PPipajiKicking off our spring break, we headed south through Guilin, Yangshuo, Nanning, and Beihai. Yangshuo Wangjianglou Inn was by far the most comfortable and convenient place we stayed. The inn's design and layout exceeded my expectations; the quality was truly impressive. Given the limitations of the building itself, they ingeniously installed a luggage elevator, which was incredibly thoughtful for both guests and staff – big thumbs up! Yangshuo county is quite small, so there's really no need to stay directly in the scenic area (it's inconvenient, overpriced, and you'd need taxis for meals and transportation, adding to costs). Staying in the West Street commercial district was a very smart decision. We stayed and ate at Wangjianglou (for those who know, their restaurant is a super popular, must-try spot in Yangshuo with long queues!). As a guest, you don't have to wait; the front desk concierge helps with reservations directly, and you even get a 10% discount on meals, which is a fantastic deal. I'm already planning to bring my family back after May Day and will definitely be staying at Wangjianglou again!

BBeizhuyixiabaThe location is excellent, very close to the 20-yuan Lijiang River scenic pier. The environment is clean and tidy, and the room is very spacious. The service attitude is superb. I booked for two nights and was supposed to check out by 12 PM on the third day. However, on the second night, my child was hit by a car and transferred to Guilin Hospital. It wasn't until the evening of the third day that my husband had time to go check out and pack our luggage. The owner kept the room for us and didn't rush us to check out at all. The owner is a truly compassionate person; they repeatedly inquired about my child's condition, didn't charge us for the late checkout, and even gave my child a red envelope. For this booking, the owner truly went above and beyond, practically losing money. Such big-hearted owners are truly rare. I wish the owner a prosperous business and abundant wealth. Thank you for your immense kindness.

MMarcia PrescottIf you are in this area, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. It was a great experience. The feeling is very rustic and feels old. But really really awesome. The people there can speak English really well. They took good care of us and made sure that we had everything we needed. Breakfast was included and we had an option for an American breakfast. It was kind of nice after we'd been in China for so long. There's a lot of amazing scenery nearby. And a few little shops. There is a hike up to Moon Hill which is awesome and not very far.

This time, I stayed at the Weiboo Mountain Villa Hotel (Yangshuo West Street Branch), which perfectly balanced convenience and tranquility. The value for money was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Yangshuo.
The hotel's location is absolutely prime, situated at No. 36 North Road, Yangshuo County. It's just a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of West Street's commercial area, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and enjoying a drink at a bar. Yet, it manages to avoid the street's hustle and bustle, offering a wonderfully peaceful experience amidst the vibrancy. Transportation around the hotel is also incredibly convenient; you can walk to the Li River, ride an electric scooter to the Ten-Mile Gallery in about 15 minutes, and it's not far from Xingping Ancient Town or the Impression Liu Sanjie scenic area. It's ideal for both independent travelers and families.
Stepping into the hotel, I was immediately captivated by its New Chinese style. The ground floor features a traditional Chinese courtyard with beautiful bonsai and a pond, creating a misty, ethereal atmosphere perfect for photos. The public area also has a tatami tea room that offers complimentary coffee and tea, making it a delightful spot to relax, sip tea, and chat. The most surprising feature was the 800-square-meter sky garden on the 5th floor, boasting a 360-degree observation deck and an Instagram-worthy infinity pool. With Yangshuo's iconic karst landscapes as the backdrop, you can watch the Li River sunset on a clear day or admire the mountain mist on a rainy day. Every picture taken here turns out stunning; my friends couldn't stop snapping photos. In the evening, they even host open-air movie screenings here, which, combined with the gentle breeze, creates an incredible ambiance.
The room decor was equally impressive. The minimalist yet tasteful interiors are complemented by large, bright windows. Some room types even come with a scenic balcony and a separate bathtub, allowing you to enjoy the green mountains and waters while bathing. Our mountain-view king room was spacious and impeccably clean. The smart home features were very convenient to use, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a restful night's sleep. For families, the duplex panoramic king room is perfect, featuring a private viewing terrace and a swing, spacious enough for the whole family to gather.
The thoughtful service was evident in every detail. The front desk staff were cheerful and enthusiastic, happy to answer all our travel questions, and even helped us book tickets and plan our itinerary. The hotel thoughtfully provides free electric scooter rentals – the pink and green scooters are super eye-catching on the road, and riding them to the Yulong River for rafting or through the Ten-Mile Gallery was incredibly enjoyable. The breakfast was truly generous, offering Guilin rice noodles, assorted grains, eggs, fruits, and soy milk – all plentiful and delicious, providing a perfect start to the day's adventures. Additionally, there's a children's play area, self-service laundry, and luggage storage, making it stress-free for those traveling with kids.
For just over 100 RMB per person, you can stay in a scenic room and enjoy so many high-quality services – the value for money is truly exceptional. Whether it's a romantic getaway, a trip with friends, or a family vacation, this hidden gem of a hotel nestled among the mountains and rivers will meet your needs. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Yangshuo!

LLost_in_the_JungleWe were seeking a peaceful getaway from the city for a few days in the mountains of Yangshuo, and this place really lived up to its name!
The view from our balcony was spectacular, no photo can really capture how the lush green mountains rise up all around you!
Our room was so clean and open and spacious, with lots of drawers and cabinets and places to hang your things. The bed linens were silky soft and comfortable, and the towels are nice, too.
Our room was really so comfortable, that when it was raining we just lazed about in our room, napping on the daybed, watching movies on the big TV, or reading in the bath.
Speaking of the bath, honestly the most epic view from a tub that I have ever experienced!
When it was too hot and humid in the day, we lounged in the crystal blue pool- what a treat to swim in the cool water with the mountains all around you!
When we felt like exploring beyond the village, we were able to rent e-bikes right there for a great price, it was so convenient.
They have a buffet Chinese breakfast in the morning, and the Guilin rice noodle was delish and so authentic. We also loved the homemade soymilk, it was so good, even my husband who doesn't really like soymilk kept drinking it!
We enjoyed the modern zen feel of the hotel, its very calming with water features, and little garden features everywhere.
Most of all, the location of the hotel is really special, you are in the back of an old traditional village, making it sooooo quiet, so peaceful. No noisy tourists to be seen anywhere!!! The staff was friendly and chill and helpful.
But, when we wanted to go out for a treat, we would just walk a few steps into the center of the village where there are some really lovely coffee shops in ancient garden courtyards, and we would eat at one of our favorite restaurants, the Secret Garden Cafe, which has yummy Chinese and Western food.
We can't wait to come back and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a restful escape from the hustle and bustle.

YYangxiaoyangdezhuanshuhaoThe location is fantastic, right by the Yulong River in the Ten-Mile Gallery, and super close to the Shuiaodi Pier – just a few minutes' walk, making getting around incredibly convenient. The room was clean and tidy, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window that offered breathtaking views of the mountains and rice paddies as soon as you opened it, which was incredibly soothing to look at. The bedding was soft, ensuring a very comfortable sleep, and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom for a really enjoyable shower. The service was also thoughtful; any issues were resolved promptly, and they even offered recommendations for touring routes. There's also a pool in the courtyard, and the whole environment is quiet and pleasant. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay.

YYouguainixianshangThis is the perfect place to stay in Yangshuo with kids! The public areas are so beautiful, you'll be snapping photos non-stop.
We stayed in the ocean ball family room with a washing machine, and it was absolutely fantastic. As soon as we entered, the kids dove into the ball pit and played like crazy all day, completely burning off their energy. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning mountain views; you don't even need filters for amazing photos. The courtyard fountain and white archways with the karst mountains in the background create a natural 'photo frame' that captures the scenery beautifully. Every photo you take is a heartwarming family shot.
The room comes with a washing machine, so you can easily wash dirty clothes – a real lifesaver when traveling with kids. Plus, the whole room has smart voice control, so lazy parents can just kick back and relax.
The public areas are incredibly beautiful: a courtyard, fountains, and an infinity pool.
There's also a 'sky mirror' and mountain view photo spots where you won't stop taking pictures.
It's within walking distance to the Yulong River bamboo raft pier, making travel super convenient.
During the day, we enjoyed a bamboo raft ride on the Yulong River and cycled along the Ten-Mile Gallery. In the evening, we'd return to the guesthouse to relax and enjoy the mountain views while the kids had a blast in the ball pit. This is exactly what family travel should be like!

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts stylish decor and spotlessly clean rooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our trip comfortable and convenient. A special highlight was the rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking panoramic views of West Street. We were also pleasantly surprised when the bar staff offered us complimentary drinks. Highly recommended!

LlinhozIt was a nice stay and the location of the hotel is very practical. There are a few strong points and a lot of improvements that can be done. We were a group of 5 friends staying in one room together that wasn’t in the main building (Building B)
Improvements:
- the toilet is basically a wet room, there is no separation between the shower and the rest of the toilet. It would’ve been okay, but the drain for the shower wasn’t working so unless you were showering first, I you would enter a flooded bathroom making the toilet experience very uncomfortable
- We also arrived at 15:46 and the check-in starts at 14:00, however when we arrived, the room wasn’t ready. It kinda sucks, because we were really tired and wanted to rest, but we didn’t have the room. The hotel did send in an extra cleaning lady, but considering how empty the place was since it wasn’t a travelling season, it would’ve been nice if the place was ready for 14:00
- The hotel is empty. Since we weren’t staying at the main building, there was no one at our front desk. It didn’t really bother us, but I can see why this can be a safety concern for others. However the area is quite safe
Good points:
- The staff is very helpful and they answer quick if you reach out to them on WeChat. They even have discounts to the dance show. They also offer a shuttle service back to Guilin for 45rmb/person
- the location is insanely good, less than 5min walk away from the Main Street. There is a lot of good restaurants around too
- there’s a terrace with a very nice view that was very practical
- the breakfast is in building B and offers a few option as well as noodles which were really delicious. Breakfast hours also last until 10:30 which is later than usual and that was really nice
Overall the experience was pleasing even tho it started on a bad foot. It felt like a mix of a hostel and hotel experience in a good way
