My top choice for accommodation in Kumamoto! The Daiwa Roynet Hotel PREMIER Kumamoto Ginza Dori has an unbeatable location. It's just a 2-minute walk from Hanabatacho tram station, and a direct 17-minute tram ride from Kumamoto Station. It's super close to Kumamoto Castle, the Ginza Dori shopping area, and the Sakuramachi bus terminal, all within walking distance, making sightseeing and shopping incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a separate wet/dry bathroom, a massage chair, a humidifier/air purifier, and USB charging ports by the bed – they've really thought of every detail. The soundproofing was excellent, so I slept incredibly well. Breakfast is served on the second floor at Suganoya, featuring fantastic local specialties like Kumamoto horse meat curry, spicy mentaiko (cod roe), and karashi renkon (mustard-filled lotus root), all at a great value for money.

The location is fantastic, super convenient for shopping and dining. The hotel itself is beautiful, but I'm not sure if the bedsheets were clean; I felt itchy all night under the covers, which made me feel a bit uneasy. The bathroom was a bit inconvenient and I felt like I could easily slip. Other than that, everything else was top-notch! 👍

When we arrived at the hotel, we couldn't find a parking spot, and then one of the staff members—I think Elly—helped us tremendously to find a parking spot. The staff is very helpful and super friendly. The hotel is centrally located.  It is very quiet in the hotel itself. The surroundings are also extremely quiet, so we were able to sleep well. The beds were very good. One minor downside is that they didn't offer drinking water. So you had to get it yourself, and the 7-Eleven was around the corner, so that wasn't really a huge problem. We enjonyed our stay. Thank you!

The hotel room was good but I felt there were not all the amenities which you would expect at a business hotel, esp the morning routine kit - tooth brush, shaving kit, comb, etc. You can optionally choose to have breakfast at the hotel for which you need to pay (unless it’s included in your booking), but the breakfast isn’t that great tbh. So, it felt a little overpriced for the view and amenities it offered. The best part was the location, as it’s right in the center and has easy access to the shopping streets nearby and also to the Bus Terminal. Overall, a decent business hotel to stay in.

Nice room which is quite generous in size compared to a standard Japanese business hotel. Only a bit on the dark side, so could use with better or brighter lighting. Location is very near a tram stop but convenience stores aren't close and not many places to eat around there. There was a yakiniku place nearby but it was fully booked so I ate dinner in the hotel but honestly the buffet wasn't very good in terms of taste. The payment for the buffet was also not reflected in my IHG one account. There is a coffee machine in the lobby for guest use (free). The best parts of this hotel are the friendly and helpful staff and the size of the rooms.
