Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation, very close to both the subway and bus stations. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, artfully designed, tidy, and clean. Downstairs, in Plaza de España, you'll find statues of Don Quixote and Cervantes, figures familiar to Chinese people. Just a small heads-up: the Nespresso capsules come with a charge. Also, while many highly-rated tapas restaurants downstairs on platforms like Xiaohongshu offer generous portions, the taste is quite ordinary. What impressed me most was how incredibly nice, thoughtful, and attentive all the staff were. I'll definitely choose Vp Plaza again on my next visit to Madrid!

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It was next to the train station which helped us get to the train quickly. However it is a ways from the downtown area with shopping and palace,, Taxi is needed. The staff in the bar area was very friendly. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Good Wi Fi. Highly recommended.
WWojiaotuyuI booked the hotel a month in advance, and they kept sending confirmation emails closer to the due date, asking about my dining preferences, etc. The service was excellent; they usually sent emails in both Chinese and English. I booked the hotel for my boss, and he gave it a good review!
UUin WilliamNice, clean and SIMPLE hotel rooms, so don't expect detail, elegance, luxury or ”cosy”. Even the better rooms are just rooms, bed, desk, chair, lights. No rug or carpet. Nice bathroom!
Now, View was spectacular from a specific room, and amenities are really great. Gym doesn't have a tower or chinup/pullup/dip capability. Pool is indoor so all weather conditions. Sauna was so nice. Very impressive actually, with a view...
Service was great!
Coffee shockingly BAD.
TTTTFreeflyThe hotel's location and staff service were excellent. It was very convenient to get to the palace, old town, and various restaurants. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including Chinese, Japanese, Western cuisine, as well as many pubs and cafes. A department store is just a 5-minute walk away for shopping. The hotel facilities are very automated and new. However, the space layout is a bit impractical: the bathroom door blocks the toilet door from opening fully, and the wardrobe is completely open-concept with only one shelf, a single hanging rod, and two drawers. One of the drawers is mostly taken up by the safe. Long coats and dresses cannot be hung vertically. I suggest the hotel move the ironing board from the hanging area to the bathroom, as it currently takes up valuable hanging space. The bar and terrace are fantastic, with great space and location. You can enjoy beautiful Madrid sunsets and evening glow from there.

Great
GGustianoWent to meet a friend at their cafe and was very impressed with the black and gold colour scheme throughout the lobby and the cafe area.
The cafe has a nice seating layout with very comfortable sofa’s and some decent arm chairs.
The service is also second to none & the coffee was really nice. It also was rather reasonably priced considering the location.
Would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area :)
GGuest UserThe hotel is perfect!
The breakfast is superb, the menu is delicious and varied.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, the location is superb!!!! We walked all day! Everything is close to the hotel.
The only downside is that the large towels smell awful! It's as if they were washed and left wet for a long time; they've gone rancid and smell really bad. We need to throw them out and buy new ones.
We'll definitely be back! A great hotel.

GGuest UserIf I had known the suite would have a sofa bed and two single beds, I wouldn't have booked it.
The cleanliness and environment were quite good. The room was spacious, and there was a large supermarket a few hundred meters away. The microwave was very convenient.
I asked room service for a bottle opener, and they charged me 6 euros. I later returned it. Remember, delivery to the room costs money, but picking it up at the front desk downstairs is free.
MM ChuahWe stayed at The Madrid Edition while celebrating my friend’s 40th birthday in Spain, and it was the perfect choice for the trip. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special and well thought out.
The hotel kindly surprised us with complimentary cava and a birthday cake, which was such a lovely touch and made the celebration even more memorable. We had also requested a flower arrangement in advance, and it was done beautifully—exactly as we had hoped.
The location is another huge advantage. The hotel sits right in the middle of the city, making it extremely convenient to walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping areas. It made exploring Madrid effortless.
What truly stood out was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The only small downside was the room ambience lighting felt a little too dim at times. Aside from that minor detail, everything—from the lobby and facilities to the rooms—was excellent.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend The Madrid Edition to anyone visiting Madrid, especially for a special occasion.

GGuest UserThe central location cannot be beat. The hotel feels recently renovated or at least in very good condition. Staff friendly and check in was smooth. There is a good sized, well equipped gym in the basement and a must visit rooftop bar to begin the evening. Despite being central the rooms are well sound insulated, no noticeable noise disruption. I recommend this Hotel and would gladly stay again. The bell staff did a great job on luggage storage and ordering a taxi, etc.
