"To be fair, the scenery was good and the beach was decent.
However, the front desk staff spoke to guests in a very rude manner. In China, it's rare to have to wait for housekeeping to inspect the room before you can check out. This place told us to wait for the inspection, fine, we waited. We sat there for a long time without any feedback, so we thought we'd go to the lobby bar to order a drink and sit for a while. Fearing the front desk wouldn't be able to find us, we went to tell them. The attitude of that front desk staff member was unbelievable; she just blurted out in Chinese, ”It's already checked.” Well, if housekeeping had finished checking, you should have informed the guests promptly! No, we went to kindly inform them and were snapped at by the front desk. Speechless.
There were no fluffy slippers in the room, only flip-flops for the beach, and no straw bag or at least a canvas bag, which are typically provided by beach hotels. Nothing at all.
Oh, and the breakfast was a complete mess. The pickled mustard tuber and sugarcane berry juice were incredibly awful. My husband and I have traveled to so many countries, and this was the first time we both unanimously agreed that the breakfast was horrible. They didn't even have the most basic orange or watermelon juice.
Furthermore, this place is very strange; it can't be booked on the IHG official website or Ctrip. You can only book it on the overseas version of Trip.com. It seems to have partially disassociated from IHG, and the service quality has declined too much."
