Great
GGuest UserThe service at this hotel is truly excellent. Everyone goes above and beyond to provide a welcoming and comfortable stay. The breakfast provides choice and variety. The free car park is very well lit and parking is ample. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, toiletries and quality towels are provided. The large screen tv has a variety of channels. There is a desk, a microwave and a fridge. The blackout blind is great. Coffee is available 24hrs. There is a pool and a laundry room which was useful as I extended my stay. I stayed for three weeks and never considered moving to another hotel. Special thanks to Yennifer and Paula at reception, and the breakfast team for their professional, friendly and kind service. The hotel is always spotlessly clean and maintenance is constantly taking place. My stay was excellent because the hotel itself was great but most of all because of each member of staff is busy being amazing. Thank you to all for a wonderful stay.
BB-YThe hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance of many attractions, making it very convenient. The staff is warm and friendly, and deserves praise. The daily gift of drink and snack vouchers, good for use in the hotel restaurant from 5 to 7 p.m., was a welcome bonus.
The room was large, with ample space and a jacuzzi, but it was quite noisy. The curtains were quite dusty, and many of the hooks were broken, making them difficult to close. Overall, however, the room was quite nice.
XxinxixiWe were very pleased with the room, especially having a small kitchen which was super convenient. However, I don't understand why our room wasn't cleaned on the second day when we stayed for two nights. The location here is very convenient; we walked to all the attractions. Chinatown is right next door, which satisfied our Chinese food cravings.
GGuest UserThe Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown enjoys a prime location: Located at 1415 rue St Hubert in Ville-Marie, the hotel is conveniently located within the same building as the metro, making transportation very convenient. It's close to the city center, about a 10-minute taxi ride away, and conveniently located for attractions like Place Emilie-Gamelin, Galerie de l'UQAM, and the Olympic Tower. The hotel offers comprehensive amenities, including a wonderful pool, gym, and sauna, perfect for relaxing during your trip. Rooms are well-appointed and spacious, with large bathrooms and comfortable beds, and some rooms offer stunning city views. The service is excellent. The staff are always friendly, helpful, courteous, attentive, and professional. The hotel is clean and elegant throughout, and guests have rated the cleanliness of the rooms and public areas highly. Overall, the Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown is a good value hotel for travelers visiting Montreal.
CchatujakThe location is fantastic; Chinatown is right downstairs. The room is standard for a typical North American budget hotel. The hotel parking lot gets quite full on weekends and holidays, so even though there are many spots, it can still be hard to find one.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is at a very convenient location. It’s not that new but very cozy and clean.
They have 24hrs coffee, tea, water, which is really great.
And the welcome gift (snacks) is really helpful if you arrives late but don’t want to eat outside or heavy.
GGuest UserI’ve been coming to Hotel Zero 1 for a few years, being the only hotel I book in Montreal due to its impeccable walkability. That being said, it’s unfortunate that it’s no longer shiny and new, you can really see the wear and tear over the years. If you want luxury you’re not going to find it here; however, it’s still a great place to stay for the action packed traveller who wants somewhere a bit nicer than a motel to stay. I booked knowing full well it wasn’t going to be the most amazing stay but it was not as bad as some of the Google reviews make it out to be- it’s just dated. The room was clean, check in and check out was easy, and even though the valet service is closed, the parkade they directed us to was safe and straightforward. I’d categorize this hotel as 3 stars as the amenities aren’t that great, but just know what you’re walking into, manage your expectations to that, and you will have a great stay.
It’s just kind of a shame to see a hotel that I have great memories in not keep up with maintaining the property. If they repaired the fabric on the bed, replaced the shower heads and updated with smart TVs, that would make a world of difference.
TLDR;
Pros: clean linens, cable tv, microwave and fridge in the room
Cons: dated technology, broken Roku, only one elevator for the whole building, no on site parking.

Very Good
MMarley KThis hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well.
This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyone’s tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyone’s taste palate.
I’d highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.
BBG JungThe location was great, close to Old Montreal and Chinatown. However, the hotel interior was very cramped, a big difference from the pictures I saw on the app. On the bright side, the breakfast was an excellent vegetarian meal.
