designer scent being pumped through the air conditioning. (Note to management: if you sell that fragrance in a bottle, please let me know - Iâll take five!)
We had a highly enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will definitely be back.
GGuest UserHotel room was clean and modern.
Customer service needs a lot of improvement, particularly a receptionist called Natasha.
After collecting our luggages from the storage, I proceeded to asked her for the hotel room key as we have yet to check in. She then said âshe wouldn't know anything as I did not provide any details to herâ. As a front desk staff, I would think it is part of your responsibility to maybe ask?
On another occasion, I asked her if it was okay to get something delivered to the hotel tomorrow as I forgot something and needed it urgently. Her respond was âIsn't it too late now that I ask her?â The look on her face was a look of annoyance.
I told her I could cancel it if it wasn't allowed. Eventually, my item was not delivered as she probably did not cascade the information to the staff on duty the next day.
Would appreciate if she could respond nicely, especially when you're in the service line.
I'm not sure if it has anything to do with ******?? I've observed that she was very friendly and accomodate a guest of a different race whom asked her for a favour.
If you'd like consistently good service, I'd suggest put your money elsewhere. The accomodation doesn't come cheap as well.
FFrom SgIt costs 7CHF to reach Hotel Krone Unterstrass from ZĂŒrich airport. Take the train from the airport to the ZĂŒrich Oerlikon station then switch to tram#11 and alight at âKronenstrasseâ stop. Hotel is just next to the tram stop. The neighbourhood is very quiet once dusk falls. Youâll soon discover that 3 stops more of tram#11 and youâll be at the ZĂŒrich main station (ZĂŒrich HB) which is the city centre. The room has manual-controlled ac compressor (thank god) even if itâs fairly cool without it (~14 deg C outside at end-Sep). Thereâs no mini bar fridge and they provide a petite metal kettle. The whole point of my review is to commend Laura Mannino (spelling), the first point of contact when you visit the daily breakfast buffet. With her ready smile & winning demeanour, sheâs an asset to every hospitality business. My 5th floor room has a newish feel to it & I really have no complaints. If you prefer to stay at the edge of the city centre and not pay an arm/limb for those $400~500 a night room at the city centre, Hotel Krone Unterstrass is ideal. Would I come back? Yes!
JJethro.TThe front desk staff were incredibly polite! So nice! The room exceeded my expectations â it was clean and tidy. The location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the metro station and a 7-minute walk to the Coop supermarket. It only takes 8 minutes to get to Zurich city center by public transport.
MMiao miaomiaomiaoA very good stay experience. When I first checked in, I was not amazed, and even wanted to complain about the small bed in the triple room. It was a bit casual, right? But after actually checking in, I found that the mattress was very comfortable, the quilt was also very comfortable, and there was a bed-making service at night.
Although the bathroom has a glass door, it was a little awkward when taking a shower, but fortunately it was a family trip, so it was okay.
Here comes the point: I had to catch an early train on the day of check-out, so I didnât have time to eat breakfast. I went to the front desk to ask if I could pack my breakfast? The front desk professionally took out a service sheet, recorded the room number and the number and content of the packed breakfast, and agreed on the time to pick up the meal in the morning! When I went to pick up the meal in the morning, it was already packed, great đđ»!
The location of the hotel is very convenient, the train station and various attractions are within walking distance, suitable for Zurich Citywalk.
EEllen TorresThe room is clean but itâs cramped, hard to move fast. The front desk staff in the morning particularly the guy is rude. We were a bit early for breakfast because they changed their time from 6:30 to 7am which we aligned for our day activity. When i asked if we can just sit inside while waiting for a few minutes before 7am, he answered me rudely saying âas i said..â, but when we came inside at 7:01am, there were already people eating there, 2 pairs i saw. This is rude because we were pressed for time as we have to catch up the tour bus and we paid for the breakfast knowing the time is 6:30am but they changed it the night before and they let other people in while we just requested to be seated inside while waiting for 7am. Most of their staff are rude. Only the guy at the breakfast checkin is nice.
AAnonymous UserMy first visit to Switzerland on my honeymoon was Zurich!
I felt good as soon as I arrived in Zurich and I was satisfied because the accommodation was clean.
It's not as far from the station as I thought:-)
There's nothing you can't find around here and you can walk around Zurich.
It's great to see the night view and go home.
GGuest UserService: This is where the hotel truly shines. All the staff were incredibly helpful, professional, and thoughtful. They provided detailed explanations and actively offered assistance. I especially appreciated encountering two Chinese-speaking staff members who not only wished me a Happy New Year but also engaged with me in Chinese, making me feel right at home.
Environment: The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the main train station and all the attractions in the Old Town, all within walking distance. The hotel design is appealing, and the little calf statue at the entrance is adorable.
Facilities: The room was spacious, especially the bathroom. However, the pillows weren't very comfortable and might not be ideal for people with neck problems.
Cleanliness: Generally good, but the details left something to be desired. There was a faint, persistent odor from the refrigerator in the room, even though it was empty, suggesting that ventilation needs improvement. Also, one of the towels had noticeable orange-red stains.
MMarc1Really good modern hotel with spacious rooms. I recommend for the people that decide for this hotel to arrive by car, as it is a bit more remote, the valet parking takes care of the rest. Fantastic restaurant on the 4th floor, in case you donât want to travel into the city, over all a 5/5 experience!
