Haixi Prefecture Hotels with Breakfast

On June 28, 2026, at 7:00 AM, after a high-speed train and a slower 'green-skin' train journey, we finally arrived at the Golmud Huanghe International Hotel. The friendly front desk lady warmly welcomed us and quickly processed our check-in. She even thoughtfully gave us two breakfast vouchers and advised us to rest well at the hotel after eating to acclimatize to the high altitude, rather than engaging in strenuous activities right away. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for dining and shopping. It also has its own parking lot, which is very friendly for self-driving tourists. The guest rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and hygienic, and the housekeeping staff diligently cleaned them every day. The hotel breakfast was abundant, offering both Chinese and Western options, as well as ******* tsampa and milk tea. The freshly prepared beef noodles were particularly good. They delivered complimentary fruit and snacks every day. On two occasions when we left early for a day tour, they even prepared packed lunches for us. The lobby manager, Xiaofang, was incredibly kind. She gave us a discount when we extended our stay and even added us on WeChat, checking in daily to see how we (being seniors in our sixties) were adapting to the high altitude. The Golmud Huanghe International Hotel truly felt like a warm and considerate temporary home for us in the highlands. We are very grateful for the efforts of every staff member at the hotel. Our trip to the Northwest highlands was delightful, and none of our initial worries materialized; we completed our high-altitude itinerary smoothly. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you visit Golmud. Five-star rating!

The hotel has a large parking lot, which is very convenient for self-driving travelers. The room is spacious, bright, and comfortable, as well as clean and hygienic. The facilities are comprehensive. The breakfast is rich and delicious, with both Chinese and Western buffet options, catering to various tastes. It offers excellent value for money.

I stayed here in August during a Qinghai–Gansu trip with my girlfriend. The staff were consistently professional, helpful, and kind. The hotel is modern and offers a good range of amenities, including a gym and laundry facilities. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of both local and international options. The only drawback was the soundproofing, as some noise from the neighbouring room could be heard. I would recommend asking specifically for a quiet room when booking. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend this hotel +++++

My child had always dreamed of staying in an RV, and we finally made it happen during our Qinghai-Gansu grand loop tour. The RV was really unique, with smart facilities and amenities. It was a classic case of ”small but perfectly formed,” even managing to fit two beds! There was also an induction cooker, pots, and bowls, so we could even cook our own instant noodles. It was incredibly quiet at night. We watched the sunset in the evening and saw the starry sky and the Milky Way at night – my child was absolutely thrilled. She said this was the best ”hotel” I'd ever booked. The park offers various room types to suit different traveler needs. The entire park features Yardang landforms and three salt lakes. The breakfast was also good, and we even received two complimentary Nova coffees. The service was excellent too; they thoughtfully showed us to our RV, provided a detailed introduction, and even gave us a small gift. I hope the hotel continues to thrive!

I had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious and well-designed, spotlessly clean, and completely odor-free. The bed was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and there was plenty of hot water, with all the essential amenities provided. The hotel staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and friendly. The location is super convenient for transportation, yet the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. It’s definitely an excellent choice for a trip. The hygiene was top-notch; there wasn't a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and the room was well-ventilated with a comfortable temperature. The soundproofing was fantastic, making for a truly quiet night's rest. The facilities were excellent, with soft, pleasant lighting. The staff were responsive and friendly. This hotel offers much better value for money than others in its price range, and I would genuinely recommend it and definitely return.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! It completely exceeded my expectations! First off, the parking lot is large and very convenient for parking. The lobby is bright and spacious, and there's even a small gym. It's super easy to find places to eat nearby. The hotel room itself is incredibly spacious, and the bed is large, clean, and very comfortable. In the evening, the hotel thoughtfully brought us a sweet soup. The breakfast was rich, varied, and delicious; I was really touched to find fresh shrimp there! When we left, the hotel even prepared a souvenir for us. Five-star rating!

We checked in late at night after touring Chaka Salt Lake, and since we were traveling with a child, they offered us a room upgrade, so the three of us slept very comfortably. The breakfast was also great, with just the right items for breakfast, and they replenished the food immediately whenever it ran low. It is truly the best.

Fantastic! The owner is excellent, always busy making sure everything runs smoothly! The hotel's exterior isn't much to look at, but the rooms are incredibly cozy and make you feel right at home! The facilities are complete and automated. They were very generous with bottled water, though it's a shame we only went through one large bottle in two days, haha, we just couldn't finish it all! The disposable toiletries were a thoughtful touch, really great! This was the only hotel with air conditioning we stayed at during our trip around Qinghai Lake. On the first day, coming from Qilian, I experienced some altitude sickness, so I went to bed early, and it was really comfortable! We stayed for two nights. We probably arrived back at the hotel too early, around 3 PM, and our room hadn't been serviced yet. The owner quickly got it sorted out for us, which we really appreciate! Highly recommend this place; you won't be disappointed!

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a professional hotel within the scenic area. It's under the HUAZHU Hotels Group, very clean and tidy, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. My family and I stayed in a 'rich-oxygen room' which simulated an altitude of only a few hundred meters, and everyone slept wonderfully without any dizziness or headaches.

Five stars without hesitation! Choosing to stay at the Starry Sky Inn in the Chaka Salt Lake Sky No. 1 Scenic Area was a wise decision. The inn is right next to the floating pavilion, and I specifically tried the unique salt-heated bed. The natural salt lake minerals heated the bed, and the warmth slowly seeped into my body, instantly relieving the fatigue of my long journey. Accommodation within the scenic area allows free access to the park, eliminating the need to rush and fight for a spot. The salt lake scenery within the scenic area is also very beautiful and worth taking photos of. Sunrise and sunset can be captured at your leisure. The rooms were clean and tidy, with excellent heating facilities, perfectly adapted to the high-altitude climate. The staff were warm and attentive. This was the most amazing stop on my Northwest trip. Version Three (Artsy and Niche Style) Living by the salt lake, falling asleep to the starry sky – a perfect experience. Stay at the Sky No. 1 Starry Sky Inn and try the salt-heated bed therapy in the floating pavilion. The warm, moist salt stones were incredibly comforting. During the day, enjoy the mirror-like salt lake, and watch the lake shimmer like gold at sunset; at night, draw back the curtain of the sky, and the vast starry sky fills the rooftop. Avoid the crowds and quietly enjoy the unique romance of Chaka Salt Lake. The food and accommodation far exceeded expectations; the convenience of staying within the scenic area was excellent.
