"Samesun Montreal is hands-down my go-to hostel in the city. Every stay has been consistently great — welcoming staff, a fun atmosphere, and a layout that makes it easy to meet other travelers.
The rooms and common areas are always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the vibe is exactly what you want in a hostel: social but still relaxed enough to get a good night’s sleep.
Whether I’m visiting Montreal for a quick trip or a longer stay, Samesun is always my first choice. Highly recommended!"

Great
GGuest UserHampton Hotel has it all. A great place to stay, clean, comfortable, well located and welcoming, this hotel is the perfect choice for your stay. The hotel is within a short drive of local shopping and the YUL airport. Breakfast is included and it offers great choice. Thereis a microwave and small fridge in the room as well as a workspace. The blackout blind is excellent. Parking is free. I recommend it and have extended my stay!
GGuest UserIt looks like a business hotel.
There is a valet service for parking. The luggage is moved actively.
The front desk guy was considerate and put the family's room very close to each other at the beginning.
The location is very good.
However, because it is in the city, the noise from the street can be heard more clearly at night
BB-YThe hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance of many attractions, making it very convenient. The staff is warm and friendly, and deserves praise. The daily gift of drink and snack vouchers, good for use in the hotel restaurant from 5 to 7 p.m., was a welcome bonus.
The room was large, with ample space and a jacuzzi, but it was quite noisy. The curtains were quite dusty, and many of the hooks were broken, making them difficult to close. Overall, however, the room was quite nice.
MMatt88My sister and I just finished visiting my son in Toronto and we decided to visit Montreal. We booked 2 rooms.
We had a terrible experience at Royal York Fairmont . We got kicked out from the lobby lounge by Karen over there for voicing our concern for the service being slow.
For we had absolutely low expectations for QE. When we checked in there were 3 staff at the counter. 2 of them were engaged in their friendly conversation and one of them stepped up to help us. I thought that was totally unprofessional for the staff chatting among themselves in front of guests.
Rooms are basic and clean. The location is central. The staff has showed no warmth and attention. In Asia a hotel of this level will greet u warmly and the better one will remember your name.
Services at restaurants in Montreal are top notch. We visited some with long history and the staff took pride to explain to us the history. It is a shame Fairmont has some of best historic buildings in Canada and the staff showed no interest to highlight the history of the buildings.
I travelled a lot for me to earn a diamond member here. I will avoid staying at Fairmont and any of their member hotels from now on.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and the location was excellent. I will choose this hotel next time. The front desk and downstairs security service were very good and very professional. I was impressed.
GGuest UserWe loved our stay. Everyone who works here was really nice to use, and we had a great view of the city, which fun to watch the world go by. It is right across the street from China Town, and an easy walk to the Old Port and the water. Highly recommended. :-)
We said “average” amenities because it was average. Nothing over the top, but what we looking for a nice place to stay near the Old Port. We loved it!

GGuest User✅ *Great location* — very convenient and close to shops, eateries, and public transport.
✅ *Clean and comfortable room*, friendly staff, and smooth check-in/out process.
✅ Quiet environment, ideal for rest after a long day.
❗️Only minor downside: no complimentary mineral water provided in the room — would be a nice touch for guests.
Overall, still a very good experience and would consider staying again!

QQINGHUAThe hotel is right next to the University of Montreal, close to the Botanical Gardens and the Olympic Park. It is a few minutes walk away and the location is not bad. There are not many ideal restaurants nearby. Parking is free, with a registration for a coin. Although the hotel is like a school guest house, it is clean and tidy, with a four-star standard.
GGuest UserThe staff were friendly and helpful. I had a strange experience in which a random girl ran into my elevator, talked to me rapidly in French and ran out. Maybe that’s because the location is downtown. But it was an easy walk to sightseeing spots. I was only staying overnight before the next plane, but I went to Chinatown and the pier, and even rode the Ferris wheel in the short time I had.
