HHalf Gwailo ABCOverall an enjoyable and relaxing one night stay at this tiny cosy hotel in Zhouzhuang, for our final leg of our 6 days Suzhou trip. We took a didi over to Zhouzhuang, which was faster and cheaper than I expected, just a little over half an hour.
The hotel staff called me the day before to arrange for pick-up near the watertown ticket office. Actually I can't speak Mandarin and their English wasn't too good but we ended up chatting on Wechat as Wechat has a built-in translate function in their chat.
So, 15 minutes before we arrive, we just had to let them know on Wechat. And the staff is already waiting for us, helped us with the luggage and guided us through the ticket buying process.
You do have to pay for the ¥100 RMB ticket to get into the watertown and the ticket is good for 3 days. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the entrance.
I picked this hotel because it was right inside the watertown and it had the ancient Chinese interior, although all the amenities are modern, including a robust and high-tech Kohler smart toilets in each bathroom.
There is a nice coffee shop inside the hotel and the coffee shop owner is friendly and takes his coffee craft seriously. The hotel gives you 2 free drinks during your stay and the coffee menu is quite extensive. If the hotel rooms are not booked on that day, we are told the hotel opens their doors to coffee customers.
The hotel owner is actually younger than I expected so I am impressed she meticulously created this authentic experience and the attention to detail. She was friendly and helpful and was open to accommodating our needs.
We booked the entire 2nd floor, which was 3 bedrooms and we had 6 adults in our group. This tiny hotel only has 3 bedrooms so if you booked all 3 rooms, you pretty much get the entire hotel to yourselves which include the first floor which is spacious and comfy.
When I visit Zhouzhuang again, I am looking forward to stay here again. It's certainly not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - which is people passionate about hospitality (in a Chinese way) and also a hygiene and staying experience that is certainly up to international standards.

LLucie PikeI don’t think I could ever give this hotel enough praise. The rooms were beautiful as was the location and scenery. Cleanliness was a 10 out of 10, but what especially amazed me was how friendly and diligent the staff were. They were so kind, offering me free fruit and other snacks. One staff member gave me restaurant recommendations. I plan on staying here again in the future and would recommend it to any solo travelers or couples looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

GGuest UserIt is the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. Not only the environment is good, but the attitude of the front desk service is also very friendly. The whole room is controlled by voice, smart screen, automatic curtain projection, wireless charger on the bedside table, the most surprising thing to me is the smart toilet, this price is really affordable, and there are three days of breakfast, lunch and dinner, especially Thoughtful, I will definitely come here again next time I come to Kunshan.

Additionally, the hotel's modern decor and thoughtful amenities added to the enjoyable stay. Overall, it was a great place to relax and unwind.

GGuest UserI was very pleased with my B&B. From the decor and the customer service, it's top-notch in my opinion. The room was spotless, even the balcony chairs were cleaned. The bathroom was fully Kohler, with an unexpected Hansgrohe shower. I didn't get a close look at the mattress, but it felt like a King Koil-quality one, and quite comfortable. The location is great, about a three-minute walk from the Twin Bridges. You can sit at the bridgehead until 9pm, watching the cruise ships slowly dissipate, and then return home later. Speaking of the service, the housekeeper was very welcoming and warm, something not many people can offer. In short, I'll see you next time I visit Zhouzhuang.

GGuest UserGreat location for Zhouzhuang, zhouzhuang itself is magical. A welcoming very friendly lady came outside to greet us. She gave us a map and was always willingy helpful when asked which places to visit and where best to eat. And her suggestions were always spot on, the restaurant from where I had the fish, which was unique and delicious. We were lucky, i feel we had a free guide with us. Also very spacious and clean room, perfect shower and bathroom.

Room: The small view of the riverside in the morning sun, from morning to night, is not heavy, but it is always quiet...
It is good to enjoy the small village on weekdays.
Delicious snacks: I recommend the small noodle restaurant on the main road from the homestay. There is an ice cream cabinet at the door. The elbow flower noodles are too fragrant! 32 bowls

YYOONHAI arrived at 8 p.m., but they picked me up at the parking lot after I dropped off my taxi, making it a comfortable stay.
It was almost right past the ticket office, which was really convenient if you have a lot of luggage.
The room was spacious and clean, and the terrace offered a beautiful view.
It was hot in the middle of summer, so I couldn't stay outside for long, but I think it would be nice to have tea in the spring and fall.
The air conditioning worked well.
When I took a taxi back to Shanghai, they even took me to the taxi stand, so I was able to enjoy the ride comfortably even in the blazing sun.
This was my second visit to Zhouzhang, but I felt so comfortable and relaxed that I'd like to come back again, alone, and stay a day or two.

♍♍️RachelFacilities: Exactly the same as the pictures shown, the difference is that they are a little older than the pictures. The air conditioner is very powerful. It is recommended that there be a partition between the shower and toilet in this bathroom. Even if you draw a shower curtain, it is a bit cold to take a shower with the air conditioner on in early April. After all, there is no air conditioner in the bathroom. And in this case, after taking a shower, I can’t control the water that will be brought into the room, making it wet (¯―¯٥)
Environment: It is only 200 to 300 meters away from the scenic spot, and the location is excellent! We almost got up early in the morning to go to the scenic spot to eat a bowl of noodles, and we could also go shopping and have coffee before coming back in the evening, which was great👍🏻
Hygiene: I arrived at the store after ten o'clock. I was unlucky and met a family who was sleeping in. They went out to have breakfast at eleven fifty. They sat in the yard and waited until twelve twenty before checking out. The aunt cleaned it and we hurried in. After resting, the smell of smoke was very strong in the room when the door was opened. It took five minutes to open the window to ventilate and it got better. Nowadays, most hotels have a 14:00 check-in policy, which is really a headache!
Service: The bosses were very considerate. They were waiting on the roadside when we were about to arrive and even left a parking space. Thank you!
Summary: A very cost-effective B&B where you can stay for a few more days if you have time! If you don’t go out for a walk, just sit on the sofa and watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening. It’s quite pleasant (*＾ー＾)
