Great
GGuest UserMy experience was awful. The first night a false alarm went off in the entire hotel at 4:45am. The next day we came back to our room and the room service was not done. Lastly, since the hotel was going through renovations, our last night at the hotel was horrible since the day before the AC units on our floor were turned off cause of the same renovations previously stated. In summary, an awful experience especially for how expensive the hotel was. The only good thing was the location but will never stay at this Embassy Suites again
AAnonymous UserThe vertical space was ample, and I had a fulfilling day. However, the other guests in nearby rooms were very loud, and the sound echoed through the walls constantly. So, if there are people who don't respect others' privacy, it might be a bit tough to stay here.
Bbobodoglocation is ok, price is acceptable, sanitation is ok, facility is ok, service is ok.
generally this is an old school fashion hotel with required quality. two things that are not so satisfied during this journey.
One is although the location is convenient, the surrounding environment is not that good. the hotel is low rise building, and there is a open park nearby. you can here some people grouping and noising at midnight occasionally, i think they rejoice with weeds. also when you walk outside street, the air is full of **** smell.
the second thing is the problem with fire arm in my room on one afternoon, which is loud and harming my ear.
LLivyC75The hotel room was very spacious and well-designed with a large comfortable bed. There’s also a sauna with a beautiful view of the city skyline. The location is just north of Berri-UQAM station which makes travel convenient, although the area itself isn’t particularly safe and during the summer months, it’s clear there are a lot of individuals suffering from homelessness, addiction, and mental health struggles who use the surrounding neighbourhood parks to hang out. The hotel staff were generally helpful although there were a few times we made requests to the front desk that needed following up. The amenities in the room itself felt very well-maintained. One downside was that there was no free bottled water provided and we had to buy water from the shop in the hotel lobby, which was heavily overpriced and we thought it was a bit ridiculous considering the price we were paying for the room. Overall, would recommend as it is a cheaper hotel than others but this comes with a price in terms of area safety and amenities provided by the hotel.
GGuest UserI’ve been coming to Hotel Zero 1 for a few years, being the only hotel I book in Montreal due to its impeccable walkability. That being said, it’s unfortunate that it’s no longer shiny and new, you can really see the wear and tear over the years. If you want luxury you’re not going to find it here; however, it’s still a great place to stay for the action packed traveller who wants somewhere a bit nicer than a motel to stay. I booked knowing full well it wasn’t going to be the most amazing stay but it was not as bad as some of the Google reviews make it out to be- it’s just dated. The room was clean, check in and check out was easy, and even though the valet service is closed, the parkade they directed us to was safe and straightforward. I’d categorize this hotel as 3 stars as the amenities aren’t that great, but just know what you’re walking into, manage your expectations to that, and you will have a great stay.
It’s just kind of a shame to see a hotel that I have great memories in not keep up with maintaining the property. If they repaired the fabric on the bed, replaced the shower heads and updated with smart TVs, that would make a world of difference.
TLDR;
Pros: clean linens, cable tv, microwave and fridge in the room
Cons: dated technology, broken Roku, only one elevator for the whole building, no on site parking.

MMarley KThis hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well.
This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyone’s tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyone’s taste palate.
I’d highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.
GGuest UserWe were very fortunate and truly grateful to be checked in early by the kind gentleman working in the reception.
Hotel is localed nearby to the various attractions within walking distance from the hotel.
The hotel is within 10-15 minutes from the main train station and highly recommended to stay for ease of exploring the various attractions and breakfast was included.
GGuest UserIt’s good but not satisfying actually they charge for parking my previous visit in Montreal but n other hotels they didn’t charge for parking anyway it’s good experience

GGuest UserThere is no breakfast, the service is average, and a deposit is required when checking in, and the deposit is returned when checking out, which is obviously troublesome and inconvenient for guests. Room inspection is required every time you check out.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent. Many attractions in the old town are within walking distance, and for those further away, there's a bus stop right outside with the 747 route. However, there's no way to heat water in the room, not even a coffee maker, and the front desk doesn't provide one. The pot of coffee offered by reception each morning is gone before 10 AM. We arrived around 8 AM, and the front desk insisted we couldn't check in until after 4 PM, not even a minute sooner.
