A very nice Japanese-style hotel, like an ancestral home, well decorated and maintained. The whole building has two floors, and the restaurant is on the second floor. Breakfast is a typical Japanese breakfast, and the latest one is 8:30. There should be guest rooms on the first and second floors, and there are private and public bathrooms on the first floor. The hot spring pool is very clean, but also very hot. The room is very spacious, with just enough space for four beds. There is an indoor bathroom, but no shower room. The indoor balcony looks out to the garden view, which has a good view and is very quiet. The transportation is also convenient. There is a bus stop to Matsumoto Station at the door, and the journey takes about 25 minutes. PS: The hotel feels like it is run by a family of four, father, brother and sister. Seeing that there are no reviews on Ctrip, I hope the reviews can help everyone. Personal test, recommended to friends who go to Matsumoto.

Our stay at Poetical was truly one of the most memorable experiences of our trip in Japan. From the peaceful atmosphere surrounded by beautiful nature to the warm hospitality of the owner, everything felt so special and heartfelt. My husband and I were deeply touched by the kindness and care we received throughout our stay. The homemade meals were absolutely delicious, every dish was prepared with so much love and attention, making us feel completely at home. Thank you for creating such a beautiful place filled with warmth, comfort, and unforgettable memories. We already miss Poetical and hope to come back again in winter to see this lovely place covered in snow ❄️

It may be a little far away from Matsumoto Station but its definitely worth the effort! The most affordable and Japanese quality accommodation! Great Japanese breakfast and dinner, can upgrade to shinchu beef which is a MUST!! The beef just melts in the mouth. The onsen is great and clean. The single room is really big and thats the view in the 3rd photo from the room. The souvenir shop is awesome! Its sells some great product like honey which i cant find at the souvenir shop at Matsumoto station. There is a mini concert at times at the hotel which sings Japanese folk or country songs. It is a hotel that caters to mainly Japanese locals where the reception cant speak English but are super friendly and willing to communicate through translation apps. Awesome place! Definitely coming back again!

I went to Xinzhou University with my daughter and chose this hotel. The proprietress was very enthusiastic, helped with the luggage, brought the items to the room, and gave the map around. The hand-painted was very careful, telling us about the restaurants and convenience stores around. Matsumoto was really quiet at night, but the law and order in Japan is also very good. There is a public soup pool in the hotel where you can take a bath and it is very comfortable. Deferred time check-out is only a symbolic supplement to the room rate. Very satisfied with a trip, and then Matsumoto will choose to live here.

the accommodation is very clean.the owner is super kind.the accommodation,although it is a mattress.the floor,but the cushion is more comfortable than i thought.the blanket is warm,and there is an onsen as well.i went to soak at night,there were no people at all,super comfortable. Bath cream, soap and shampoo are also very good, the skin is not dry, the hair is soft and dim, I like it the most, there is a shower room and a separate bathroom, complete equipment, hot and cold, very strong and stable, comfortable, spacious parking, the view in front of the accommodation is refreshing, plus it is close to sawando bus, only 5 minutes to go again.

A family operated hotel with restaurant. There is indoor private onsen available. Please check in early to book the time. Nice accommodation with great camping vibe.

部屋も清潔で、和室が落ち着いた雰囲気の旅館でした。 急遽宿泊する事になりましたが駐車場も目の前でよかったです。 温泉は露天風呂などはありませんが、日本庭園を眺めながら入れるのがよかったです。 ゆっくりと過ごしたい時に泊まりたいです。 タオルやアメニティがもう少し豊富だとありがたいです。

The hotel is very clean, quiet, and a very good place to sleep. Service is excellent, very unique Japanese couture. Onsen is also good. No food service at the hotel; you need to request it in advance, but the hotel can bring you to a local Korean or Japanese restaurant, which is also good. I recommend Korean kyuza.

The open-air bath was wonderful with western style and Japanese style. It was great to hear the request to early check out.

Nice stay in this little pension ! Food was really excellent and the highlight of our stay. However the room is not really big and the bed are too hard/not confortable. It’s a shame that we were not politely asked to leave 10 min after checkout time, we thought that being alone we could enjoy a bit more after 3 nights. Lastly, paying for renting a towel is quite unsual when the room is in this range of price.
