"Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at Samsun Montréal. The place is clean, well-located, and comfortable. However, a major downside was that the bedding wasn’t made up beforehand. This was quite surprising since many other hostels in Montreal, even cheaper ones, provide this as a standard service. It’s especially inconvenient when you’re on an upper bunk as it creates noise and disturbs others. It would definitely be much more comfortable if beds were prepared in advance."

Great
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good. It is very convenient to go everywhere. There are many restaurants downstairs nearby where you can eat. There is also a large swimming pool upstairs in the hotel. There is a pool restaurant next to it where you can order food and drinks!
LLivyC75The hotel room was very spacious and well-designed with a large comfortable bed. There’s also a sauna with a beautiful view of the city skyline. The location is just north of Berri-UQAM station which makes travel convenient, although the area itself isn’t particularly safe and during the summer months, it’s clear there are a lot of individuals suffering from homelessness, addiction, and mental health struggles who use the surrounding neighbourhood parks to hang out. The hotel staff were generally helpful although there were a few times we made requests to the front desk that needed following up. The amenities in the room itself felt very well-maintained. One downside was that there was no free bottled water provided and we had to buy water from the shop in the hotel lobby, which was heavily overpriced and we thought it was a bit ridiculous considering the price we were paying for the room. Overall, would recommend as it is a cheaper hotel than others but this comes with a price in terms of area safety and amenities provided by the hotel.
LLittleMoonMoonAs a 4-star hotel, it is so-so. The hotel looks great, with free parking lot, swimming pool and a restaurant. Very convenient. They provided welcome cookies which was delicious.
Unfortunately, one important thing is missing - the toilet lid. It was shown in the photos but not in the room…Maybe I’m a bit too obsessive about cleanliness. I think it is essential as it can block most of the virus from flushing.
Secondly, it’s really noisy. The check out time was 12:00 so I was still sleeping at 0800. I guessed they started cleaning at that time and the noise woke me up - and I couldn’t get back to sleep anymore. Not to mention the noise from other guests. I couldn’t clearly hear what they were talking about…The hotel should reduce the noise more efficiently. Because of the poor sleep quality, I won’t come back. The second day I changed to another Hilton hotel and it was much better.
GGuest UserThis is our second visit to the Bonaventure. Both visits we have had trouble with paying for parking, and I am now calling because I think I was billed twice. I prepaid through Trip.com, and was charged again at the hotel.
That bruised a really nice visit. This was a rare family visit, and we were able to get a adjoining rooms.
Hotel is located on the 10th floor “penthouse “. There is access to the underground so no need to go outside in the cold, unless you want to take a dip in the pool. A unique experience for many guests
We miss placed our parking receipt and was given a voucher to give the parking attendant that never showed up. We waited 45 minutes to leave, had to go back up to the desk to explain and get another receipt. This morning I have to call the hotel because I believe I was charged again for the rooms. Front desk mixup? Probably, but

GGuest UserStaying at this hotel for the third time. It is especially recommended for those who need to take the train, because the central station is connected to the back door of the hotel. The hotel's location is within walking distance to the old town and shopping streets. The hotel bed was very comfortable.

SStephanie0310This hotel is very cost-effective among the many old hotels in MTL. The design is relatively modern, and it should be relatively new, with a more log style. The front desk attitude is also very good. The location is quite good, and it is a 10-minute walk to the old port. One thing that I think is very good is that the light-shielding effect is very good, even in the morning it will not be too bright to wake people up

GGuest UserThe room was clean and the location was excellent. I will choose this hotel next time. The front desk and downstairs security service were very good and very professional. I was impressed.
QQINGHUAThe hotel is right next to the University of Montreal, close to the Botanical Gardens and the Olympic Park. It is a few minutes walk away and the location is not bad. There are not many ideal restaurants nearby. Parking is free, with a registration for a coin. Although the hotel is like a school guest house, it is clean and tidy, with a four-star standard.
GGuest UserKarim was super helpful and attentive to our needs as soon as we walked if I ever come to Montreal again I’d like to come stay there again since they have such great prices too
GGuest UserThe staff were friendly and helpful. I had a strange experience in which a random girl ran into my elevator, talked to me rapidly in French and ran out. Maybe that’s because the location is downtown. But it was an easy walk to sightseeing spots. I was only staying overnight before the next plane, but I went to Chinatown and the pier, and even rode the Ferris wheel in the short time I had.
