Jjames nickallsIt’s a family of four we hired the room with two bunks and this worked pretty well! Everything was clean and tidy. The location was great 1 road off the beach and close to several stores and eateries. We really enjoyed the vibe that the generator offered but certainly recommend to someone wanting a short stay in Miami

GGuest UserExcellent hostel with a fantastic location, and for minimal money too! The staff are friendly and genuinely always ready to help. The rooms are clean, with daily housekeeping, and the beds and their ladders are sturdy. There's a hot water dispenser near the pool (next to the washing machines).

GGuest UserOverall pretty decent hotel in a great location. For the price, you get what you pay for, the room was in decent condition. The entrance definitely should be more visible as it was hard to find the place… Parking was not ideal as they suggest you park in a paid parking lot $40 a day that’s a 6 min walk from the actual hotel. The rooms were very pretty though and clean, and the service was friendly! Only complaint really is the lack of counter/storage in the ADA king bed room… there is a single sink that you would find in a powder room, with no counter or cabinets. Wasn’t too expensive especially given the close location, so would come back to this hotel. Also, I would say that I wouldn’t visit if you’re looking for a quieter stay as the walls are pretty thin and there were definitely some rowdy late night guests. Thats many places in SoBe though, so was expecting as much.

CChennanjinThe location is absolutely fantastic! It's not one single building, but rather spread out like a district. If your room isn't facing the street, it's actually completely quiet. You can just step out and find the most charming street-side restaurants. The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, and there are some really great coffee shops nearby (especially the one with avocado toast!). The room was a bit small for a large suitcase, and the water pressure for the shower on the first floor was a bit low. Oh, and there's no heating. Despite these points, I still really liked it. Finally, it's self-check-in, so if you have any issues, make sure to contact them via email right away, because there's genuinely no one on site. It's easy to just stand outside feeling confused, but a quick call will clear things right up.

JJhylle MararacStaying in Penguin Hotel is very convenient since it is really closed by at the Beach and nearby outlets. However, when we were checking in the lady who assisted us didn’t explained well the informations. And every night there’s no front desk. But overall stay it’s really good the free breakfast was really good I will definitely recommend.

GGuest UserReally disappointed with this hotel. Be careful with your credit cards, they make unjustified bank charges. They charged me parking fees even though I don't have a car and they were really rude and unconcerned about my complaint. They even hung up on me when I called them on the phone.

GGuest UserThe gentleman at the front desk was on his first day and was absolutely on point for a brand new employee as well as extremely polite. Check in was quick and the manager helped expedite the hotel keys. Overall great experience start to finish

GGuest UserService was good except when we called to have someone take as look at the door that wasn’t locking and we needed to leave soon. I had to go downstairs after the call we made and waited a long time for my turn. Finally when it was my turn
the person told me he knew about the door but hadn’t been able to check so I told him to change my room because we were running late, and he did.
There were no toiletries at all whatsoever.
The parking is too expensive. As with other hotels, motels and inns etc, it should be included.
Other than that the first person to was extraordinary nice and helped me out.
