InterContinental Hotels DANANG SUN PENINSULA RESORT by IHG

Pros: 1. The hotel's natural environment is excellent, offering sightings of incredibly rare protected animals. They also provide a free wildlife tour, which I highly recommend. It's a fantastic experience to simply walk around the hotel and spot monkeys foraging. 2. The service is outstanding. The hotel staff are attentive and very considerate of guests. The welcome drink was delicious. The hotel facilities are well-maintained, and I received a room upgrade with a great view and a spacious layout. 3. The slippers were very comfortable. The breakfast tableware was exquisite. Cons for me: 1. The claim of being the 'most beautiful Intercontinental' is an exaggeration. Some areas even felt [as pictured], though I suppose one could call it 'unique.' Personally, I found it gaudy. 2. I strongly recommend including executive lounge access. If you arrive early, since there's no air conditioning in the public areas, the only cool indoor space to relax is the executive lounge. Otherwise, you're stuck waiting in the hotel lobby, and elderly guests and children need to be careful to avoid heatstroke. 3. The breakfast was delicious, and the fruit quality was high. However, it's baffling why the other restaurants were so bad. After reading reviews that even the Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant wasn't great, I booked a package that included dinner. I paid extra to change the dishes, but they were still terrible. It was arguably the worst meal I had in Vietnam. 4. Although the hotel was uncrowded and had a good environment, the beach quality was very average, and the loungers by the sea started closing down every day at 6 PM. In summary, I think this Intercontinental is worth staying at, but don't go in with exceptionally high expectations.

This was a hotel that I spent a long time researching before booking. It had excellent reviews and a very high rating online. Unfortunately, my experience was a case of “looks great from a distance, but not quite as impressive up close.” Let me start with the positives. The lobby is beautiful, with a charming vintage design that creates a great first impression. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and communicated well in English. Upon arrival, we were offered cold towels and refreshing welcome drinks, which was a nice touch after a long journey. We decided to have lunch at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was average—not particularly memorable, but enough to satisfy our hunger. The staff escorted us and our luggage to the room. At first glance, the room looked acceptable, but as someone who is quite particular about cleanliness, I quickly noticed a significant amount of dust on various surfaces. I tried not to dwell on it because, for me, the most important thing is a clean and comfortable bed. Unfortunately, that night became the worst part of our stay. I barely slept during my first night. Throughout the night, I felt as though something was biting my skin, and I found myself constantly scratching. It was extremely uncomfortable and frustrating. The following morning during breakfast, a staff member kindly asked how we had slept. I honestly explained my experience and mentioned that I felt I had been bitten by something during the night. I requested that the bed linens be changed. To their credit, the staff responded immediately. They informed the front desk, and shortly afterwards a manager came to speak with us personally, apologised sincerely, and arranged for a deep cleaning of our room. At that moment, I truly appreciated their attitude because they made me feel that they genuinely cared and were actively trying to solve the problem. We then left for our day of sightseeing. When we returned to the hotel that afternoon, I was genuinely surprised. The room felt completely different from the day before. It smelled fresh and clean, every surface had been thoroughly wiped down, the floors were spotless, and even the musty smell that I had previously noticed was gone. The room finally felt as clean as I had expected from a highly rated hotel. As an additional gesture, the hotel offered me a complimentary 20-minute herbal bath treatment as compensation. I thought that was a thoughtful gesture and appreciated the effort they made to make things right. Most importantly, I slept wonderfully on the second night. For service and recovery, I would honestly give the team more than full marks. While the initial issue should not have happened, the way they handled the situation was professional, sincere, and efficient. As for breakfast, it was decent and perfectly acceptable. There was enough variety, although I believe there is still room for improvement. I would still recommend this hotel. The location is excellent, with many attractions and the riverside within easy walking distance. Regarding the facilities, they are all on the smaller side. The swimming pool is beautiful but quite small. The gym is compact, and the children’s playroom is also rather limited in size. None of these were deal-breakers for us, but they are worth noting for future guests. Overall, while the stay did not start well, the outstanding service recovery and excellent location left a positive final impression. No hotel is perfect, but what matters is how they respond when something goes wrong—and this hotel handled it exceptionally well.

Check-in on the night of June 15th, check-out on June 17th. I'm writing an honest review to help fellow Koreans. *Overall, the hotel staff are friendly.* *The room is quiet with no noticeable noise.* *The air conditioning is very cold.* *You can watch YouTube.* 1. This hotel requires a deposit of 1,000,000 VND per night. Any paid services you use at the hotel (laundry, F&B, etc.) will be deducted from your deposit upon check-out. Korean guests, please keep this in mind. 2. Late check-out is possible (if the hotel isn't fully booked). Many people take late-night flights back home. My flight was at 11 PM, and I extended my check-out until 6 PM for about 1,400,000 VND. 3. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Han Market. Along the way, you'll find Cong Cafe, 4P's Pizza, and Michelin-starred restaurants. The location is unbeatable. 4. While the rooftop pool isn't huge, the view is great, making it worth using every day. (However, the food and beverage service from the bar is generally expensive). Two cocktails can easily set you back 600,000-700,000 VND. I recommend enjoying it once and then finding other bars. 5. The rooftop bar that operates in the evening only sells cocktails, not food. This is also very expensive. I recommend trying it once for the experience. 6. The breakfast selection isn't vast, but the quality is above average. This is especially noticeable in the freshly made pho, fried eggs, and omelets, which are excellent. The other buffet items are standard. I think women would particularly enjoy the breakfast, especially the delicious bread. 7. The room was clean, and the cleaning quality was good, but it seems they don't check the amenity levels. Some were empty and weren't refilled. 8. This was a pleasant surprise: it was my birthday during my stay, and I hadn't mentioned or requested anything, but they still prepared a birthday dessert in my room. 9. There was only one minor disappointment: my girlfriend and I checked in near midnight on June 15th. It's a 5-star hotel, but there was no bellboy to help with our luggage. Perhaps it was due to the late hour? From a service perspective, this was a letdown for a newly built 5-star hotel right from the first impression. Finally, I've attached photos of the breakfast, and I hope my review helps everyone staying at this hotel.

our stay at this hotel was perfect. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The grounds and beach area are beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast is excellent with a varied selection to suit everyone. We were kindly upgraded t o a one bedroom villa with pool which was stunning. Location is situated in the middle between danang and hoi an - perfect if you want to travel into both areas, however worth mentioning there isnt much around directly outside the hotel but this isnt an issue as there is everything you could want at the hotel. Food at all the restaurants in the hotel was delicious and service was great. Honestly could not find any fault with the resort at all, if you want 5 star luxury service this is the place to go .

The hotel is like a resort, very large with beautiful surroundings. The downsides are no indoor pool, and the shuttle bus schedule is too infrequent, with a two-hour wait between buses. It would be much better if it ran every hour, which would be more convenient for guests. A two-hour wait is really too sparse, and considering its remote location, the hotel should really think about this to be more appealing.

1. We received a complimentary afternoon tea set for two during our one-day stay, and it was exquisite. 2. The restaurant on the 29th floor has very reasonable prices, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. 3. The infinity pool is incredibly relaxing and provides a great atmosphere.

Had a good stay at this hotel overall. The room was spacious and cleaned very well every day, which made the stay comfortable and pleasant. The staff were also very nice, polite, and always helpful whenever needed. One of the highlights of the hotel was definitely the swimming facilities. Having access to two free pools was great, and both were well-maintained and enjoyable to use. The hotel also has a beach club with a couple nice restaurants. The atmosphere there was enjoyable, especially for relaxing by the beach while having good food and drinks. It was a great addition to the overall stay experience. The only downside was the breakfast. While it was acceptable, the menu became quite repetitive and boring after a few days. There could definitely be more variety and improvements in the breakfast selection. Aside from that, it was still a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

This place is perfect for those who love relaxation. It's the best spot for families with kids. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The reception service is excellent; the staff really try their best. The only downside is the language barrier – you'll definitely need a translator. The food gets an 8 out of 10. Everything in the restaurant is lovely, and they have a great selection. Both the kids' and adult pools are excellent. There are 3 restaurants and a nightclub on site. We got an early check-in and a free transfer, plus a fantastic 60-minute massage and a tea ceremony. The Marble Mountains are just a 3-minute walk away (with cafes, souvenir shops, and a mini-market nearby). It's a 20-minute motorbike ride to Hoi An (we went and it was great!). And about 15-20 minutes by Grab bike to Da Nang city center (My Khe Beach). Every day, there's a free, comfortable, air-conditioned car departing from the hotel at 9:00 AM, with a return pick-up at 3:00 PM (you *must* book this in advance). If you're looking for peace, quiet, delicious food, and relaxation, this is the place for you.
