"Amazing hotel. Good service and friendly staff members. Nice king bed and we had an extra sofa bed which is a bonus, it was set-up for free for us as my partner sleep snoring very loudly. The location is great and easy to find. The downgrade was the parking, there was no free parking as we had to pay $20 per 24hr. So we had to spent $60 just for parking, its ridiculous expensive. The hotel should've provide it free parking. But other than that the stayed was amazing. Had a great restaurant by the wharf and the food is amazing and bonus with an amazing views."

"The hotel charged service fees and forcibly deducted money from the credit card. Our family had dinner at the hotel. The hotel waiter thought we were foreigners and didn’t speak good English, so the bill was wrong. After we checked the prices one by one, they changed it."

"Looks like we got a recently renovated apartment. It was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Housekeeping was prompt whenever we needed it.Basement parking was available for our stay, and the unit was conveniently located next to a staircase leading directly to Stanley Street, where our ski bus pick-up point was. It was also less than a 10-minute walk to the town centre. Overall, no regrets—it was an excellent choice and great value for the price. "Especially beautiful boutique hotel, the breakfast room is decorated with taste, and the order is delicious. The tableware is exquisite. Host helps to book a restaurant, about car travel, really impeccable. Because the hotel is on a hillside, drinking a welcome drink in the yard can overlook the lake view, what is the bartender and the guests have a pleasant discussion to decide! The most recommended hotel in Queenstown! Personally feel that it is not suitable for children, too quiet environment."

"Where do I start - from arriving until leaving we had the most amazing stay here. We had a family room which was so spacious - the beds were huge and it’s cosy! The blowout curtains had us sleeping in more than it should’ve 😆 We had breakfast with our stay and it did not dissapoint there was such a selection from savoury to sweet and more! Love it coffee and juices included just amazing The gym was so well equipped mlre than I’d expect so was pleasantly surprised and the equipment was all up to scratch and working smoothly The spa was beautiful 🤩 The sauna was also good but it wasn’t as hot as would usually expect It would be amazing if the bigger pool was heated so more ppl could enjoy swimming around together but it wasn’t like a cold plunge perfect for those who enjoy it after a sauna The location is beautiful right near town a little walk away and parking was well priced and easy enough to organise Thanks so much for having myself and my family It made our stay that much more memorable"

"Disappointing compared to other hostels in New Zealand I stayed two nights at Pinewood Lodge and, unfortunately, it was one of my least favorite hostels during my trip to New Zealand. The main issue was the lack of facilities for the number of guests. There were only two toilets and two showers for about a dozen people, which often led to waiting times. The kitchen is very small, with little space to store food (practically only the refrigerator) and a rather limited selection of utensils and cooking equipment. The room was also very cold, despite the heating being turned up to maximum, which didn't make for very comfortable nights. The location is decent, but for my part, I'm glad I only stayed two nights. Given my experience in many other hostels in New Zealand, this one is unfortunately not among those I would prioritize recommending."

"The hotel is very close to the airport, and the front desk staff who checked us in were all very kind and friendly. Even though we arrived early, they did their best to arrange a room for us. They even suggested storing our snowboards at the front desk to save us the hassle of carrying them around. I really have to commend the front desk staff for their perceptiveness and proactive customer-oriented attitude! In addition, the staff at the hotel's Grant restaurant were equally friendly and proactive in their service. The food offered great value for money, and both the taste and quality were excellent! Next time I visit Queenstown, I will definitely choose to stay here again!"

The service at this hotel was excellent; the staff were all very friendly, and the breakfast was the best, most varied, and most delicious we'd had since Christchurch. It seems the hotel is undergoing renovations, as there was a distinct smell of paint in the hallway, though the room itself was fine. The front desk is located by the lake, but the navigation system hasn't been updated yet. We arrived around 6 PM after dark, and the navigation led us to the street behind the hotel's old building. The hotel lobby offers complimentary wine, chocolates, and cookies at different times throughout the day, which was lovely to enjoy after an afternoon walk. However, there's one facility that definitely needs upgrading: the shower water pressure was extremely weak, and the water temperature was very unstable—either lukewarm or suddenly scalding hot. Overall, showering was very uncomfortable. Aside from the shower, everything else about the hotel was very satisfying 👍

The handsome men and beautiful women at the front desk genuinely and sincerely helped guests with their questions and needs. My three-night stay was truly fantastic! The rooftop offers stunning mountain and lake views, and the cozy fireplace makes you feel like you're in a secluded paradise. Getting around is super convenient. After leaving Queenstown Airport, you only need to walk about 100 meters to find the #1 public transport bus. Remember to buy a transport card at the airport bookstore beforehand; it's very convenient and cheap, especially if you're traveling alone or with one other person. One card is all you need. To get to this hotel (Leloo Hotel), take the bus from the airport. After about 20 minutes, get off at Stanley Street, which is a major transport hub, just a 4-minute walk from the hotel. You'll know it's the right stop because it's at the bottom of a big downhill road, with a large park on your right. The bus stops are conveniently divided into A, B, and C sections. Getting to Arrowtown only takes 25 minutes and costs 2.5 New Zealand dollars. There are many popular, Instagrammable shops nearby, like Fergburger. Even if you're vegetarian, don't worry, they all have Chinese menus.

Newer than the other Wyndham, and very close to the airport. There's a Thai restaurant and a Malaysian restaurant nearby, and you can walk to a Chinese and an Asian supermarket. This is my first time staying at a hostel as I always stay in hotels when I travel but NZ is way out of my budget to get a hotel for 8 days of stay. I am surprised that there is free basic spices if you opt to cook and you should to save money and they also have free spread for your sandwiches you can use and free coffee. Free bodywash by the hostel and you can also use the conditioner and other shampoos that other guests left when they check-out for fr e. They also have charger you can borrow. The 4square grocery is very close like 2-3 min walking distance and other restaurants. I have 8 days so I am staying here in Haka house Queenstown, the on in mount cook ( which doesn’t have all these free spices and I think because how far grocery store is) and my last remaining days I will try Haka by the lake front. I don’t have hostel pics so sharing with you my view from Queenstown Hill viewpoint.

The location was nice, with it being only an 8 minutes walk into town centre. The kitchen was clean enough for us and so are the bathrooms. However, the wifi was not so great. We had to use our own mobile data, but if you're fine with that then it's a good place for a short stay, which was the case for us considering if you're planning to be out travelling for most of the day anyways. The staffs were all also very lovely and helpful.

I booked this hotel because I had an early 7 AM flight. It's easily accessible from Queenstown via bus route 1, and bus route 3 takes you to a supermarket near the airport, which is super convenient. I had originally planned to walk to the airport (about a 20-minute walk), but I easily caught a taxi at 5 AM for 20 NZD. The front desk staff was very friendly and attentive, especially a lady with a French accent. The front desk closes after 8 PM, but you can self-check-in/out with a key card. The room itself was well-equipped, thoughtfully laid out, clean, and tidy, with kitchen facilities and a washing machine.

We stayed at this hotel apartment for three nights during our South Island road trip in Queenstown. The two-bedroom, two-living room lake-view apartment (with two separate bathrooms) was excellent! Make sure to choose a unit on the 4th or 5th floor, as the 3rd floor's lake view might be partially obstructed by other buildings. The kitchen is fully equipped (though you'll need to bring your own seasonings). On the evening of April 18th, we were able to see both the aurora and the Milky Way right from our room's balcony – no need to go out and brave the cold, which was absolutely amazing and so worth it! The hotel parking was also very convenient; we paid 45 NZD for three days. However, it might be inconvenient if you don't have a car, as the hotel is located in a lower area off the main road, and the front desk is a bit of a walk from the other two apartment buildings. It's about 2.5 kilometers from Queenstown center.
