Our flight was delayed, and we arrived at the hotel in the early morning. The male front desk staff on duty was fluent in English and very kind, which made our late check-in smooth.
The hotel room furniture and amenities are a bit dated, but overall they were kept clean.
However, we had a very unpleasant experience at the fitness center. After using the swimming pool, we tried to use the spin dryer in the changing room, but it didn't work. When we asked the fitness staff for help, they rudely dismissed the issue and bluntly said it was impossible without even checking.
Fortunately, when we inquired at the 1st-floor lobby, a staff member named William helped us deal with this issue. He personally accompanied us back to the fitness center and thoughtfully arranged for us to use the staff dryer. We are deeply grateful for William’s professional and kind service.
That being said, the hotel needs to address a few operational issues:
The mini spin dryer in the changing room should be repaired or replaced promptly.
The senior staff member at the fitness center showed a poor professional attitude —shirked responsibilities by pushing tasks onto a subordinate who claimed that day was her first day working at the hotel fitness center (believe it or not), and was impolite to guests.

A pleasant surprise! I randomly picked this hotel on Ctrip and was very satisfied with my stay. The room was spacious, and we ended up staying two nights. The main highlight is the convenient location, right near Jiefangbei, with plenty of food and shopping options nearby. It's easy to get to all the attractions. There's even a pretty good hotpot restaurant (Li Enen Xiaoyuan Hotpot) diagonally across the street. My little one also enjoyed the hotel's pool, and we savored wine and city views from the executive lounge on the top floor. Highly recommend! Location: Situated inside Chongqing's landmark 'Grand Sail' building, directly above Raffles City and with direct metro access. Within walking distance to Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the pier. There are three hotels in the 'Sail' building: InterContinental Raffles City, Hotel Indigo, and Ascott. Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand, the developer of Raffles City, so its quality is undoubtedly top-notch.
Facilities: Positioned as a serviced apartment, the public areas are compact yet comfortable and practical. The lobby offers complimentary tea and fresh flowers. A significant portion of the public space is dedicated to guests. The gym is well-equipped with at least two treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as a full set of resistance machines. There's also a yoga room with river views, comparable to a small commercial gym. It provides hot/cold water, sanitizing wipes, towels, and even headphones with sterilized covers. The swimming pool was closed during our two-day stay, so we hope to check it out next time.
Below the hotel is Raffles City's urban garden, leading directly to a river-view platform – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle.
Room: We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, so spacious it was astounding. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bathtub in the master. It includes a washer and dryer, perfect for families. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood. A complete set of dishes and cookware is provided. The facilities are excellently maintained; the microwave and oven looked almost unused.
The room offers a pillow menu and abundant storage space.
Due to its unique location, Ascott's rooms offer either unbeatable river views, stunning city views, or like ours, views of both.
Service: Special thanks to Miss Genny at the front desk, who was incredibly patient during our check-in, attentively asked about our needs, and efficiently arranged our room. We arrived early, intending only to store our luggage, but to our surprise, we received our room key immediately. We are very grateful.
All hotel staff were exceptionally proactive, friendly, and helpful – carrying luggage, greeting us upon sight, making us feel right at home. The staff member on the ground floor was also wonderful, assisting with getting in and out of cars/moving luggage and patiently giving directions.

The hotel is located in Nanping, which is actually quite convenient. It's just a taxi ride across the Yangtze River Bridge, or a 5-minute walk from Metro Line 3. It's an older hotel, but generally clean, though there is a slight musty smell. The suites come in two types: '20' offers a slight river view, while '10', which I initially got, had virtually no view. After speaking to the front desk, they moved me to a '20' suite on a higher floor the next day, which was excellent service. The room also had cute little bears. The hotel breakfast was just okay; for a picky eater like myself, a German brand hotel not offering pretzel bread for breakfast is something I think could be improved. The package also included a complimentary beer, which was very refreshing on a hot summer day. Overall, it offers great value for money. The staff were very warm and attentive. When we arrived, they immediately offered us refreshing lemon and plum juice from the hotel's self-service, which was incredibly crisp and tasty. Housekeeping was prompt; they even helped us with laundry while we were out exploring. Food delivery riders can bring orders directly to your room. Honestly, if it's not too hot, a short walk will get you to a ton of great food options. You can easily walk to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong from here, and to get to Liziba, you can take Line 2. This is an older five-star hotel, and my stay was just average. They strictly enforce the 3 PM check-in time. We arrived in Chongqing in the morning and couldn't check in, so we stored our luggage and went out. We came back around 1 PM, asked the front desk, but still couldn't check in. They said our deluxe suite had a late checkout and housekeeping hadn't finished cleaning it. We had to wait until 3 PM, so we had no choice but to wait in the hotel lobby. It felt quite rigid, without consideration for basic guest needs. After we checked in, one of the two bathrooms in the suite had a broken overhead shower. There were no welcome fruits, and the hotel didn't have a room service robot, so we had to go downstairs ourselves to pick up our takeout, which was inconvenient. I read reviews saying the hotel was a bit old, but it's exceptionally well-maintained and looks like it's only 5 or 6 years old. I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. Everyone was so nice and kind. The service was top- notch. The amenities were plenty and easy accessible. A few extras that made everything worth it were the full- sized refrigerator, with freezer, the washing machine (for which they provided soap as well), dish washer, stove top, towel drier ( in the washroom) and full sized closet. The view was so beautiful and calming as well. Everything about this room was just so nice and exactly what I needed.
I didn’t realize how perfect the location was in relation to almost everything that I wanted to see. When I figured that out, I just got up every day and walked to everything that I needed or wanted to see. It was extremely close to a lot of restaurants, malls, local shops and smaller attractions. I was less than a 10 -15 minute walk to Raffles City Shopping Center where there is a 5 story mall, Movie theatre, roof top attraction with the swing, SKY WALK and also the river front park with amazing views. Same distance for Hongyadong, the viewing platform, the Qiansemen Bridge- if you wanted to walk across the bridge at night- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! There is so much to see and experience between the hotel and these attractions. Your days will be filled with fun and adventure.

I stayed at this hotel for six nights. It's a five-star hotel, and the lobby, hallways, and even the six elevators are quite grand. However, being over ten years old, it does show its age a bit. I stayed in a duplex room, which was very spacious and satisfying in terms of size. What surprised me though was that in a two-bathroom setup, the downstairs bathroom didn't have a shower. The upstairs bathroom had a good wet and dry separation. But the shower drain was very slow; the water would quickly rise above your ankles when showering. I even changed rooms because of this, but the new room had the same issue.
The room provided welcome fruit and drinks, and there was also an afternoon tea. Breakfast was served until at least 10 AM, I think even until 12 PM. There was also a refrigerator in the room.
The hotel breakfast wasn't lacking in variety, but I always felt the quality wasn't very high. The hot dishes in the hot food section were mostly vegetarian, with only an occasional dish like minced pork with long beans appearing daily.FromCAD 70

Definitely not recommended on WARM DAYS because the hotel will turn off AC completely. I stayed at this hotel from 5/8 to 5/11, In-room HVAC only worked on daytime when outdoor temperature reached about 30 degrees, in room temperature was cooling down and comfortable enough. However, the hotel shut down AC system at night because outdoor temperature is not hot enough, that leading to in room temperature went back to 27 degrees, I got totally sleepless. Understood the hotel tried to save money on electricity, but AC system is the one of basic amenity systems and should not shut down the mostly of the days.
Moldy grout, moldy caulking are all around the shower, the picture attached. Non adjustable shower head with fixed holder need upgraded. That shows lack of the maintenance for rooms.
Room attendant provided great service she could and made me feel comfortable and welcome.

If you like quiet places, August at South Hot Spring is a great choice! We left after work on Friday and arrived quite late. Our room had a private hot spring, and we chose a king-size bed room. The overall room size was a bit smaller than I expected, but it had all the amenities. I personally felt the bedding was a bit damp, and the room was stuffy when we first entered. The air conditioning worked well, though it was quite loud, as it's a bit old. The room also came stocked with potato chips, instant coffee, tea bags, soda, and mineral water, and they thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent. There were helpful notices posted in various places in the bathroom, showing good attention to detail.

I was on a business trip to Chongqing and had a friend book a popular influencer hotel for me. I couldn't stand it after one night. I switched to this hotel, but only booked two days, worried about the same situation. However, after checking in, I found both the hotel environment and cleanliness to be excellent. The hotel gym, in particular, had new equipment and great service, making me want to work out every day. I ended up extending my stay for another two days. It's a very good hotel, and I'll consider staying here again next time I'm in Chongqing. I also want to mention that this hotel is next to Changjiang International, so the views are especially good, and the night view is also excellent. The key is that there are many young people checking in for photos, which is quite a sight to see every day when coming and going. The only downside is that the doormen in the lobby lack service awareness. There were no measures to store umbrellas on rainy days, and they didn't bother to help with food deliveries, just telling guests to find the front desk, as if it had nothing to do with them. Choosing Niccolo Chongqing for my trip was absolutely the right decision; the happiness of the entire journey began the moment I stepped into the hotel. The high-altitude lobby instantly revealed the magical essence of the mountain city, while the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room felt like a living painting. By day, I watched the river and the stacked buildings, and at night, as the lights came on, the Two Rivers night view sparkled like a galaxy – I couldn't bear to draw the curtains even when just gazing out.
The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise, offering a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options. The Chongqing noodles were spicy and fragrant, and there was a great selection of freshly baked bread, fruits, hot dishes, and desserts. After a satisfying meal, it was incredibly convenient to head out and explore IFS and Jiefangbei, given the hotel's excellent location.
I especially want to thank Mia at the front desk! She was incredibly warm, had a kind smile, and was very efficient. She thoughtfully introduced the hotel facilities, breakfast times, and nearby attractions. When we asked about the best spots for night view photos or good local food, she patiently gave recommendations, treating us like friends. Any issues we had during our stay were promptly and effectively resolved, which was truly reassuring.

The Huabang Hotel, located within Fairy Mountain National Forest Park, was our chosen destination for a late-summer getaway with my parents before school started. With classes resuming soon, the hotel wasn't overly crowded, and the booking price was quite reasonable, offering excellent value for money.
**Environment:** This is one of the older hotels in Fairy Mountain, so the interior facilities in the rooms look a bit dated due to its age. However, the overall cleanliness is good, and the hotel is very quiet, making for a comfortable stay. Plus, the natural scenery around the hotel is fantastic, with attractions like Red Maple Stone Forest and grasslands. Guests staying at the hotel, as well as those from the adjacent Zhuoya Hotel, can access the vast grassland by swiping their room cards, which is very convenient.
**Dining:** Since we only stayed one night, we mainly experienced the breakfast. The variety of dishes was quite rich, and the noodles were particularly delicious.
**Service:** The staff were all very friendly and attentive to guests' needs, doing their best to accommodate requests. For our group of three, who booked a twin room, the front desk kindly arranged an extra breakfast portion for us.
**Suggestions for Improvement:**
When we went for breakfast and provided our room number, the staff checked and informed us that two people from our room number had already entered. This forced me to prove that we were indeed the legitimate guests of that room. The hotel could easily upgrade its system, perhaps by installing a machine to scan room cards for dining, which would avoid such awkward situations and simplify record-keeping. Also, we stayed in Building 1, and for some reason, possibly renovations, there was a knocking sound from construction work for both days we were there. Although they were careful with the timing, it was still a bit noisy for those who come to the mountain specifically to relax. The hotel might consider either not selling rooms in this building during the off-peak season to carry out renovations all at once or proactively inform guests about the times when construction noise might occur.
**Overall Impression:** Overall, we were very satisfied, and my mom has already decided she wants to come back again. Just a few minor details could be improved upon.FromCAD 127

We chose the Chongqing Marriott Hotel for our Mid-Autumn Festival trip to Chongqing. Even during the holiday, the hotel's service was well-organized, and check-in at the front desk was very quick. We stayed in a river-view room on the 30th floor facing the Twin Towers. The moment I opened the door and saw the floor-to-ceiling windows, I couldn't help but exclaim 'wow!' The view was absolutely stunning. The room was also very clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was excellent. After a day out exploring, I could completely relax at night without any disturbances.
I highly recommend the hotel's rooftop observation deck.
