The service, in particular, was exceptional. The staff at August are incredibly attentive and not only warm and welcoming but also frequently share climbing tips and experiences with guests, creating a truly homely atmosphere.
A special highlight is that it's also pet-friendly, so travelers with pets can confidently choose this spot.
Furthermore, the rooms are immaculately clean and tidy. Every detail reflects a strict adherence to hygiene, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay.
The location was a smart choice this time around. While not directly on West Street, its setting provides a welcome escape from the crowds and noise, offering a more peaceful and pleasant experience. The area has a rich local vibe, and getting around without traffic is surprisingly convenient. Plus, being close to the old town not only makes it easy for locals to visit but also allows tourists to more easily explore the local culture and lifestyle.

I had an incredibly cozy and memorable stay just steps away from bustling West Street. The room was clean, comfortable, and came with a lovely balcony offering serene mountain views—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Daily housekeeping kept everything spotless, and all the basic amenities were thoughtfully provided.
One of the highlights was the coffee shop conveniently located right downstairs—ideal for a morning pick-me-up or a relaxing afternoon break. But what truly made the stay special was the owner. She speaks fluent English, so communication was smooth and easy. As someone who doesn’t plan much in advance, I found her local guidance absolutely invaluable. She mapped out routes and recommended hidden gems that made my trip unforgettable.
She’s also a talented painter! The beautiful cards you’ll spot at the reception desk or in the bathroom are her own hand-drawn creations—such a lovely personal touch that adds character to the place.
If you’re a cat enthusiast, prepare to be delighted—they have a whole feline family that adds a warm, homey vibe to the property. 🐱
A minor note: the room’s proximity to the main road means it can get a bit noisy in the evenings or early mornings. Personally, it didn’t bother me much—after a full day riding the scooter I rented from them for just 30 RMB, I slept like a baby.
Also worth mentioning: this is the perfect spot for travelers who prefer peace and quiet over nightlife. It’s close enough to the action for convenience, but far enough to enjoy restful evenings.
Overall, this spot is a fantastic blend of comfort, convenience, and character. Highly recommended for laid-back travelers, art lovers, and cat fans alike!

22morrowsworldRelatively cheap accommodation with window/balcony facing karst mountain, and just 100m from the Li River. Some nice Thai themed embellishments decorate the rooms. Bed is only a small 'double' and has one useable powerpoint near bed right side + light controls. Aircon works well (only small room so to be expected). Overall, OK for 100 RMB per night, but does have a few issues.
Booked the 'special promotion' room. Trip.com indicates a room size of 12m square metres, which is incorrect. I measured it at 9.5 square, including the bathroom. If including the small balcony (2.5 sq m), the total room area is 12m best case. Only large enough for single occupancy, with small amount of luggage. Two people would need to climb over eachother to move around. No where near enough space for two - luggage would need to be kept outside on the balcony!
Hot water works but is not properly calibrated. Either boiling hot or freezing cold. Extremely difficult to find the right temperature to shower with any comfort. I put full hot, and waited. Water got super hot after 40 seconds. Adjusted to reduce by setting at middle between hot/cold, but water temperature remained super hot. Then pushed to full cold. Water temperature transitioned to cold 29 seconds later. Then put back to middle position but water remained dead cold. Tested this both ways for at least 4 minutes each and remained either scolding hot or freezing cold!!
Hotel provides signs to indicate desire to 'please clean room' and I hang this on outer door handle for two days, but to no avail So can only assume the owners don't provide this service. This establishment is only rated as a 2 star hotel, and given the low price point, you really can't complain - on the condition that the tariff is low. Acceptable for 100 -120 RMB per night. Unacceptable for much more than this though.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolutely Fantastic Stay - Made My Yangshuo Trip!
I just had to write a review for this wonderful hotel. My stay here was absolutely perfect, largely thanks to one person.
First off, the location is ideal. It's located very near West Street, which made it incredibly convenient to grab food, check out the party scene, and easily hail a DiDi. You're right in the heart of the action without being in a noisy building.
The room itself was so cozy and comfortable. After a long day of exploring, the hot shower was a lifesaver, and I appreciated that they provided complete toiletries—one less thing to worry about packing!
Now, for the highlight of my stay: the guy at the reception. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. He truly went above and beyond to help me. One evening, he even sat down with me over a cup of tea and helped me plan my itineraries, offering fantastic local tips. He arranged carpooling services for me, which made getting to the various sights so much easier and more affordable.
My entire stay in Yangshuo was smoother and more enjoyable because of him. That guy is 1000% great! Kudos to him and to the hotel for having such a fantastic employee.
I can't recommend this place highly enough!

GGuest UserI really liked the hotel, the people at the reception were very friendly and helpful, the room was very nice and cozy, very clean, the air conditioning worked very well, and the automatic toilet and hairdryer were definitely a plus. They also had a free washing machine and dryer, and even laundry detergent!
The hotel was very conveniently located, and the location was great, as if you were living on West Street, everything was close but still on a quiet street.
I stayed for 2 nights and I was very comfortable there, the only thing is that as you can see in the second photo, there is a building being built right in front of it, I slept until 10 am on the first day and everything was quiet, but the next day they woke me up at 8 in the morning on Sunday!! which was definitely unpleasant!

Ccatcat168Xishihuashe is a comfortable hotel, and each room has its own unique design! The hygiene is good and the environment is quiet. Sitting on the hammock and looking at the beautiful scenery outside the window is very relaxing!
It is highly recommended that you go bamboo rafting on the Yulong River, rent a tram to visit the Shili Gallery, visit the Xingping Ancient Town Observation Deck for 20 yuan, and go to Yitian West Street to eat beer fish!

GGal2020As a former tourism practitioner, I have stereotypes about Yangshuo that have accumulated over the years: tourist-oriented, commercialized, and a rip-off university. It wasn't until I wanted to try rock climbing that I decided to check it out. It turns out that the off-season for ordinary tourists is the peak season for rock climbers. Look for the Rock Climbing Inn on Xiaohongshu. This is the only one located in the Yulong River Scenic Area. I'm glad I chose it instead of the noisy and monotonous West Street. There is a delicious country bakery, a car rental company and Meiyajia at the door. The rooms are clean and spacious, the public areas are spacious, the small courtyard is lovely, there is a free bouldering wall, a beautiful boss who will give you professional guidance and her even more beautiful mother - we even had a sumptuous dinner she cooked 🍲.
It is recommended to stay in a high-rise room with a balcony, which is suitable for rock climbing enthusiasts, parents and children, people with pets, friends, families and other types of travel.

AAnnuobushiwangfeiSo lucky to have booked such a great hotel! It really made me feel at home in an unfamiliar place. The hotel environment is lovely and comfortable, and the hygiene is excellent. It's also very conveniently located, just a short walk around the corner to the Yulong River Pathway. We stayed for four days, and the owners, a lovely couple, helped us plan our itinerary, saving us a lot of trouble on our mother-and-son trip. They even told us about the local market and lent us their kitchen to cook some rare mountain produce. We are truly so grateful! We'll definitely be back if we have the chance; this will be our go-to spot whenever we visit Yangshuo.

AAnonymous UserThis is kind of disappointed experience. First of all, one of the toilet couldn't flush and needed two nights to repair, which I only stay there for three nights. It took so long to repair was because the staff made the mistake on the room (there are two rooms in this suite).
Second, one of the air-conditioner was not cool at all and only half of it functioned. It didn't repair during our stay. You can imagine how uncomfortable and hot at the room when everyday is above 30 degree Celsius.
Lastly, the room cleaning service really confused me. The staff will only clean your room only when you tell the reception you need the cleaning service every morning. This is not a big problem but the problem is NONE of the staff, including the staff during my check in or the staff on duty in the morning, told me that I have to do so to get the room cleaning service.
Except the unsatisfying service, tbh, the view of the room is great and balcony is really spacious. It was a little bit sad that we could't enjoy it too much due to hot weather. It does deserve to have a stay if you want to enjoy the view.
