Very happy with my stay at this hotel. Would highly recommend and will come back to stay.
Excellent location- conveniently located central downtown and walking distance to a lot of places. Within 10min walk to Crew Cafe, Complexe Desjardins, Underground City, Eatons, Notre Dame Basilica and many great restaurants such as Monarque.
Amenities- great! The gym had decent equipment, there is an outdoor heated pool and a sauna. Lobby has a cafe and there is a restaurant and bar in building as well.
Valet parking (in and out privilege) $48/night or self parking $35/night in same building. And a grocery store “Avril” just outside the hotel.
Room- very clean and spacious! Modern design, includes slippers, very comfortable mattress with foam pillows. There is a mini bar fridge, electric kettle and a coffee machine. There is also a water dispenser in the hallway to refill your water bottles.

My sister and I just finished visiting my son in Toronto and we decided to visit Montreal. We booked 2 rooms.
We had a terrible experience at Royal York Fairmont . We got kicked out from the lobby lounge by Karen over there for voicing our concern for the service being slow.
For we had absolutely low expectations for QE. When we checked in there were 3 staff at the counter. 2 of them were engaged in their friendly conversation and one of them stepped up to help us. I thought that was totally unprofessional for the staff chatting among themselves in front of guests.
Rooms are basic and clean. The location is central. The staff has showed no warmth and attention. In Asia a hotel of this level will greet u warmly and the better one will remember your name.
Services at restaurants in Montreal are top notch. We visited some with long history and the staff took pride to explain to us the history. It is a shame Fairmont has some of best historic buildings in Canada and the staff showed no interest to highlight the history of the buildings.
I travelled a lot for me to earn a diamond member here. I will avoid staying at Fairmont and any of their member hotels from now on.

LittleMoonMoonAs a 4-star hotel, it is so-so. The hotel looks great, with free parking lot, swimming pool and a restaurant. Very convenient. They provided welcome cookies which was delicious.
Unfortunately, one important thing is missing - the toilet lid. It was shown in the photos but not in the room…Maybe I’m a bit too obsessive about cleanliness. I think it is essential as it can block most of the virus from flushing.
Secondly, it’s really noisy. The check out time was 12:00 so I was still sleeping at 0800. I guessed they started cleaning at that time and the noise woke me up - and I couldn’t get back to sleep anymore. Not to mention the noise from other guests. I couldn’t clearly hear what they were talking about…The hotel should reduce the noise more efficiently. Because of the poor sleep quality, I won’t come back. The second day I changed to another Hilton hotel and it was much better.

We reserved a more expensive king room a very long time ago, but finally we got a double bed room on our first day without any refund, what we got is only complementary breakfast, for a couple it’s extremely bad experience.
We ask for daily cleaning and I do remind the staff at the front desk before I leave the room for journey on a day, but we found that the cleaning lady forget cleaning the room and the lady pass the buck that we put the do not disturb sign at the door handler which is not the FACT!
Also we are care about safe at lobby, but we do found tramp coming lobby for a free coffee at self serve coffee machine, hotel need to address this serious problem as soon as possible, I sincerely hope the hotel can read this review seriously and understand my disappointment.

ShanqingquanlengThe location is excellent! Turn right out of the hotel and you're in Chinatown, making it super convenient for food and shopping. It's just a few hundred meters' walk to the Old Town and Old Port, and Notre-Dame de la Garde is about 300 meters straight ahead. The train station and metro station are also within walking distance. The hotel's overall environment and hygiene are good. The decor feels a bit dated, and the bathroom's ventilation system is quite noisy, as is the air conditioning when it's on. Also, for a family of three, there were no breakfast options for three people – only for two, four, or no breakfast at all. So, we didn't get to try it and can't comment on it.

Guest UserThe location is excellent. The hotel provided complimentary shuttle pick up and drop off from the airport. Friendly staff at the front desk facilitated a seamless check-in process and were very accommodating in addressing my inquiry due to delayed flights. We are hopeful to stay with them again in the future.

HKNekoThe hotel situates a bit north to the city, the nearest metro station Plamondon takes you 10-15 mins walk. Another alternative way to travel is to take bus route 17 or 160 which is downstairs of the hotel.
The hotel doesn’t look new but obviously some renovations had been done before. In contrast to those negative comments I read before, I do think that the overall service was not that bad. The breakfast provides muffin, bread with butter and jam, cereals, cornflake, milk, tea and coffee, fruits. There are staff who are on duty at counter all the time I passed by. They are quite helpful. The down sides include the floor layout of the hotel, as there are four rooms which are located at the end of the floor which takes you down 8steps and walk up a few steps again. For elders with big luggage may not be good at all. Besides the janitors use quite heavy bleaching agents to clean the restaurant and public area which creates some stinky strange smell. The interior renovation was rather coarse, air conditioning is a bit noisy. Other than that you can get what you pay for.
