Where to Go in Chongqing: Sights, Prices and Day Trips

Author's Profile Picture
Chongqing Attractions

Which floor is the ground floor in Chongqing? It depends which door you use. The city is draped over a ridge between two rivers, so the lobby of one building sits level with the tenth floor of the next, and a two-minute walk on a map can mean twelve flights of stairs in practice. I had read that before I arrived and still spent my first afternoon climbing when I meant to be descending.

That is why this is not a ranked list of Chongqing attractions. It is a way of arranging them by height, because height is how the city arranges itself.

Chongqing Attractions, Arranged by Elevation

The old city sits on a peninsula in Yuzhong District, with the Yangtze on the south side and the Jialing on the north. They meet at Chaotianmen, the pointed tip of the peninsula. Almost everything a visitor comes for falls into one of three bands, and the band matters more than the postcode.

Band

What is there

When to go

River level

Hongya Cave, Chaotianmen, the cableway

After dark

Mid-slope

Jiefangbei, Arhat Temple, Shibati

Morning to late afternoon

Ridge

Sunset

The metro is part of the sightseeing. Line 2 runs on a monorail above the Jialing, and the stretch past Liziba is the reason half the people on the train have their phones against the window.

Why the City Stands Up Instead of Out

Chongqing became China's wartime capital in 1937, when the Nationalist government moved upriver from Nanjing. Factories, universities and hundreds of thousands of people followed, and there was almost no flat land to put them on. So the city built upward and into the slopes, and some wartime air-raid shelters are now shops and parking lots.

A Note on Walking

Distance on a map is close to meaningless here. A 400-metre walk can include six flights of stairs, an escalator inside a shopping mall, and a footbridge over a road you did not know existed. Add twenty minutes to whatever your map says, and wear shoes you would wear to a stadium.

Hongya Cave is the one that gets the photographs: eleven storeys of timber-fronted shops and restaurants stacked against the cliff, lit gold after dark. The interiors are jammed and the food is ordinary, so look at it from the bridge first and walk down once the tour groups have gone. The cableway is a five-minute crossing of the Yangtze between Xinhua Road and Shangxinjie, and it has been running since 1987. Treat it as a ride, not as transport; buy a single, cross, and come back by metro if the return line is painful.

Liziba takes ten minutes, and the line uses rubber tires and air suspension, so the building barely hears it. Jiefangbei, five minutes inland, began as a war memorial and is now the centre of a shopping district — a fair summary of modern Chongqing. The monument takes two minutes; the streets around it are where the city shops and eats.

Old Streets, Temples and Staircases in Chongqing

Chongqing Attractions for a Wet Day

The past in Chongqing is mostly uphill. These four are best spread across a day, with the metro doing the climbing between them.

  • Ciqikou. A restored Ming and Qing town of stone lanes and snack stalls, free to enter; the settlement dates to the Song dynasty, though most of what you see is later. Come before ten; by noon the main lane is shoulder to shoulder. Baolun Temple inside charges ¥5.
  • Shibati. The Eighteen Steps — the name comes from the rest platforms that once linked the upper and lower streets — rebuilt and reopened in 2021, free, and photogenic in the way a film set is. The narrow side lanes are more interesting than the main staircase, and quieter.
  • Arhat(Luohan) Temple. A working Buddhist temple in the middle of the city, ¥20 including incense, with 500 carved arhats along the walls. Each face is different; look for the ones with expressions you would not expect in a temple.
  • Huguang Guild Hall. A Qing-era guildhall with an opera stage, about ¥32. It closes one weekday a week — listings disagree on which — so check before you cross town.

What to Eat While You Walk

  • Xiaomian. Spicy breakfast noodles, ¥7–12 a bowl, eaten at a plastic stool on the pavement.
  • Chaoshou. Wontons in chilli oil, best as a mid-morning snack between temples.
  • Suanlafen. Sweet-potato noodles, cold or hot, with vinegar and peanuts.

Where: Ciqikou's main lane is the easy option; the side alleys are cheaper and better.

Chongqing Attractions for a Wet Day

Chongqing Zoo Pandas

Chongqing is hot and humid for much of the year, and the haze that gives it its reputation can swallow the view. Keep two indoor options in reserve.

  • Three Gorges Museum. Free, closed Mondays, open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The collection covers the river before and after the dam, and it is the best explanation of the landscape you have been staring at. Allow two hours.
  • Chongqing Zoo. ¥25 for adults, ¥20 in December. The pandas are included in the ticket and most active between 9 and 11 a.m.

If It Rains

The Three Gorges Museum plus a long lunch is a perfectly good half-day. Add the Raffles City mall if you want to stay dry and still see the rivers from above.

Views in Chongqing, and When to Catch Them

Qiansimen Bridge

Chongqing is a city best understood from a distance, preferably from higher up and slightly to one side.

  • Qiansimen Bridge. Free, and the classic Hongya Cave angle. Arrive around 8 p.m., when the lights are on and the bridge is not yet packed.
  • Eling Park. Free, on the ridge, with the two rivers meeting below. Metro Line 1 to Eling, then a short climb; the seven-storey tower at the top adds another 40 metres.
  • Raffles City skybridge. The observation deck sits about 250 metres up, with a 300-metre bridge between the towers. About ¥120, more at weekends.
  • The cableway at dusk. Not a viewpoint exactly, but the best moving one in the city. Ride it once at sunset and you have seen the peninsula from the water, the air and the ridge in a single day.

Two Day Trips from Chongqing Worth the Early Start

Dazu Rock Carvings

Both of these are full days, and both are the reason some people come to Chongqing at all.

  • Dazu. The easier trip and the more rewarding one if you care about history: tens of thousands of Buddhist figures carved into cliffs between the ninth and thirteenth centuries, with the Baodingshan site doing most of the heavy lifting. Allow two hours each way; last entry to the carvings is 4:30 p.m.
  • Wulong. A landscape trip — three natural limestone arches over a green gorge, with a lift that drops 135 metres to the valley floor. The connections are slow, so stay overnight if you have the time.

Trip

Ticket

Getting there

Dazu Rock Carvings

¥115 peak, ¥100 low season

21–33 min high-speed train to Dazu South, then 30–45 min by bus

Wulong Three Natural Bridges

¥125–155, shuttle and elevator included

35–60 min train to Wulong South, then 45–60 min bus, then a 30-min park shuttle

  • Which one: Dazu for art and history, Wulong for landscape. Neither works well as a half-day.
  • Booking: Trains sell out at weekends. Bring your passport to the station, because it is your ticket, and allow forty minutes for security and the walk to the platform.

Chongqing Travel Tips: Food, Metro, and Tickets

Suanlafen

Three things decide how smooth the trip feels.

What to Eat

Hotpot. Beef tallow, dried chillies and Sichuan pepper in a divided metal pot. Order offal, tofu skin and vegetables rather than a Western-style spread, and ask for weila (mild) or a yuan-yang pot with a mild half.

  • The schedule: Xiaomian for breakfast > chaoshou or noodles for lunch > hotpot after dark.
  • The bill: About ¥60–100 per person for a serious hotpot dinner, less for everything else. Most rooms fill after seven, so arrive early or put your name down.

Getting Around

  • Metro. Clean, cheap and bilingual, and it covers most of what you want. Lines 2 and 3 are monorails, which makes the journey part of the day.
  • Payment. Use Alipay or WeChat Pay with a foreign card for the gate QR code, or buy a single-journey token from the machines.
  • Airport. Line 10 runs from Jiangbei Airport into the city in about 35 minutes.
  • Stations. An interchange can involve four escalators, and your exit may be several floors above the platform.
  • Taxis. Metered and plentiful; show the driver the Chinese name of your destination rather than the English one.

Tickets and Timing

  • Passport. It is the ID for ticket desks, hotel check-in and the free museums.
  • Reservations. Several free attractions, Hongya Cave included, use timed slots through official WeChat mini-programs at busy periods.
  • Discounts. Students and over-60s usually get a reduction with ID; cut-offs vary by site.
  • Payment. Ticket desks take cash and Chinese apps; foreign cards often do not work.
  • Weather. Summer is genuinely punishing — 40°C is not unusual — and winter brings fog rather than snow.

The city is at its best when you stop trying to see everything. Pick one band a day, ride the metro between them, and let the stairs do the rest. Chongqing does not reward efficiency. It rewards the wrong turn that ends with a view of the river and a bowl of noodles, which is a decent definition of a holiday anyway.

I had a very satisfying stay at this Ramada Encore in Chongqing this time, and I just have to share it with everyone! The young lady at the front desk was extremely warm and proactive, and even upgraded us to a room with a big window. The hotel's location is also fantastic—right next to Line 6 of the subway, making it super convenient to get to the scenic spots. They also offer free luggage storage! It was recently renovated, so it's much prettier than before~~

We had an extremely enjoyable stay at Hilton Chongqing. Particularly the great service of Brenda and the reception team made it a memorable experience. The executive lounge on 32/F floor is on the smaller side, so do not expect too much from the evening Happy Hours: Better spend the time exploring the surroundings.

Room had a stunning night view, hotel is grand in both scale and splendour - the minute you walk in it smells wonderful and the size of the lobby is impressive. The staff are very friendly and quick to help - they will let you know all details relevant to your stay and any questions you have will be answered quickly. The rooms are clean and well furnished, we stayed in the deluxe suite which had a fantastic view, and a massive bathroom with shower, bath and washing machine. We also had a kitchen with dishwasher, stove and fridge freezer although we did not use those. The bed was a king size and very comfortable. The air conditioning was very confusing though - even with labels at door we couldn’t figure out how to make it hotter instead of colder and unfortunately the bathroom started to smell at nights and the smells seemed to be coming up the drains, closing the door helped. Othrr than that, the stay was perfect and because of the room we stayed in we got executive benefits which included breakfast, high tea, welcome snacks and access to the executive lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks.

This time, to visit Chongqing with my son, choosing the JW Marriott was absolutely the right decision. From the geographic location to the hotel environment and service, everything was top-notch. I want to especially thank all the staff at the Concierge Department. One night, I came back intoxicated, and several colleagues from the concierge department personally escorted me back to my room. This hotel's concierge service is undoubtedly the best I've ever encountered and definitely deserves recognition from the hotel management. Every day, come rain or shine, they are outside, greeting guests with a smile, making everyone feel right at home. It's truly exceptional! Additionally, the front desk and housekeeping services are also first-class. I've even written positive comments with pictures.

Location: Situated inside Chongqing's landmark 'Grand Sail' building, directly above Raffles City and with direct metro access. Within walking distance to Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the pier. There are three hotels in the 'Sail' building: InterContinental Raffles City, Hotel Indigo, and Ascott. Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand, the developer of Raffles City, so its quality is undoubtedly top-notch. Facilities: Positioned as a serviced apartment, the public areas are compact yet comfortable and practical. The lobby offers complimentary tea and fresh flowers. A significant portion of the public space is dedicated to guests. The gym is well-equipped with at least two treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as a full set of resistance machines. There's also a yoga room with river views, comparable to a small commercial gym. It provides hot/cold water, sanitizing wipes, towels, and even headphones with sterilized covers. The swimming pool was closed during our two-day stay, so we hope to check it out next time. Below the hotel is Raffles City's urban garden, leading directly to a river-view platform – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. Room: We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, so spacious it was astounding. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bathtub in the master. It includes a washer and dryer, perfect for families. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood. A complete set of dishes and cookware is provided. The facilities are excellently maintained; the microwave and oven looked almost unused. The room offers a pillow menu and abundant storage space. Due to its unique location, Ascott's rooms offer either unbeatable river views, stunning city views, or like ours, views of both. Service: Special thanks to Miss Genny at the front desk, who was incredibly patient during our check-in, attentively asked about our needs, and efficiently arranged our room. We arrived early, intending only to store our luggage, but to our surprise, we received our room key immediately. We are very grateful. All hotel staff were exceptionally proactive, friendly, and helpful – carrying luggage, greeting us upon sight, making us feel right at home. The staff member on the ground floor was also wonderful, assisting with getting in and out of cars/moving luggage and patiently giving directions. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

Overall, I'd give it a good review, but the breakfast was truly disappointing. Having traveled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels, the Kempinski Chongqing is the only one where I'd single out the breakfast for a negative review – though this is just my personal opinion, of course. The hotel's location, convenience to attractions, facilities, and service all live up to the Kempinski name.

My overall experience at Chongqing Yaqi Hotel (Jiefangbei Qixinggang Branch) was outstanding. The service was excellent; the front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and they responded promptly to my WeChat messages. They even returned an item I left behind after check-out, which was a thoughtful touch. As for the facilities, my river-view room had floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Yangtze River, complete with smart lighting and a scenic bathtub. The rooftop infinity pool offered clean water and a stunning city skyline backdrop – perfect for photos. The laundry room and complimentary parking were also very convenient. While the food wasn't a lavish feast, the authentic Chongqing noodles for breakfast were delicious. Paired with the clay pot dishes and the time-honored pea and minced pork noodles available nearby, it truly captured the vibrant street food culture of Chongqing. The hotel offers a quiet retreat in a bustling area, with direct subway access. It's an excellent choice for a stay in the city center that balances design and comfort.

This hotel is located right across from Bayi Square and is also close to the subway. Stepping out, you're on Bayi Road Food Street, where you can find all sorts of local specialty snacks. The staff were very warm and attentive. When we arrived, they immediately offered us refreshing lemon and plum juice from the hotel's self-service, which was incredibly crisp and tasty. Housekeeping was prompt; they even helped us with laundry while we were out exploring. Food delivery riders can bring orders directly to your room. Honestly, if it's not too hot, a short walk will get you to a ton of great food options. You can easily walk to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong from here, and to get to Liziba, you can take Line 2. Across the street from the hotel, you get a great mountain view, and you can even spot the Golden Eagle. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves food and exploring!

The hotel's location is excellent. It's less than a ten-minute walk to Jiefangbei and the northern station of the Yangtze River Cableway. If you don't mind walking, you can reach Hongyadong, Chaotianmen Pier, Shibati, and the walking trails within half an hour. However, you should think twice about taking a taxi to these places as traffic can be very heavy. The hotel entrance is quite small, likely due to limited space. As soon as the car arrived, the bellboy promptly helped with the luggage, which was a great touch. Check-in and check-out were both quick, and the service was warm and polite. The room layout was very well-designed; the kids loved the large sofa bed, and the windows were grand. Having two toilets and two bathrooms was very practical. The desk was the most comfortable and convenient I've encountered in a hotel recently. The bedding in the master bedroom was also very comfortable, ensuring a sound sleep. The breakfast tasted good, but the variety was a bit limited.

I had a wonderful stay here! Eva at the front desk was very professional during check-in and thoughtfully introduced the nearby attractions. The service was top-notch—I highly recommend Sheraton Chongqing Hotel! Located on Nanbin Road, its iconic golden twin towers are an eye-catching landmark of Chongqing's Nan'an District. Lit up at night, the atmosphere is simply amazing and perfect for photos. Inside, the hotel features an elegant European design, with a high-ceilinged, spacious lobby adorned with crystal chandeliers and marble floors, exuding luxury and exquisite craftsmanship. Our room offered stunning views, was spotlessly clean, and had soft, comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was great, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Eva was warm and courteous throughout, making the check-in process swift and patiently answering all my questions. Her thoughtful service really made a difference. The location is unbeatable—right outside is the riverside promenade on Nanbin Road, ideal for a relaxing stroll, and it's quite close to Longmenhao Old Street and the Yangtze River Cableway. The breakfast offered a great variety, including authentic Chongqing spicy noodles. Whether you're visiting Chongqing for sightseeing or a quick getaway, this hotel is a fantastic choice. A solid 10/10 experience—I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Chongqing!

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property.  Everyone was so nice and kind.  The service was top- notch.  The amenities were plenty and easy accessible.   A few extras that made everything worth it were the full- sized refrigerator, with freezer, the washing machine (for which they provided soap as well), dish washer, stove top, towel drier ( in the washroom) and full sized closet.  The view was so beautiful and calming as well.   Everything about this room was just so nice and exactly what I needed.     I didn’t realize how perfect the location was in relation to almost everything that I wanted to see.   When I figured that out, I just got up every day and walked to everything that I needed or wanted to see.   It was extremely close to a lot of restaurants, malls, local shops and smaller attractions.  I was less than a 10 -15 minute walk to Raffles City Shopping Center where there is a 5 story mall, Movie theatre, roof top attraction with the swing,  SKY WALK and also the river front park with amazing views.  Same distance for Hongyadong, the viewing platform, the Qiansemen Bridge- if you wanted to walk across the bridge at night- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  There is so much to see and experience between the hotel and these attractions.  Your days will be filled with fun and adventure.    If ever I have the opportunity to come back to the city, I will very excited to repeat this experience.

This hotel is really great and offers excellent value for money! The lobby is grand, the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are large, and it's quiet for sleeping. Taking a taxi to attractions like Jiefangbei and Eling No. 2 Factory only costs about ten yuan. Definitely not recommended on WARM DAYS because the hotel will turn off AC completely. I stayed at this hotel from 5/8 to 5/11, In-room HVAC only worked on daytime when outdoor temperature reached about 30 degrees, in room temperature was cooling down and comfortable enough. However, the hotel shut down AC system at night because outdoor temperature is not hot enough, that leading to in room temperature went back to 27 degrees, I got totally sleepless. Understood the hotel tried to save money on electricity, but AC system is the one of basic amenity systems and should not shut down the mostly of the days. Moldy grout, moldy caulking are all around the shower, the picture attached. Non adjustable shower head with fixed holder need upgraded. That shows lack of the maintenance for rooms. If you like quiet places, August at South Hot Spring is a great choice! We left after work on Friday and arrived quite late. There's an underground garage, and you can also park on the surface, right at the lobby entrance. Front desk staffer Xiao Zhang provided excellent service, promptly helping us with any issues. 👍 Our room had a private hot spring, and we chose a king-size bed room. The overall room size was a bit smaller than I expected, but it had all the amenities. I personally felt the bedding was a bit damp, and the room was stuffy when we first entered. The air conditioning worked well, though it was quite loud, as it's a bit old. The room also came stocked with potato chips, instant coffee, tea bags, soda, and mineral water, and they thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent. There were helpful notices posted in various places in the bathroom, showing good attention to detail. Aside from a few too-few outlets and the room being small and compact, I think it's still quite good.

Jinfo Mountain Resort Chongqing|78.16km from city centre
Every year, I make sure to visit Jinfo Mountain, and each time I stay at Tianxing Liangjiang. Previously, I mostly stayed in their family rooms, but this time, after the renovation, I opted for a deluxe standard room. Let's start with the positives: it offers great value for money. Post-renovation, the rooms feel more modern and incorporate some smart features. The twin beds are large enough, making it ideal for families with two children. Right outside, there's a shallow stream, which is incredibly convenient for kids to play in the water and then easily come back to the room to change and shower. Dining options are also plentiful, and it's very close to the West Slope cable car. Now for the downsides, which are new issues that have emerged since the renovation. One thing is absolutely unbearable: did the designers ever stay in a hotel with their family? The motion sensor light at the entrance turns on every time someone walks by. At night, whether an adult or child needs to use the restroom, it inevitably lights up. This type of sensor light is only suitable for someone staying alone, but this is a holiday resort area where most visitors are families. It seriously disrupts sleep. Another issue is the shower/toilet partition being too small. While it makes the space appear larger, it's extremely awkward for family travel like ours. The shower and toilet are only separated from the main room by a glass door, so you can't even dare to turn on the lights. The shower stall itself is tiny; you can't hang clothes inside. If you put them outside and open the door, anyone in the room can see right in. It's ridiculous! When getting dressed after a shower, you have to open the glass door just a crack, sneak a hand out like a thief, quickly grab the clothes from the chair, and bring them in to get dressed. These two points significantly detract from the overall stay experience.

Whenever I visit Chongqing, the Grand Hyatt Fuli is always my top choice. The hotel has a stately and elegant atmosphere, and the soundproofing and bedding in the rooms are excellent. I'd especially like to commend Xiao Wang at the front desk. Her service was incredibly attentive, always considering my personal preferences for my stay. She communicated kindly and thoughtfully, and handled all my requests, big or small, perfectly. She genuinely cared about my experience, and these comfortable stays wouldn't be possible without such outstanding service. All the hotel staff deserve praise for their excellent service.

Five-star review! The hotel location is unbeatable, right near Jiefangbei. It's super convenient for walking to nearby attractions and finding local food, and the room offers a fantastic river view with a wide field of vision. The room is clean, tidy, and very comfortable to stay in. The hotel also features a self-service laundry room with dryers, which is a lifesaver—you can wash your travel clothes right away instead of lugging a bunch of dirty laundry around. A special shout-out to the front desk staff: our return trip was quite late, and after a friendly chat, they gladly arranged a late check-out for us. The service is incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. A 10/10 overall experience! This will be my go-to hotel in Chongqing, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location is excellent and very convenient, especially for visiting some of the most famous attractions in Chongqing. The room was clean, comfortable, and looked exactly like the pictures. The service was also very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. One feature I really liked was the QR code service. You can scan the code and request personal necessities directly, then simply pick them up from the front desk. It’s completely free and saves you from having to call reception, which I found very convenient. The hotel also has a restaurant serving meals, although I didn’t get the chance to try the food, so I can’t comment on it. Overall, a very comfortable stay with a great location, clean rooms, good service, and some really convenient features. Great value and definitely a place I would recommend when visiting Chongqing.

Nanbin Road/Danzishi Chongqing|2.95km from city centre
Every year when I return to Chongqing, this hotel is my top choice. It's right on Nanbin Road, by the Yangtze River Bridge. While it doesn't directly face the busiest part of the night view, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is excellent, and the service is truly exceptional. The service team, especially Manager Xiaoqiu, genuinely embodies the 'service first' philosophy. It's an older five-star hotel, but the cleanliness is well-maintained. The value for money and overall experience are fantastic. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at The Westin Chongqing Liberation Square. The location is unbeatable—right downstairs is the Jiefangbei shopping district, making getting around and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Since I was celebrating my birthday, the hotel prepared a warm, festive room setup in advance, which added a really nice touch of occasion. There was a minor issue with the room upon check-in, but after speaking with the staff, they promptly upgraded me for free. Their attitude was exceptional throughout the process. The butler service was truly impressive—no matter what I needed, they responded swiftly and resolved everything in a timely, attentive, and thoughtful manner. The facilities and overall environment are great. The hotel's considerate service added so much value to this trip. Highly recommended, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chongqing!

Coming to Chongqing, I chose Niccolo, and it certainly didn't disappoint! I have to give it a huge thumbs up! 🌟 First, I must highly praise the hotel's service, especially staff member Jasmine! From check-in, she was incredibly warm and attentive, with a truly infectious smile. She proactively introduced us to the hotel facilities and nearby attractions, and thoughtfully reminded us about the weather and travel tips. Every time we met her in the corridor or lobby, she would greet us and ask if we were comfortable, truly making us feel like we were being looked after by a friend – that's what 'feeling at home' means! Next, let's talk about breakfast. The variety was truly amazing! There were both Chinese and Western options. The Chongqing noodles were incredibly authentic, and there were freshly made omelets, freshly squeezed juices, and all sorts of exquisite desserts. We ate there for two days and didn't have the same thing twice. The restaurant environment is also excellent, with window seats offering river views. Eating breakfast while enjoying the scenery in the morning truly boosts your mood. Here's the highlight – it's incredibly photogenic! The hotel itself has a strong sense of design. The lobby, corridors, and floor-to-ceiling windows in the room – every casual shot looks like a masterpiece. Especially the skyline view; during the day, you see the convergence of the two rivers, and at night, you see the city lights – it looks good no matter how you photograph it. My photos exploded on social media, and everyone thought I had gone to some art exhibition. The room was clean and comfortable, the bedding was very soft, and the night view was unbeatable. The location is also convenient, with IFS downstairs, making shopping and dining easily accessible. In short, this stay far exceeded my expectations. The service, breakfast, views, and photo opportunities were all top-notch. Special thanks to Jasmine for her care. Next time I'm in Chongqing, I will definitely stay here again! I highly recommend it to all friends visiting Chongqing!

Our family trip's stay exceeded expectations! The hotel concierge was well-staffed; as soon as we got out of the car, staff members proactively opened doors and helped with luggage, showing great enthusiasm for service. When I went downstairs to pick up takeout, they even offered to deliver it to the butler's cabinet, which was incredibly thoughtful. The staff at Liangjiang Bar and Balang were professional and attentive. They proactively informed me of the best prices and listened carefully to my needs. The switchboard responded quickly, and every call was answered with full enthusiasm; room service for deliveries was prompt. The lobby was cleaned frequently, and the restrooms were consistently spotless. Reception staff even proactively tidied up sofa cushions that were squashed, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail. The gym staff were enthusiastic and proactively introduced the facilities. All female employees at the hotel had exquisite and appropriate makeup, attire, and accessories. Upon check-in, the room was arranged according to my notes, and the room's maintenance was excellent. Overall, it's very suitable for family and parent-child travel, highly recommended!

Fairy Mountain National Forest Park/Fairy Mountain Town Chongqing|116.09km from city centre
The Huabang Hotel, located within Fairy Mountain National Forest Park, was our chosen destination for a late-summer getaway with my parents before school started. With classes resuming soon, the hotel wasn't overly crowded, and the booking price was quite reasonable, offering excellent value for money. **Environment:** This is one of the older hotels in Fairy Mountain, so the interior facilities in the rooms look a bit dated due to its age. However, the overall cleanliness is good, and the hotel is very quiet, making for a comfortable stay. Plus, the natural scenery around the hotel is fantastic, with attractions like Red Maple Stone Forest and grasslands. Guests staying at the hotel, as well as those from the adjacent Zhuoya Hotel, can access the vast grassland by swiping their room cards, which is very convenient. **Dining:** Since we only stayed one night, we mainly experienced the breakfast. The variety of dishes was quite rich, and the noodles were particularly delicious. **Service:** The staff were all very friendly and attentive to guests' needs, doing their best to accommodate requests. For our group of three, who booked a twin room, the front desk kindly arranged an extra breakfast portion for us. **Suggestions for Improvement:** When we went for breakfast and provided our room number, the staff checked and informed us that two people from our room number had already entered. This forced me to prove that we were indeed the legitimate guests of that room. The hotel could easily upgrade its system, perhaps by installing a machine to scan room cards for dining, which would avoid such awkward situations and simplify record-keeping. Also, we stayed in Building 1, and for some reason, possibly renovations, there was a knocking sound from construction work for both days we were there. Although they were careful with the timing, it was still a bit noisy for those who come to the mountain specifically to relax. The hotel might consider either not selling rooms in this building during the off-peak season to carry out renovations all at once or proactively inform guests about the times when construction noise might occur. **Overall Impression:** Overall, we were very satisfied, and my mom has already decided she wants to come back again. Just a few minor details could be improved upon.

This hotel in Jiefangbei is a true travel gem! Found it on Doubao (haha), and the location is absolutely fantastic. It's within walking distance to Jiefangbei and Bayi Delicious Street, and not far from Hongyadong and Raffles City either. The room was meticulously cleaned, no strange odors, and the mattress and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent; I could sleep soundly even in the bustling city center. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, all toiletries were provided, and the hot water supply was strong. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and efficient with check-in, patiently answering all my questions. Overall, the value for money is great.
