Kumamoto City Hotels with Wifi

"I was extremely satisfied with my stay in Kumamoto this time. Especially during the off-season, the value for money is outstanding. It's truly a hotel where it's hard to find any significant flaws. The location is almost perfect. It's right to the JR Kumamoto Station exit, so there's absolutely no stress even with luggage. The hotel is connected to AMU PLAZA Kumamoto, with a shopping mall downstairs, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. There's also a tram station within 100 meters. Whether you're taking the Shinkansen to other cities or the tram to explore Kumamoto city, the transportation is extremely convenient. This location is especially comfortable for those with a lot of luggage or those using Kumamoto as a transfer point in Kyushu. I personally found the room rate during the off-season to be excellent value for money. For this location, facilities, and service level, it's definitely worth it. The hotel also has a public bath and a sauna. It's worth noting that the public bath is not a real natural hot spring, and its size is a bit small, so it might get crowded when there are many people. However, for a city hotel right next to a JR station, having this amenity at all is a huge plus. It's very relaxing to soak in it after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast is buffet-style, and I personally found the variety to be quite rich. In addition to conventional Japanese and Western breakfast items, you can also find some local Kumamoto and Kyushu specialties, so you won't be eating the exact same things every day even if you stay for a few days. Overall, I was quite satisfied. The service was particularly impressive this time. The front desk staff were polite and enthusiastic, to the point of being almost 'excessive.' They would greet me proactively every time I passed by, and they were very serious about helping with any issues, showing excellent service awareness. It wasn't the kind of mechanical politeness that comes from just following standard procedures. The room itself was also almost flawless. It was clean and comfortable overall, the facilities were relatively new, and the space was good for a Japanese city hotel. The only notable issue I found was actually a very minor detail: some windows only had Roman blinds, not blackout curtains, and the gaps between the curtains were a bit large, making it impossible to fully block out the light. When the sun came out in the morning, light would shine directly through the middle, which could easily wake up light sleepers or those sensitive to light. I suggest the hotel improve this detail in the future. Overall, it was a very satisfying hotel during my Kyushu trip. The location, transportation, shopping, room, service, public bath, and breakfast basically had no significant shortcomings. Especially during the off-season when prices are right, the value for money is excellent. I would definitely prioritize staying here again if I return to Kumamoto."

"Having lived in Japan for over ten years, I have to commend this hotel. It far exceeded my expectations. 1. Right outside the door is the largest local bus terminal, making it incredibly convenient to get to the airport, Aso, Amakusa, and Fukuoka. 2. The price is half or even less than half of surrounding hotels. I originally had no expectations, thinking it would just be a cheap place to crash. 3. While the hallway decor looks a bit dated, it perfectly aligns with the MUJI団地 (housing complex) design philosophy. You even use a traditional key to open the door. 4. Although the room has an old-style Japanese business hotel decor, it's exceptionally clean and very spacious. The room design is well-thought-out, making it comfortable and secure to use. 5. Both check-in and check-out at the front desk were handled with meticulous care and polite, professional service. This is something even much more expensive hotels I've stayed at elsewhere often fail to deliver. 6. I stayed here for five consecutive nights and had a great experience. I would definitely choose this hotel again for future family trips."

"The hotel is clean and fascinating, quite near city centre with easy walking access (within 15-20min to all places). Kumamoto has so much to offer - food, nightlife vibes, and more, especially Kumamon the cute lovely mascot of the city!"

"The hotel is nice and cosy. Room is clean and of a nice size. It’s located in a shopping centre with nice amenities around. Parking is within the shopping centre and public and you have to take the shopping centre parking ticket to the hotel reception when checking in and paying the required fee to the hotel reception after that you can move in and out without requiring to pay again When checking in, do take note to go the the hotel entrance on the 2nd floor of the shopping centre before taking the lift to the 14th floor; which is where the hotel reception is. Checking in and out after that is seamless Love the stay."

"I stayed in Fukuoka for three nights in total on this trip. Two nights in Fukuoka, then one night in Beppu after checking out, and then back to Fukuoka for another night. To avoid bringing luggage to Beppu, I booked the same hotel, but with two different room types. The standard double room was actually better than the larger room type; there was no strange odor in the bathroom, and while it was a bit smaller (though relatively spacious for Japan), the layout was more functional and didn't hinder luggage placement. The hotel offers self-service luggage storage, but it's not for overnight. After discussing my situation with the front desk, they agreed to store my suitcase there overnight."

"This place are good for shopping and Travel at Kumamoto. Hotel are center shopping Street. You can walk around every time. This place not parking but you can walking to 24 hours Parking about 5 minutes."

"The hotel is located in the city center, within walking distance of Kumamoto Castle, and directly above a shopping street. The room was clean and comfortable, and sitting by the large window watching the street view was very relaxing. The housekeeping was thoughtful, and every evening there was a Taiko performance and free sake tasting. In the lobby, there's an outdoor terrace tea area where you can comfortably unwind. The only minor drawback is that the room isn't very spacious, making it a bit difficult to fully open a large suitcase."

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, making it easy to explore Kumamoto Castle, shopping streets, and local restaurants. The riverside setting also provided a nice atmosphere, especially in the evening. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with the amenities needed for a short stay. The staff were friendly and professional, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the room space was a bit limited for travelers with larger luggage. However, everything was well-maintained and functional, so it did not significantly impact our stay. Overall, HOTEL MYSTAYS Kumamoto Riverside offers great value, a convenient location, and reliable service. We would happily stay here again when visiting Kumamoto."
