Great
GGuest UserWalked out onto the balcony and we were met with these stunning views.
The time that we visited (May) meant that it was slightly too cold to be out on the balcony for too long, but the views that we enjoyed out of the window were magnificent.
When the first arrived the lady on the front desk was very friendly, and helpful.
We had asked for a double bed and had been allocated two single beds. She quickly contacted the ladies from house keeping and they very kindly sprung into action to help rectify the situation.
The housekeeping staff were nice and pleasant, and the location was just right for us to get out and about visiting some of the local attractions like the Kiwi birdlife park.
The big plus about staying at the highview apartments was having a parking space. When you visit queenstown you'll soon find out that in some places finding a parking space is like gold dust.
AadolalalalaGreat location! Although there's a steep hill to the town center, it's only a few minutes' walk. They also offer free parking on a first-come, first-served basis. After we checked out, the front desk even let us move our car to another parking lot that didn't require a key card, which was really convenient since our main activities were in the town center. Excellent value for money!
CclaraqHoliday Inn Queenstown Frankton is generally good except for the many stairs. The rooms are up on a slope and without an elevator. Will not recommend for elderly folks like us. Breakfast spread though small, but tasty. Our room has a great view of the lake and mountain. Occasionally, we could see planes landing as the hotel is very near the airport.
XXinidiyilongmingIt was okay. It's one of the newer hotels in Queenstown, and the location is decent. The only downside is that it's a big uphill walk from the town center, but overall, it's not too far.
Facilities: Standard Holiday Inn Express, but the curtains are too thin and let in a lot of light.
Cleanliness: Pretty clean, and they tidy up daily.
Environment: The hotel is currently renovating its restaurant, so it's a bit noisy and messy, but the surrounding area is fine.
Service: It was alright, not overly enthusiastic but not cold either. Nothing remarkable, neither good nor bad.
MMichael James PyzStayed at Ramada by Wyndham Queenstown and overall the hotel itself was quite nice. The location was very convenient and made it easy to get around Queenstown and access everything nearby.
The room was comfortable, however housekeeping was disappointing during our stay. Towels were never changed and the toilet paper wasn’t refilled; it seemed like the only thing being done each day was the bed being made.
I also asked for some assistance and advice on getting to the Highlands Motorsport Museum, but unfortunately staff weren’t very helpful with that either.
The hotel has good potential because of its location and rooms, but service and attention to detail definitely need improvement.
AAmber Jong“Fantastic stay – highly recommend!”
I had an excellent stay at the Cambridge Hotel. The location is perfect, within easy walking distance to major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with a great city view from the balcony.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always going above and beyond to assist with any requests. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient.
The facilities were also impressive, especially the indoor pool and overall cleanliness of the hotel. Everything felt well-maintained and welcoming.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, combining comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
YYuzixiahuazhenhaochiI specially booked the Superior Lakefront King Room, and it totally lived up to my expectations! The full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows provides unobstructed lake views, and the sunset glinting on the water creates an absolutely magical vibe.
The oversized king-size bed ensured a wonderfully restful sleep. The bathroom has separate wet and dry zones, and the room feels spacious without being cramped.
The hotel is peacefully located away from the noisy downtown area. The lakeside trail right outside offers breathtaking scenery for strolls. The staff respond promptly to all requests, and all facilities are well kept.
If you visit Queenstown, the lakefront king room is an absolute must-book!
AAnonymous UserA love-hate relationship with this place. The 180-degree lake view flat was amazing, and the in-room facilities were comprehensive, except for one of the stove burners not lighting on max heat and not being able to find the switch for the laundry room exhaust fan. There are also quite a few things to complain about: Getting from reception to the room requires walking along an outdoor driveway and through the garage, which is an unusually unpleasant experience! Luckily the weather was good; it would have been a complete disaster if it had rained. As for the service, the front desk staff acted like robots, seemingly doing nothing but checking guests in. Indian tour buses would block the entrance/exit for over ten minutes at a time, completely jamming the driveway, and no one did anything about it! They claimed to have a shuttle bus service to town, but they didn't control the number of passengers, which resulted in some people not being able to get on. The website said check-in was at 2 PM, but when 2 PM rolled around, they told us the room wasn't ready and we'd have to wait until 2:30 PM for the key card, without a single apology.
GGuest UserNewer than the other Wyndham, and very close to the airport. There's a Thai restaurant and a Malaysian restaurant nearby, and you can walk to a Chinese and an Asian supermarket. The kitchen is fully equipped for making simple meals. If there's traffic, it takes about half an hour to drive to Queenstown.
NNigulasizhaosiayoLocated on the outskirts of Queenstown, it's about a 15-minute drive to the town center. There's a McDonald's nearby. The front desk has Chinese-speaking staff who are all very friendly. The room was spacious and the sanitary facilities were great.
