On June 28, 2026, at 7:00 AM, after a high-speed train and a slower 'green-skin' train journey, we finally arrived at the Golmud Huanghe International Hotel. The friendly front desk lady warmly welcomed us and quickly processed our check-in. She even thoughtfully gave us two breakfast vouchers and advised us to rest well at the hotel after eating to acclimatize to the high altitude, rather than engaging in strenuous activities right away. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for dining and shopping. It also has its own parking lot, which is very friendly for self-driving tourists. The guest rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and hygienic, and the housekeeping staff diligently cleaned them every day. The hotel breakfast was abundant, offering both Chinese and Western options, as well as ******* tsampa and milk tea. The freshly prepared beef noodles were particularly good. They delivered complimentary fruit and snacks every day. On two occasions when we left early for a day tour, they even prepared packed lunches for us. The lobby manager, Xiaofang, was incredibly kind. She gave us a discount when we extended our stay and even added us on WeChat, checking in daily to see how we (being seniors in our sixties) were adapting to the high altitude. The Golmud Huanghe International Hotel truly felt like a warm and considerate temporary home for us in the highlands. We are very grateful for the efforts of every staff member at the hotel. Our trip to the Northwest highlands was delightful, and none of our initial worries materialized; we completed our high-altitude itinerary smoothly. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you visit Golmud. Five-star rating!

Come to Golmud to travel, stay at the eLong Hotel to experience full marks! The location of the hotel is excellent, just in the city center, facing Kunlun Park, the scenery outside the window is superb, and it is especially convenient to eat and drink around. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, the check-in is efficient and fast, there are questions and answers, and the local play guide is intimate. The room was a surprise, and the facilities were brand new and complete. The decoration is modern and elegant, the environment is clean and elegant, warm and comfortable, the bedding is soft, the sound insulation effect is good, there is a humidifier in the dry Golmud, and the details are full. 24-hour hot water, small refrigerator, disinfection cabinet, everything, and the living is particularly safe. Whether it is hardware or service, it is impeccable, highly recommended! Stay here next time you come to Golmud!

I stayed here in August during a Qinghai–Gansu trip with my girlfriend. The staff were consistently professional, helpful, and kind. The hotel is modern and offers a good range of amenities, including a gym and laundry facilities. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of both local and international options. The only drawback was the soundproofing, as some noise from the neighbouring room could be heard. I would recommend asking specifically for a quiet room when booking. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend this hotel +++++

My stay at the Chaka Wanfeng Hotel was excellent. The room was new and spotlessly clean. Upon check-in, I received a lovely little trinket, and they even kindly upgraded my room for free. When I felt symptoms of altitude sickness in the evening, I contacted the front desk, and a oxygen concentrator was quickly delivered, along with yogurt and fruit. When checking out, I was given water and local specialty drinks. The service was prompt and very thoughtful. The hotel has a large parking lot, which is very convenient for those driving. It's only a few minutes' drive from the Chaka Salt Lake scenic area, making travel easy. Overall, the attention to detail is impressive. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone driving to Chaka.

The hotel experience was great! The room was super spacious and even had an oxygen concentrator to help with altitude sickness. The location is really convenient; you can see the salt lake right from the room. It's only a 7-minute drive to Chaka Salt Lake. They also gave us complimentary yogurt and a small gift. There are plenty of dining options downstairs, plus a Mixue Ice Cream & Tea and a Luckin Coffee nearby. The service was thoughtful, and the bedding was comfortable. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Chaka!

The room was clean and there was plenty of drinking water. If you needed oxygen equipment, you just had to ask the front desk and they would provide an oxygen concentrator. The stay was quite good. It's peak season now, so there are a lot of guests. The breakfast was quite varied, with both Chinese and Western options, which was great. It's one of the better hotels near Chaka, though the price is a bit higher during peak season.

This hotel is conveniently located close to the highway exit. The soundproofing is excellent, so there's no noise disturbance. They even provide humidifiers and oxygen concentrators, which is a thoughtful touch for out-of-town guests and truly heartwarming. We also received a complimentary fruit platter. Upon checking out, they gave us local souvenirs (seabuckthorn juice and highland barley yogurt). As a tour leader with 8 years of experience, I am exceptionally satisfied with Huacheng Hotel. It's even more convenient for self-driving tour groups, as there's ample free parking both in front and behind the hotel. Superb! [Strong][Strong][Strong] There's also a PetroChina gas station directly across the street, which is very convenient.

The hotel is right next to the entrance of Sky One Scenic Area. When we arrived, we all suffered from altitude sickness. The front desk lady thoughtfully turned on the oxygen machine in our room, which alleviated our hypoxia symptoms. The hotel also provided complimentary scenic area tickets, and the views were absolutely stunning. Breakfast was quite rich.

The location is super close to Chaka Salt Lake. The young lady was very welcoming; I asked her to show us the rooms first, and she patiently guided us. I saw the rooms were really nice and clean, so we decided to stay. The price was excellent, and I was so happy with the environment – clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was also very good, and every staff member was enthusiastic. They refilled the breakfast promptly; it was delicious and very convenient. If you're visiting Chaka Salt Lake, definitely stay here – the price is just right. It was also a very comfortable stay, and the food was good too. I didn't take any photos of the hotel, but the environment is exactly as they advertised.
