"Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at Samsun Montréal. The place is clean, well-located, and comfortable. However, a major downside was that the bedding wasn’t made up beforehand. This was quite surprising since many other hostels in Montreal, even cheaper ones, provide this as a standard service. It’s especially inconvenient when you’re on an upper bunk as it creates noise and disturbs others. It would definitely be much more comfortable if beds were prepared in advance."

LLittleMoonMoonGreat hotel with super affordable prices. They provide free breakfast, welcoming drinks and apples! What a surprise! The room is big, with comfy bed, desk, sofa…everything you need. With free parking lot as well. Better than the 4-star Hilton hotel nearby lol

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good. It is very convenient to go everywhere. There are many restaurants downstairs nearby where you can eat. There is also a large swimming pool upstairs in the hotel. There is a pool restaurant next to it where you can order food and drinks!

RRie DezThis is my third trip to Montreal, Canada and also my first time going during the winter. We stayed at the InterContinental, in the downtown area. We got a wonderful room with a great view of the city (absolutely beautiful with the snow). The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We opted to do self parking at the parking garage connected down below. We didn’t we to be exposed to the cold too long. The room was immaculate and stocked with all toiletries, several fluffy pillows and the bed was comfy. They also provided two complimentary bottled waters and free hot chocolate in the lobby (from 10 am 7 pm). I would rate this experience a 4/5, only because our room was not attended to when we requested it. We came back and the additional towels, blankets, and replacement soap were not put up. They were placed in the bathroom and on the bed around midnight when we returned (seems like the front desk dropped it off since there no one was available).

LLittleMoonMoonAs a 4-star hotel, it is so-so. The hotel looks great, with free parking lot, swimming pool and a restaurant. Very convenient. They provided welcome cookies which was delicious. Unfortunately, one important thing is missing - the toilet lid. It was shown in the photos but not in the room…Maybe I’m a bit too obsessive about cleanliness. I think it is essential as it can block most of the virus from flushing. Secondly, it’s really noisy. The check out time was 12:00 so I was still sleeping at 0800. I guessed they started cleaning at that time and the noise woke me up - and I couldn’t get back to sleep anymore. Not to mention the noise from other guests. I couldn’t clearly hear what they were talking about…The hotel should reduce the noise more efficiently. Because of the poor sleep quality, I won’t come back. The second day I changed to another Hilton hotel and it was much better.

GGuest UserThis is our second visit to the Bonaventure. Both visits we have had trouble with paying for parking, and I am now calling because I think I was billed twice. I prepaid through Trip.com, and was charged again at the hotel. That bruised a really nice visit. This was a rare family visit, and we were able to get a adjoining rooms. Hotel is located on the 10th floor “penthouse “. There is access to the underground so no need to go outside in the cold, unless you want to take a dip in the pool. A unique experience for many guests We miss placed our parking receipt and was given a voucher to give the parking attendant that never showed up. We waited 45 minutes to leave, had to go back up to the desk to explain and get another receipt. This morning I have to call the hotel because I believe I was charged again for the rooms. Front desk mixup? Probably, but

GGuest UserStaying at this hotel for the third time. It is especially recommended for those who need to take the train, because the central station is connected to the back door of the hotel. The hotel's location is within walking distance to the old town and shopping streets. The hotel bed was very comfortable.

GGuest UserThe location and staff of the hotel were great, but the facilities were very outdated. It was disappointing that when I looked out of the window, I could only see the wall, and as soon as I opened the door, the bed was right there, which was regrettable. Due to the fact that there are three hotels with the same name in downtown, it is important to double-check the address and make sure you find the correct one.

GGuest UserI’ve been coming to Hotel Zero 1 for a few years, being the only hotel I book in Montreal due to its impeccable walkability. That being said, it’s unfortunate that it’s no longer shiny and new, you can really see the wear and tear over the years. If you want luxury you’re not going to find it here; however, it’s still a great place to stay for the action packed traveller who wants somewhere a bit nicer than a motel to stay. I booked knowing full well it wasn’t going to be the most amazing stay but it was not as bad as some of the Google reviews make it out to be- it’s just dated. The room was clean, check in and check out was easy, and even though the valet service is closed, the parkade they directed us to was safe and straightforward. I’d categorize this hotel as 3 stars as the amenities aren’t that great, but just know what you’re walking into, manage your expectations to that, and you will have a great stay. It’s just kind of a shame to see a hotel that I have great memories in not keep up with maintaining the property. If they repaired the fabric on the bed, replaced the shower heads and updated with smart TVs, that would make a world of difference. TLDR; Pros: clean linens, cable tv, microwave and fridge in the room Cons: dated technology, broken Roku, only one elevator for the whole building, no on site parking.

GGuest UserThe staff were friendly and helpful. I had a strange experience in which a random girl ran into my elevator, talked to me rapidly in French and ran out. Maybe that’s because the location is downtown. But it was an easy walk to sightseeing spots. I was only staying overnight before the next plane, but I went to Chinatown and the pier, and even rode the Ferris wheel in the short time I had.
