Rydges Hotels in Sydney

Choosing the right hotel for my Sydney trip really made all the difference! The Rydges World Square completely exceeded my expectations, absolutely deserves a perfect score! 📍Location is unbeatable: Right in the heart of Sydney, within walking distance to the Sydney Opera House and Hyde Park. There are tons of malls and restaurants nearby, making it super convenient for both sightseeing and shopping. It saved so much commute time. 🏨Room Experience: We booked a deluxe twin room, and it was spacious with soft, comfortable bedding. The room was spotlessly clean, no corners missed. All the facilities were complete, and the toiletries were good quality. The soundproofing was excellent, so it was really quiet at night, perfect for a good rest. 💁♀️Service was perfect: Everything from check-in to check-out was incredibly smooth. The front desk staff were warm and professional, proactively offering to help with luggage and answering travel questions. Any request was quickly attended to, with thoughtful attention to detail. 🌿Environment is superb: The hotel lobby has a fantastic design, and the common areas are clean and tidy, creating a comfortable and upscale atmosphere. It's great for relaxing and even for taking photos. My friend and I had such a comfortable stay. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Sydney, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

There was not exhaust in the bathroom so got really foggy and made the bathroom and the room humid. When they cleaned the room,they didn’t take all the dirty towels out and also left the 2 empty glasses there and didn’t replace them

I chose this hotel because I had an early flight the next morning and it was the closest to the airport. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and clean the room was. I had a lot of luggage, and there were trolleys downstairs which was super convenient. It's only a 5-minute walk to the international terminal! Highly recommend!

Upon arrival the room smelled like stale cigarettes and stagnant water which was extremely unpleasant. I had to prop the door open with my suitcase to get fresh air in with the window open. I ended up going to the supermarket to buy carpet deodoriser and air freshener to get the smell out. I could still smell it when I left after 2 days. When I went to get into bed it was very obvious the bed had been slept in and the pillowcase had not been changed. I had to strip the bed and make it with what was left over with the sheet that goes over the doona. I know it was NYE and paid over $600 a night for the room, but wasn’t expecting the room to not smell ok and have fresh linen.

The bed was huge, easily big enough for two girls. The location is excellent; right outside the hotel entrance are the L2 and L3 metro platforms, making it super convenient to get anywhere. It's also close to supermarkets and shopping malls.

This hotel is a bit far from the Sydney city. Didn’t like the location TBh. Not recommended.

Parking is private pay which wasn't clearly mentioned at reception.

We recently stayed at Rydges World Square and overall had a lovely experience. The room was big and very comfortable, which made our stay really enjoyable. My daughters absolutely loved it, especially having plenty of space to relax. What I appreciated most was the separate room setup for parents and children — it gave us privacy while still being together as a family. That layout made a big difference and made the stay feel even more comfortable and convenient. However, the car park was quite difficult to find. We had to drive down many levels, and it was confusing as there were different hotels sharing the area.Clearer signage or directions would really help future guests. The only other disappointment was the pricing. We booked the room for $584, but later noticed the price had dropped to $510. It would have been great to receive the lower rate. Aside from these issues, we truly enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back again.

First, the negatives. About half an hour after we checked in, a male staff member swiped his card and opened our room door. He said he was delivering hangers, but we hadn't requested any, so perhaps they were meant for another room and delivered by mistake. It was quite a shock regardless. I didn't report it to the staff during my stay, but afterwards, I made sure to double-lock the door every time I entered the room (before, I only locked it at night). Now, for the positives. The location is excellent, very close to Central Station with many bus and light rail options nearby, making getting around super convenient. I stayed on the eighth floor, and while I could still hear traffic noise at night, which was a bit loud, the room's soundproofing was otherwise good, as I couldn't hear any noise from next door. The room was also very spacious, with a fridge and a safe. Overall, I recommend it.

The hotel is close to the beach and has a beautiful environment. There are many restaurants nearby, but the rooms in the hotel are relatively dark. If you are afraid of the dark, please do not choose it because there are only two very few lamps to support the light source in the hall. We have reported it to the hotel, but they said there is no way to solve it.
