MMrWong888After traveling extensively in China, returning to Spain highlighted some noticeable differences, particularly in Madrid. While the city and its infrastructure may feel a bit outdated compared to other global hubs, the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá was a decent and comfortable place to stay.
The hotel’s location is its strongest feature—it’s directly across from Chamartín Train Station and its adjacent subway station. While the train station and subway facilities are not the most modern or impressive, the convenience of being so close to transportation hubs is a definite plus. The street leading to the hotel is a bit unusual, set on a slope, but it’s manageable.
The room was clean and functional, though slightly dated. The beds were comfortable, albeit with older spring mattresses that could use an upgrade. Despite the slightly worn feel, the room provided a comfortable space to rest after a day of exploring or work.
The standout feature of this hotel was undoubtedly the breakfast. It was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to different tastes. It was easily the highlight of my stay and set a great tone for the day.
The service was also pleasant and friendly, which is a nice touch, especially given the sometimes lackluster service standards in Spain. The staff were helpful and made the stay more enjoyable.
Overall, while the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá may not be the most modern or luxurious option, it offers good value for its location, a comfortable stay, and an exceptional breakfast. If you’re looking for a convenient and reliable place to stay near Chamartín Station, this hotel is a solid choice.
SShra124I really like the location of the hotel. It's very friendly very near to the main attractions of the city. I like the food which is available there in the drinks that are freshly made and served. The hotel rooms are very clean and it is all well maintained. There's always someone available at the reception. It is like 24 hours availability. For any person, so in case of anything, you can just go in, check with them

GGuest UserGreat location, very nice breakfast, there is also a Starbucks right outside the enterance which is nice. Literally a two minute walk to Gran Via street where you can find anything you could possibly need. The staff was polite, the rooms were clean and very quiet at least on the 5th floor :) Overall would recommend and come back again. Gracias Madrid!

JJosephI will not stay at this hotel again. I stayed one night, which was plenty. The main issue with this hotel is that the walls are extremely thin. I could hear all of my neighbors, even though they were speaking in regular conversational voices. Additionally, the door handles are very loose, resulting in me feeling like my belongings were not that safe inside my room.
GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit far from the airport, but they offer a free shuttle service. You need to pay attention to the schedule and pick-up/drop-off locations. From the airport to the hotel, you can just hop on the shuttle directly. However, in the morning when heading back to the airport, you'll need to get a ticket from the front desk first. The shuttle runs infrequently, so if you miss it, you'll have to take a taxi. Otherwise, it's a standard Ibis, pretty much what you'd expect.
CCindyTsangWe took a ferry from Barcelona and arrived at the hotel around 7 am. The hotel was so friendly that we were allowed to buy an extra buffet breakfast for €14 (trip said its €12) and stay in the comfortable lounge for our room until check-in time. Lastly, we were given a room an hour earlier, but somehow, we saw that the cleaners were cleaning every room. Besides bedding, our room wasn't thoroughly cleaned and well prepared.
The room is always dim. The window is enormous; no stop is provided to stop the window from being blown by the wind. The bedroom carpet is full of stains and smelly, even the one along the corridor. The cleanliness is poor.
No pantry in the room. It took them 4-5 hours to bring the kettle and the tea bags. Toilet paper is not refilled every day, you need to get it on your own at the lobby reception.
The quality of hotel buffet, breakfast the comfortness of the louge and the location is unbeatable. 2mins to the estacion and 6mins to the town center. We took an autobus to Soller for a day trip.

GGuest UserWe as a family 2+1 (4 yrs old) missed nothing. Good rooms for the price, sufficiently equipped kitchen for 1-2 nights. I liked the vending machines where you can get coffee, water or a sandwich. If you need more there is a Shell petrol station 5 min away by walk or a huge mall (Plenilunio) with a Mercadona supermarket and many food spots.
Good option for transit passengers travelling via Barajas airport in Madrid, better option than some run-down places in the Barajas district next to the airport IMO, although it would be great to have some kind of airport transfer organized by the hotel for an extra fee. If there is one, I was not informed by any means. There is no real direct connection from/to the airport. From the airport cost us 15 EUR with Uber. To the airport it was 8 EUR.
Remark/what can be done better: Cafeteria personel did not understand a basic order in English for ”black tea”. I mean this was absolutely not a sophisticated order.
WWei Kion• The bed was very comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep.
• The air conditioning did not have heating, but the blanket was thick enough to keep warm; the temperature that night was around 13°C.
• The room was very spacious—enough to fully open two large suitcases on the floor with plenty of space left to walk around.
• The bathroom included a hairdryer.
• The shower drain seemed slightly clogged, causing slow drainage; we had to keep the water pressure low while showering.
• No drinking water was provided in the room, but the front desk informed us that the tap water from the bathroom sink is safe to drink.
• There was no kettle in the room, but you can request hot water from the front desk—they kindly provided it from the cafeteria free of charge.
• Although the hotel is not located right in the tourist center and isn’t within short walking distance to major attractions, it has excellent transport links: there are both a bus stop and a metro station right outside and around the corner.
• It’s very convenient whether you’re arriving from Atocha Station or heading to key destinations like Madrid Royal Palace, Moncloa Bus Terminal (for Segovia express), Plaza Eliptica (for Toledo express), or Estacion de Autobuses Madrid Sur (for Porto overnight bus).
• The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On the day of check-out, we left our luggage there for free while we visited Toledo. When we returned around 6:00 PM, they even provided hot water for our instant noodles. We rested in the cafeteria for a few hours before heading to catch our overnight bus to Porto.
• Their assistance made our trip much smoother and more comfortable.
BBeishangdaokuqidebingxiangOverall it was satisfactory, but except for the episode when I checked in. This hotel has no front desk, all by phone or WhatsApp. But I didn't say anything before I checked in. And I needed a password to enter the room, and I didn't receive it. Contacted the hotel customer service, uploaded the passport photo to receive 😅 In addition to this, the overall is very good, the location is very convenient, about 8 minutes to go out is the subway station, taxi can also be called

GGuest UserThe location is perfect, because it is next to Gran Vía, as for the facilities, the beds are very uncomfortable, the shower is small and without a screen, so when you wash your hair all the water comes out and you wet a towel.
